I'm not too worried about it right now because I'm still pretty sick and taking ibuprofen and cold medicine (and both can cause fluid retention). I'm happy with the 4 lbs I've lost so far this month. Hi there! I’m Athena, I’ve been struggling on and off with my weight for a good while and was recommended to try accountability buddies to help each other reach our goals. Thought this would be a good route for that! Let’s see if we can survive turkey day! 😆
My plan for the weeks ahead are to focus on eating at home and only go out to eat on Saturdays/Sundays (restaurant/fast food) and to focus on portion controlling. I’m also planning to work out for an hour three times a week.

I gave into my overeating yesterday and wasn’t mindful. I feasted for breakfast and didn’t eat for a while, then we went to the mall late and got food to go. Also drank too, I definitely ate the most I’ve eaten all this month. I woke up this morning feeling embarrassed I gave fully into my overeating, thinking it’d help me feel better with my life struggles, ya know, let go for a while. It didn’t. But, I’m also feeling happy I’m realizing this because I think it’ll help me keep the mindfulness when I eat. I’m also happy I feel I’ve only given in this week when it used to be every week.

Im so bummed I can’t weigh in and I’m not getting my steps in! I am back to tracking calories daily but until I get home I won’t know what or if I’ve done well. I’m doing an hour of yoga a day for strength though so building muscle is key to upping my metabolism.

My big family feast will be on Sunday and that’s when the pies come out! Yikes! Me and pies are like besties! I don’t have them any other time of the year but holidays so I know I will be partaking which will likely make these numbers worse. What can I do today and tomorrow (before the big feast) to help? I usually don't eat back any of my exercise calories. I expected my weight loss to slow down about a month or 2 ago. Guess its time now. No elliptical today. Was cleaning to get ready for baking for Thanksgiving.

November 17 184.5 lbs ⬇️ My regular Wednesday weigh-in. This month has been more consistent in the weight fluctuations. I am down 1.5 lbs mid month. A couple things I have noticed for myself is not drinking enough water does make a difference in the peaks of my weight gain. Always been a big water drinker but I have to be more diligent. Also reduces the carbs in the morning have been helping. Carbs are my weakness.

Late dinner at 9:00 PM and early rise and weigh-in this morning. Shocked but it was a lot of starch with the mashed potatoes, gravy and dinner rolls (among other things). My big family feast will be on Sunday and that’s when the pies come out! Yikes! Me and pies are like besties! I don’t have them any other time of the year but holidays so I know I will be partaking which will likely make these numbers worse. What can I do today and tomorrow (before the big feast) to help? Well……a lot. A WHOLE LOT.

November 17 184.5 lbs ⬇️ My regular Wednesday weigh-in. This month has been more consistent in the weight fluctuations. I am down 1.5 lbs mid month. A couple things I have noticed for myself is not drinking enough water does make a difference in the peaks of my weight gain. Always been a big water drinker but I have to be more diligent. Also reduces the carbs in the morning have been helping. Carbs are my weakness.

Yay…I did it! 🎉🎊🎉 I reached my month end goal weight. I just stuck with the program and it happened. Thanksgiving didn’t make it any easier but the sodium weight is melting away.
Thank you to all on this thread who have provided accountability and support. I still have 11 pounds to go. But much more than the weight loss is the trust I’m building in myself.

11/21/21-177.4 lbs Has to be water weight although I ate about 400-600 more calories than my usual (1689- usually eat 1000-1200) but still way under my allotted calories (3804) with exercise. I usually don't eat back any of my exercise calories. I expected my weight loss to slow down about a month or 2 ago. Guess its time now. No elliptical today. Was cleaning to get ready for baking for Thanksgiving.
11/22/21-178 lbs, did 223 minutes on my Elliptical, 15 miles. Making pumpkin 5 rolls today, pumpkin and apple pies tomorrow. They won't be on my log in. I need to figure out by Christmas Keto friendly versions, by trial and error. Recipes I've seen don't look close enough to mine. And I'm well known for my baking. Once a new acquaintance asked me if I baked professionally. I have to work Wednesday. Waiting FAIRLY patiently for water weight to drop.

It’s been a crazy week of family & bad eating. I need a do over .3 -
Hi there! I’m Athena, I’ve been struggling on and off with my weight for a good while and was recommended to try accountability buddies to help each other reach our goals. Thought this would be a good route for that! Let’s see if we can survive turkey day! 😆
My plan for the weeks ahead are to focus on eating at home and only go out to eat on Saturdays/Sundays (restaurant/fast food) and to focus on portion controlling. I’m also planning to work out for an hour three times a week.
Currently, I am only 4 pounds away from my heaviest but determined to make that number bigger this month.

Hey Athena we have all been there. Me just recently 😜
I am pleased that I joined this group as I usually weigh in weekly so weighing in daily is certainly keeping me more mindful but sometime life just happens.
As long as we can continue to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and continue to weigh and log we are creating wonderful habits for life
@sammcc2 Thank you, this is super motivating! Yeah, it’s such a struggle sometimes for sure. 😆 I’m glad I joined as well, being in a space with people with the same goal is really helping me to keep going. Will definitely join the next one!3
