Day/Weight/Steps/Active minutes/Comment
6/16 - 172.3* - 22,500 / 159. I am half way through my June watch challenge and I am just over my kms but its going to be hard to finish. Right now it says I need to do 13.1 km/day. I have 3 days that I am going to be pretty busy and getting 13 kms in could be hard. I'm not sure my watch knows that I have a desk job!! I'm looking forward to seeing some 6's .... Welcome all to the challenge!! Let's do this!!
6/17 - 171.1 - 17,100 / 100. Went to Costco it's out of town but did manage to get a few good steps in.
6/18 - 169.7* - 14,600. / 108. Happy to see that 6! Treated myself to a pedicure, very happy feet. Now I’m going to go push them and go for a long walk. Sorry feet! My oldest is in Vegas this weekend sending me lots of pictures of fun and sun. I am quite jealous. 4 years ago I was in Vegas and 19 lbs lighter. … I WILL BE THERE AGAIN! Well maybe not Vegas but some kind of a vacation. Have a wonderful Saturday All.
6/19 - 168* - 36,200 / 248. Got in a good walk 23 km. Then what I call a hot sauna bath and after made cookies for an upcoming Celebration of Life I’ve got some more to make and only tested 2!! Most of this loss is water and TMI and a balancing of some jump ups. Happy Father’s Day too all the Dads out there.
6/20 - 167.2 - 29,500 / 197. Had a good walk visited my Dad had a good dinner and an adult beverage. Looks like I need to adjust my calories and exercise calories. Have some concerns.
6/21 - 167.5* - 21,000 / 145. Smaller walk more calories no TMI. So I'm probably stable. My muscles are a little achy today, maybe the weather is changing and I'm hit the 'old person weather predictor' stage in life. lol Wishing you all a great day!!
6/22 - 167.4 - 21,500 / 170. Adding a few more calories (got some cheese puffs that I overheard a WW girl has as her best for her snack) , still working on my June walking challenge goal. SO called to say his part of the job has been cancelled now waiting to hear if that means he's coming home.

BF and I relaxed all weekend after kids went to their dad. 6 1/2 hours of driving in one day is surprisingly exhausting. Glad to be home and getting back on track.

Day/Weight/Comment (previous day steps)
6/16 359.6 5152 – I had an interesting day at work yesterday. Had a splurge meal that was so good. I had it too late in the day, but I enjoyed every bite. Back to business today.

We have not lived together since childhood, and it just would not work. This was stressing me out and I finally told her I could not do it. Too many red flags. I am going to tell her I will sign for her a place if they let me do it but I can not move in with her.

Net change 2022 = SW 380.0 EW 359.0 (-21.0) Overall goal: 28-42 lbs.In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbs.My highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs.
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010, weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO, the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively every day. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Every day I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.9 -

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Round 190 ( my 122nd). Thanks @QuiltingJaine.
Goal this round is to lose 1.5 pounds & no binges, keep within calories.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/16. 138.8 - Good start to the round. 6 miles walked yesterday, all calories eaten back, in fact 14 calories over. DH birthday today, spending it with him looking after 3 of our DGC all 3 or under.
6/17. 139.4 - 4.59 miles walked, managed an hour when we got back from DS yesterday evening, (he cooked tea for us). Sat outside till late with glass wine & had 4 of DH birthday chocolates, enjoying warm weather - it's going to break tomorrow.
6/18. 139.4 - only 3.51 miles walked yesterday; it was so so hot (29 C), way way too hot to walk during the day, concentrated on staying indoors or in the shade in a breeze, managed to get a leisurely half hour walk in just before dusk. Today is forecast rain (and a high of 15C) so probably struggle again to get walk in !!! Great British weather ?!!!
6/19 138.6 - 4.86 miles walked, family BBQ at lunchtime kept me full all day; just an apple for tea was sufficient!!
6/20 139.4 – 4.48 miles walked.
6/21 138.8 - 6.48 miles walked, good food day, no chocolate.
6/22 138.8 - 7.91 miles walked yesterday, good food day, no chocolate, 4/5 exercise calories eaten back.
6/23 139.8 – no structured exercise and lunch out with DSs, did make reasonable choice, but with no exercise calories I was over

