Old fat boi getting into it again...

Hey everyone. I'm Darron and I'm a fat lad who was in denial for so so long.
I used to be a workout freak in my youth, fit, young and in to everything fitness orientated. Then life took over. I got married, had kids, got lazy, then the weight started to increase over time. Nothing major, just that odd pound here and there, nothing coming off, just slowly creeping on over months, years to the point where on my last birth day I'd gone from a 10st 7lb 21 year old, to a 19st 3lb 50 year old. That was February 2022.
My son is now a 21 year old PT living in Glasgow. He's bigger now than I ever was, but his route to fitness is vastly different to mine and I'm so proud of him. However, he's now focussed his attention to his auld Da. I'm in his cross hairs and he's not letting go.
My macros have been defined, my step target set and he's increasing strength training in there now too. In the last month I've lost 16lbs and I'm eating better than before. Because, as every honest PT out there will tell you, it's not about exercising (though that is important), it's about what you eat, more specifically, how many calories are in it. Tracking (using this app) everything keeps you mindful of what you're doing on a daily basis, and being consistent with it too. My son is certainly make me that.
So this is my journey, and I'm blogging about each event (some good, some bad) that my journey back down the weight scale takes me.
