    Mail?

Just about everything here is online. We read the newspapers online. Bills are paid automatically. Most places who used to send magazines do it all online.

It's almost exciting when we do receive mail because it's relatively rare.

hope you feel better soon- when I have the funky stomach, I go with ginger tea or candied ginger- I do that often. Trying to figure out what causes it.

KIM ginger tea is a good idea, lighter than bread and crackers.

BETH I'm glad your leg is progressing. I'm sorry about your family's, behavior. You don't deserve that.

FLEA that sounds unpleasant for the wig. I can understand your not wanting to wear it.

    VICKI happy anniversary!

M – most everything (mail) is online. But there are still some things that come in the mail that you can’t get online. Admitted, not much..but there are some. I know that the tax bill for the condo comes only in the mail although we can pay it online (please don’t ask me to explain that). Same for another bill for the condo. I believe it’s the electric bill. Most of the bills for the house are online. We do see certain things in the paper for here online, just not the entire paper. But we do get a paper down there. Most of our medical test results.

Allie we just had some painting done and i wish I had asked them to put up some plastic in the doorways. A fine layer of dust coated our entire main floor. I am having to go through and vacuum wash just about anything that was out. DH is in stage 4 cancer and does not need that dust. Neither to I. I would wear a good quality mask while they are working and when you clean up after them.

MARGARET I'm sorry about that. That's a bummer about the paint and dust. `with all you have to worry about.

HEATHER was the tuna raw or cooked. (in sesame and wasabe that makes me think of sushi)

    WONKY SLEEP

Thursday I slept only about 3h, Friday about 6, which is okay. then Saturday at about 7pm I could barely keep my eyes open. I fell asleep at maybe 7 or 8 woke at midnight and then on and off sleep. wide awake for much of the night. Oh well.

    WONKY BELLY

I had a veggie bowl out - the seller told me it was rice but I'm not sure - looked like kasha - got wierd digestion after that ---

    October
30: Identify three things that give you hope for the future: nope, more focused on being grateful for the NOW.
31: Set a goal that brings a sense of purpose for the coming month: pending inspiration. The first few things that popped into mind had result in reducing sense of purpose (backing away from fire district, council)

Oops. I see my spoiler typo exposed you all to the rant. Sorry.

Machka “someplace safe” boy, does that sound familiar!
Allie sorry you’re suffering, glad you’re taking care of yourself. ((hugs))
KJ I think you are “truly an amazing and strong woman” just like Lanette, Machka, Barbie, Katla, Kylia, Margaret, Vicki, Annie, Rebecca and of course Rori, all you caregiving gals. You all set the bar high.
Rita imho there has to be a click of connection with a counselor to make a difference. Would your DH go to a couples counselor with you? I never thought Joe would, but when I left him for a week, he did, to save our marriage. Taught us some communication skills, opened our eyes a bit to each other’s perspective, made a huge difference in my life and his attitude. Wishing you both well.
Julie hope your new renter’s fix-it skills are the best!

Between pack walk and surprise beach stroll this afternoon, my knees and hips were screaming when I got home. Broke down and took an ibuprofen. Time to snooze.

    Lighter, lovelies!

Julie - I cooked it lightly. In a frying pan. I like it rare in the middle, DH less so. (I had to put his back in the pan) It's a Gordon Ramsey recipe. The steaks were HUGE,! I've had my fish quota for a month! :p

Zwifting + weights and stretching + 2 hours of weeding!

I'll be lucky to be able to get out of bed tomorrow!

I want to find inexpensive gravel somewhere. I weeded most of the footpath and it needs work to shore up the base, but then it would be good to put gravel down.

In May 2018, there was a huge rainstorm - over 100 mm in just a few hours. The footpath turned into a waterfall and the dirt and everything ended up at the base of the stairs into the house. I shovelled a bunch of it back onto the path but it was pretty messed up. Recently we've had a number of heavy rainstorms and it's not in great shape.

We were at Bunnings (like Home Depot) today and gravel would end up being quite expensive from there.

Hey all! Another rainy morning. I don't really mind the rain. We have needed it. It was an unusually dry and sunny summer; then October began and so did the rain. Unusually rainy month. Just a few degrees colder and it would be snow; which is much more to my liking.
Yesterday, I was going to do my cooking after I got the shopping done. But DH told me to just sit down and not over do it. lol So, I made out my calendars for the next two months of childcare, wrote out my newsletter to parents, and signed up for a 30 hour class on business management (begins in January). I feel very satisfied with the day. Today, I will make a couple of soups, a chicken salad for DH to nibble on, bake a couple of squashes for meals this week, laundry and clean house.
Beth- Thank you for the "soup" freezing idea! Definitely helpful!
Machka- Thank you for the menopause articles! Good info! I sent them to my DH, because we were just talking about menopause, due to the fact that he found me the other night, asleep in shorts and a tank top, no blankets, window wide open and it was 45 degrees outside. He covered me up and closed the window and I woke up enough to grumble at him. lol Like you, I entered perimenopause early (around 40) and I am very close to the end of it all, at age (almost) 55!
Heather- Your meals always sound so wonderful! Fair warning, if I ever get across the ocean to your area, I will be trying to get a reservation at Chez Heather! lol

Well, I better get moving. I find the longer I sit; the more likely my motivation leaves me and I get altogether too comfortable just sitting. Not good. ttfn xoxoxo Hugs to all who need them! KJ (Kelly)

Tasmania had our wettest October since 1947. This was Hobart's third wettest October in 140 years of records.