I'm in for my first challenge! Thanks for this. I've been an MFP member for years and successfully lost the weight I wanted in the past. However, in recent years, I haven't been as disciplined. I'm in a holding pattern. I lose weight during the week but gain it back over the weekend. I may do a long bike ride (e.g. 50 miles) with my husband on a Saturday, but we also like to check out music at local breweries afterwards. Need I say more?
SW: 147 on 6/15
Day/Weight/Comment- 6/16 (Thursday): 146 - Planned my day's meals yesterday and actually stuck to it. Thanks for the challenge! Hoping to do the same today.
- 6/17 (Friday): 147.8 - We went out for dinner last night. The food was salty and I had two craft beers (which are high in calories). I'm cooking tonight!
- 6/18 (Saturday): ? - Cycled the Capitol trail from Jamestown to Richmond (51 miles) and spent the night. Drank lots of Gatorade. Did not track food. Downtown Richmond was nice! Nice dinner, then out for a drink and music.
- 6/19 (Sunday): ?- Cycled the Capitol trail from Richmond to Jamestown (51 miles). Did not track food. Ate a hearty breakfast. Drank lots of Gatorade.
- 6/20 (Monday): 148.6 - WHY do I gain weight after burning 1,000s of calories over the weekend? ... I did not track my food over the weekend. Starting over again! Completed 20-minute Yoga, and 30-minute core body strengthening Peloton classes. Planned my food/calories and stuck to it. Resisted drinking beer at dinner with my husband. Does anyone have tips for managing weekends while out dining, drinking and listening to music?
- 6/21 (Tuesday): 147.4 - Tracked my food yesterday and stuck to it.
- 6/22 (Wednesday): 147 - Tracked my food yesterday; 381 calories over daily goal, but had a vigorous workout on Peloton (45-minute power zone class)
- 6/23 (Thursday): 146.2 - Tracked my food and stayed pretty much on track yesterday (it was hard); 20 minute Peloton bike recovery ride and 20 minute Peloton beginner core strength workout. Tonight is date night, so I will go off track. I will drink a hazy IPA while listening to live music at one of our favorite breweries? Does anyone have a tip on how not to way-overdo-it[b/]?

6/16 - 179.6
One good thing about very hot weather—I don’t feel like eating much, and I crave light salads rather than fat. 😁
6/17 - 179.6
Tonight is our obedience club’s awards banquet, but I’ll try to behave myself. At least it isn’t a pitch in with a tableful of luscious desserts. Happy Friday, all!
6/18 - 181.8
Well, I tried, but not hard enough. I ate a crazy number of calories last night. Oh, well, moving right along…. I did not gain 2 pounds of fat overnight, so lots of water and and “normal” eating should put me back on track. The banquet was lots of fun, celebrating some outstanding achievements by dogs and their people.
6/19 - 180.2
Ok, better.
6/20 - 180.6
I got so busy this morning, I forgot to check in. Duh!
6/21 - 180.6
Gonna be a scorcher—98F forecast. I’m off to doggy school now. Have a good day, all!
6/22 - 180.6
Has anyone else tried GenoPalate! They use DNA to make nutritional recommendations. I just got my results and haven’t had time to go through the whole report, but I find the macros portion interesting. For me, they recommend 18-24% protein, 57-65% carbs, mostly complex, and 24-32% fats, with no more that 9% saturated. I’ve been eating MUCH more fat/sat fat than that, and not as much protein or carbs, but the recommended balance makes perfect sense to me when I think of times when I felt great and lost weight or maintained at a good weight. I’m going to strive to eat within their recommendations for a while and see what happens. The big challenge will be cutting back on cheese. 😁 I just wondered whether anyone else here has tried GenoPalate.
6/23 - 179
Finally! But switching my macros around is a challenge, since I’ve been eating pretty high fat for months. Slowly, slowly! And for fun stuff, my pup Rory earned his Intermediate Trick Dog title on Monday. Now we’re off to do some tracking before it gets too hot. Woof!

