Woo! Welcome back to the grind! Getting ready for April to hit? First quarter's almost done! (If you're above 505.5 miles by April 1st, you're right on track - if you're above 0, you have a fighting chance! 1,000 miles in a month is possible - it's just not very fun. )
Double rides today, neither very hard. Saving the legs for murdering myself on Saturday. It's gonna be so much fun.

Speaking of rides, did 3 today - rode with the munchkin to school, rode with a friend on Zwift so she could finish the Tour of Watopia, and rode the April Fools ride on Zwift because who doesn't want to laugh at their avatar bopping around with a massive bobblehead?

Did the Assault on the Carolinas today on the Bianchi. Climbing was lovely on that bike. Descending? Not so much - it's touchy and squirrely and much less sturdy than my steel bike on steep, twisting mountain roads in the downward direction. Plus the carbon fiber forks deliver every vibration of road imperfection straight to my right shoulder. Oof. Still, set a PR of 4:30:15 on this ride with its overabundance of climbing (Caesar's Head is a category 1 climb), so I'm incredibly happy.

Spin 30 minutes easy ride, I taught spin in jeans and dress shoes. There was only one person and she was new so she only wanted a half hour class. Worked for me.
BTW the knees are finally feeling better, but work has me struggling to find time to ride. Guess I really am going to have to become a morning person...

I only managed to fit in 3 cycles last week but did get 2 runs too. Ideally I wud like to fit in 4 cycles and 3 runs but I'm not sure how to fit it in without my legs falling off.

Hello! I’ve been off this group for a while. My dad was in the hospital for a couple of weeks- he’s recovering now- so between that and my marathon training I haven’t been riding much. I did get in about 9 miles on the Peloton this morning (sometime I’ll figure out my total so far). I’m sitting here waiting for the car to take me and my husband to the airport for Boston. Tbh. I’m kind of scared. I’ve run 8-9 marathons before- one in January- so I know I can, it’s just this is the holy grail so to speak. Wish me luck! In 4 days, I’ll be about 2.5 hours into the race so it will be starting to get tough….
I’ll be back on the bike April 20th!2
