Kim- the fire sounds terrible. Glad you and your friends are ok.
Lisa- You crack me up. Circle of stuff. Elton John should write a song. I just finished going through two closets of my clothes. It was so hard to get rid of my clothes I had for work because they were really nice. But I haven’t worn them in 24 years so out they went. We have a place called Mission Granbury with a really nice resale shop. I was limited to three garbage bags full. I have some things I am keeping in hopes I will lose some weight but not going too well so far. This fall I plan to do it again. Go through my clothes not try to lose weight. That is a never ending struggle.
Heather- love the pictures. I especially liked the tiny flower in the lava rocks.
Tracy- hope you enjoyed the concert. He puts on a great concert.
Went to water aerobics this morning. I was all dressed to work in the yard and thought I would rather be in the pool so this is what I did.
Stay cool

This is our ship at anchor.
And this is the tender that takes us back to it.
Amazing sights today. Now for a gin and tonic and canapés.

Our son is worried about us. DH is having health issues, and our son is considering flying here to visit. We’re also expecting a visit from our daughter later in a month or so. July is just a round the corner.11

No work tomorrow so the plan is to do a Jane Fonda Trim Tone and Flex DVD. Took a walk last night. Hope I can get one in tonight but with church and then dinner, not sure
After work today stopped at the farmer’s market. I thought for sure this was the day they were taking expired medication, but some of the police there let me go into the police station to drop it off even tho it wasn’t the day they were collecting. Then stopped at the Salvation Army (you never know what you’ll find...or nothing like today), then stopped at Food Lion to get some things on sale, then was going to buy gas but the line was out in the road so decided to go to WalMart and I’ll go get the gas later tonight, hopefully it won’t be as crowded.
Sent an email to the president of Newcomers stating that I’ve been chairing Rummikub for almost 10 years and I’d like to let another member take it. I will host in July, Deb in Aug, the new person can take the reins in September. I’m just tired of it.
Leslie – I love to cook but I’m not good at knowing with spices go well with what or just being able to “eyeball” how much of a certain spice, etc would be good
Tracey – have a good time at the concert
Allie – so glad for you and Dan
Jess just called to say that she passed to NC licensing exam! NC State really wanted that but was willing to let her start without it, but she would have had to get it soon afterwards. But now she doesn’t have to!
Heather – great pics. Thanks for sharing them
suebdew – how I miss my water aerobics!

Well ladies you'll get a laugh going to my friends place upstairs for hamburgers tonight, they are having beer and my friend Trudy is so funny ,they are talking about playing beer pong ha ha ha.5

We have noticed that the flooring in our upstairs deck needs attention. It is definitely dirty looking and needs a coat of waterproof paint to keep it in good condition and the flooring protected. We plan to go to the local paint store as soon as we can. DH isn’t up to the task today.7

Okie – as far as the water aerobics, I miss the people. Doing it on my own is OK, but I get energy from others
Think I’ll take a walk to the Food Lion. The one in Conover didn’t have the tostitos that I wanted (that are on sale). Maybe this one does. If not, I’ll get a rain check. That’s what I did at the other Food Lion
Heather – from someone who is addicted to cheese, that’s food porn….lol Glad you enjoyed it.
Walked to Food Lion but they didn’t have what I wanted so came home, had to put away some things in the pool shed and then water the bushes, empty the dishwasher, fold some clothes.
Might work on the puzzle a bit and then go to bed.

Kim! … what a terrifying experience!
Heather … I love “traveling” with you! Beautiful photos.
I got a lot done today but ate way too much. Need to get back to intermittent fasting… I’ve been lax and it’s beginning to show

Today went well. I had a lovely bird song from a song sparrow. It sat on our deck fence and we enjoyed every minute.
We have noticed that our upper deck needs some maintenance. I expect we’ll be shopping for outdoor flooring paint in a day or so.

Hi Gals,
My clients are great, some times they tip and sometimes they bring a little gift, a few days ago a gal brought me cookies, a type I had never heard of and ones with no description on them but the name Carmel Fingers. 190 calories per cookie… I had one today. The best darn thing I have ever had. Teri and maybe some other UK folks may know of these, Decadence by Holmes Bakery…. As best I can figure out they are not imported into the US; they come from N. Ireland. They are simple a wonderful buttery shortbread base with a layer of melt in your mouth caramel (not hard – not chewy truly melt in your mouth) then topped with a layer of nice quality milk chocolate.
It's a crazy amount of calories for one cookie, but oh my worth every calorie.
Sending love to all.