Round 190 Posts
Month/Day: Scale - First thing today before getting dressed, rounded to whole number.
/ Exercise – yesterday / Comment
Previous posts:6/15: 215 - Previous Day Starting Weight.
I am engaged in a battle to shed the weight I gained over the Christmas Holiday. It seems to have gained ground and taken a foothold!
6/16: 214
/nope. Desk jockey all day, meetings all evening/ The good news about being so busy is that the refrigerator is a long way away. One of my biggest accomplishments this week is avoidance of the “snaccidents” at work.
6/17: 215
/mowed grass, again/ Calories were ok, but a little salty.
6/18: 215 estimated because I got up so early to fish, I didn’t weigh.
6/19: 215
/fishing calories burned/ Food calories ok but not very nutritious. Happy with the number.
6/20: 216
/small walk, mostly sitting/ We had four generations around a pizza joint table for father’s day. Good day with family but not a good eating day. Lots of salt.
6/21: 217
/walk + some dumbbell work/ This weight reading does not bother me for two reasons.
First, this is my weekend catching up to me and it is well deserved. Yesterday I was a good boy.
Second, Since I only record rounded numbers lately, this “217” is just barely a pound more than the “215” of two days ago. (similarly, yesterday’s 216 was 0.2 pounds higher than the 215 of two days ago.
Aaaaaaaaand here I am doing exactly what I am trying to avoid by recording whole numbers. I am parsing pounds, getting analytical about 0.0009234 of my overall body weight.
Have a good longest day of the year to everybody in the Northern Hemisphere!
6/22: 214
/spinning preceded by Les Mils virtual stretching session./ I need to stretch more often. Maybe then I will actually be able to stretch. 😊
I ate back a few of my exercise calories yesterday.
And, I spent too much time yesterday trying to get Microsoft and Google to play nice. I see them as too little brats, but they are actually more like King Kong and Godzilla.
6/23: 216
/walked around blocks/ too much dessert and little nibbles. It all adds up. My food log is the whistle blower.

I’m in! I love challenges to hold me accountable! Thank you @quiltingjaine and all other members!
I’m a repeat MFPer! This most recent round I am the heaviest I’ve ever been. COVID, a work from home desk job, a breakup and a hysterectomy had the odds stacked against me but I will over come!

@britbuzzard My “reward” to myself was a Polar heart rate monitor back in 2008. I love it when I actually do a workout, at home or at the gym. The one I got then is no longer available but the one I have now links to my phone so I can see my progress while I’m working out. I used it yesterday for the first time since everything shut down for COVID! It’s surprising how we ALL seem to overestimate our calorie burn!3

It was a very good day on the diet front, but lousy on the movement front. Today I travel to finish the root canal (if tooth is not cracked down inside). It is expected to hit 100 degrees today, very unusual for northern Michigan. Thank God I will be out of town where there will be A/C in the drs office, the stores, the restaurant and in my car. I am taking my son to a steak house which is a real treat for us. Nothing like that around home! I will try to order something small but I’m not gonna lie, I know I will enjoy the sides. I will not be bring donuts home! The city I go to has the best…… oh, never mind!
06/22 ……205.2 ….. (Trend weight 204.5) WTH? 3 pounds overnight? Can’t be! I traveled yesterday and had my root canal completed by an endodentist. It feels so much better. I did eat one meal out but I thought it was very reasonable at the steak house. I even brought part of it home for son’s lunch today. The only contributing factors I can think of is that I have not taken the prescribed water pill for the two days prior, and I did not get any sleep last night (3 hours). I know my calories and carbs were over, but that is ridiculous. Today will be a very careful day.
06/23 ……203.0 ….. (Trend weight 204.3) Counted the calories and carbs all day but ended up with a shaky glucose drop around 7:00 pm. I carefully chose a snack but it did put me over calorie and carb count and more into the maint. Range. I did a nice 24 minute workout session with my son last night dancing to some great classic songs. I did take my water pill yesterday so I am wondering about the puff-up yesterday (no pill day before) and the drop today (after pill yesterday). It sure is hard to track what is really going on with that in the mix. I will just have to trust the process that if I am complying then I am progressing on this journey. And I’ll still watch all the numbers from food, to exercise, to weight. It just will not be an exact science at this point. Watching my trend weight will help too. Come on Onderland!

