I’m quite happy on the whole as I’ve been on holiday this week, so lots of eating out and wine. No plans for November, except one long weekend away, so determined to see good results by staying within my calories, walking as much as possible and avoiding wine! Well done everyone 👏👏6 -
Thanks @mtaratoot !!! So excited2

This was my worst month yet on my weight loss journey this time. Not only did I not meet my monthly goal, but I’m back where I was at the beginning of the month. The next 2 months will be even harder with the holidays. I’m not giving up though!8 -
@ashleycarole86 congrats on reaching Onederland!! 💥🎉👍💪1

Total loss for October Second week in a row I'm up about a pound which is the wrong direction. At least I'm still down for the month, but just about two pounds. Then again, if I look at it as a half pound a week loss based on my average weight, I'm doing just fine so I shouldn't mope about the ups when I also get the downs. So I won't give up.
Yet.

I’m happy with this even though the loss is super slow. I’m exercising more regularly and feel a lot better so that’s more important than just the number on the scale.

My name is Donna. I am 61 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US.
Start Weight (from Sept 30 ): 186.2
Goal Weight: 181.2 (5 pound loss)
End of Challenge Weight: 188.2
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)
Oct 01: ….187.0 Hopeful for some good progress this month. Good luck everyone!
Oct 03: ….. 187.0 Still waiting.
Oct 10: …..185.6 Much better but this reflects an overnight gain that I’m not too happy about. DD#2 moved back in last night with DGS#4. Age 3. This will be hard to coordinate my special meals and exercise. All during the reno too. House full of people everyday with drywall mud, paint buckets, boxes of bathroom tile and now a TON of toys. I just hope I don’t fall again!
Oct 17: …..186.2…..(Trend Weight 187.2)…..A bit of travel this week, otherwise it was pretty good. Exercise and walking slowing down due to weather and time constraints too. However, the renovations are going a bit better for the most part. Serious lack of privacy in my home, especially since DD and DGS age 3 moved in (and workers here 7 days per week), but even with the inability to exercise indoors, it’s nice to see progress on the project at least! My weight today is my exact starting weight from so I’m hoping I can make progress in the next two weigh-ins.
Oct 24: …. Surgery was almost cancelled as my glucose was at 366 Fasting that morning. They pulled in a total of 5 anesthesiologists to confer. To give me an insulin shot (which I don’t normally take, just pills) would constitute the start of a “treatment plan”. Living 4 hours away and without having planned this, they did not want to start that as it would mean they would have to start following up with appointments etc. They finally got special permission if I was put into twilight but not to the point of sleeping. Lidocain was used to numb which did not work. I felt all 4 cuts and removal (which was actually pretty quick). But it hurt like Haides. Awake, I told them. They renumbed me for the stitches. I considered it all my own fault because they had to so lightly use everything for my surgery. I didn’t eat healthy on the way down and could probably have prepared better. I think I am already beginning to heal, it is itching like heck but still very swollen. I haven’t actually seen it yet as it’s not time to take off the bandages. I’ll closely monitor my healing over the next few days due to the high glucose problem which greatly affects healing. The stitches on the interior will dissolve by themselves. I’m feeling pretty good overall but just a bit wobbly. Now, we wait for pathology which I feel very good about since they had already removed a lot of it and it came up clear. Taking the rest out is a precaution and I feel like it will test okay too. Thanks again to all the wonderful wishes and comments. It’s nice to have the great support that MFP offers in every area. .
Oct 31: ….. This has been a horrid month. Renovations and surgery limited my ability to exercise. My diet has been less than desirable most days since my daughter and grandson moved back in. All excuses aside, I’ve got to change things in November or I will lose all my progress. Gain this month 2.0 lbs.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