Hi, I’m Kathy.
57, F, 5’8”
16th round! Rebooting my lifestyle after several false starts. I need accountability to make sure it gets done.
Return to MFP SW (Dec 2021): 267
HSW: 267
RSW: 230.6
UGW for now: 195, then reevaluate
Goal for this round: less than I started with
2022 goals: move more (okay, move some), eat mindfully
Day/Weight/Comment
6/16 231.0 Ugh. Been letting job stress get to me and not sleeping well. Time to buckle down and break this plateau this round. Welcome new friends!
6/17 230.6 I’m approaching a problematic place. Feeling really discouraged on this plateau and didn’t bother to log in until mid-afternoon, where normally I’m on first thing in the morning logging breakfast. I must keep looking forward. I’ve been in this place before and given up, but I’m not going back this time.
6/18 230.8
6/19 230.2
6/20 231.0 Trying to lower my carb intake and see what that does for this plateau. Father’s Day yesterday didn’t help, and today’s my son’s birthday. But I’m doing my best.
6/21 230.8 Work was absolutely full of pressure yesterday so I didn't get to post.
6/22 229.2 Finally. I think the reason I was so frustrated about not getting here earlier is because this officially drops me from obese class II to class I. That’s incredibly exciting for me. And I’m sure I’ll still bounce around but this is a tremendous positive move. Thank you all for your support!
6/23 229.0 The low-er carb options seem to be helping - aiming for 35-40% of the day's calories rather than around 50%. Meals for today are planned and logged.

6/16 119.0 GKI 8.1 Bingo last night was fun. Chicken salad and egg salad sliders - I skipped the bread, did eat a tiny bag of potato chips and about 1T of vanilla ice cream. Took my own keto cake and berries for dessert.
6/17 119.5 GKI 7.6 Not sure if it’s the extreme heat or what but I have been craving salt. Not worried.
6/18 118.5 GKI 8.1 OMAD was brisket from Dickey’s. The sign says “NEW OWNER-Better Food” but we don’t agree and won’t be making that 25 mile round trip again.

6/23 120.0 GKI 12.4 I did so well avoiding carbs yesterday until I saw that darn piece of pita in the fridge! 1/4 of pita has a fair amount of carbs and it’s wheat which doesn’t treat me well! Well, today is a new day and I have already assembled a casserole for lun-ner.

6/16: 132.1 - Had my second shingles shot yesterday afternoon and feeling achy and maybe a slight touch of fever last night and this morning. Hopefully it will clear up soon so I can get my workout in today. I think most of the drop is water weight since I had to get up several times in the night.
6/17: 131.8 - Did get a small workout in yesterday, but pretty much sat around all day feeling achy. Ate mostly carbs and fat so surprised at the drop.
6/18: 132.3 - Didn’t get my usual Jazzercise workout in, so went for a 5.5 mile hike instead. Had takeout for the first time in a really, really long time.
6/19: 132.9 - Got my normal workout in and a walk. Dinner was leftover takeout. Sort of busy day at home making 4 boules of different types of sourdough bread and sticky buns for father's day. The sticky buns were okay, but something went wrong along the way and they didn't quite come together as in the past times I've made them.
6/20: 132.7 - 3 sticky buns consumed yesterday. Salad for dinner. Barely, barely stayed under my calories shockingly. Didn’t do my usual Jazzercise workout since my cousin dropped by unexpectedly so we ended up walking on the trail and the neighborhood for a little over 6.5 miles.
6/21: 132.7 - Normal workout yesterday, normal eating, good sleep.
6/22: 132.7 - Got my workouts in early due to the heat.
6/23: 132.9 - Did all my workouts by 9:30 am since it was so hot. The rest of the day was errands and a bit of vegging out. Younger daughter and boyfriend arrived for the weekend so planning meals/food for the next 4 days.

6/23 - 151.7 - Not mad about it. We had homemade chicken curry and I imagine I'm retaining a bit of water from that, per usual. Also possibly some water retention from rehydration. I haven't been as good with water intake the first few days because of the madness of starting a new job and setting up my workstation/desk area. Yesterday I was no more than 10oz shy of my normal 90oz goal. No workout yet, but trying to get my schedule worked out (its flexible. Depending on meetings, I'm only mandated at work between 9-3. From there, I decide how I want to space out the rest of my 9-hour day, whether it be start early, end early or start late, end late). I've been waking up early to take BigBro to work which cuts into me working out unless I go back to waking up at 330-4am to get a workout in before I need to take him. Not happening. Giving myself grace as I work through the transition and get a routine going before I demand anything of myself. Also: BF got the job he wanted!!! Waiting on confirmation of his start date (they requested 7/1 but we anticipate 7/15 or after due to a big project going on in current job 7/1-7/15 and he's the last one who knows how to do the job). Just super happy for him! Glad I took remote job for when he's traveling I can be local for kiddos.

6/17 - Beach Vacation. GodSon's birthday (4 years old!!!)
6/18 - Beach Vacation BF's birthday!!!!
6/19 - Beach Vacation. Happy Father's day to any dads in or associated with this group!
6/20 - I'm not mad at this weight at all! Computer for new job shows it should be arriving today. Supposed to "start" at 830am but not sure how that works until I get my computer. It's 3 packages and 2 show "out for delivery". I'll be okay if one of the packages delayed is a monitor or something, but I don't want to be super far behind without a computer. BF is on vacation today and tomorrow to run errands and such. Get the pup back from the boarding vet today, SD gets to go to class for contacts and if she "passes", BF is ordering her contacts this morning. Not much else going on besides getting back on track with water since I was traveling and didn't want to stop every other exit hahah! Had to take BigBro to work this am to let BF sleep in a bit so no workout. I might try for a walk this evening once it cools down a bit and I have a better idea of work schedule.
6/21 - DNP
6/22 - Computer didn't properly charge Monday night so I didn't get to post. Amazing what not really paying attention to food but getting enough sleep and lessening stress will do for my weight! I'm quite happy. I also finally got to cook dinner for the family for the first time since January because my schedule actually allowed it. Whoot! I'm not a great cook (but I love baking), BF is. But I do want to try and learn. Homemade fajitas with plenty of veggies. SD wants to cook tonight but we shall see what's going on and if she finds anything to cook. Otherwise we will throw something together, I'm sure. Another day of onboarding an in-processing. W2 and W4 tax paperwork as well as payroll stuff to finish up now that I have access to the program (takes a few days to have access). Getting programs downloaded on my computer now as I finally have a moment without onboarding meetings. Also FamWife applied for this! I'm hoping she gets it. I think this will be a really good switch for her. I love the company already.

6/22 - 167.4* - 21,500 / 170. Adding a few more calories (got some cheese puffs that I overheard a WW girl has as her best for her snack) , still working on my June walking challenge goal. SO called to say his part of the job has been cancelled now waiting to hear if that means he's coming home.
6/23 - 167 - 20,900 / 139. Got my 2 walks in, working well towards my 398.1 km goal and the sun is actually shining today!!

Thanks quiltingjaine for another round! This is #2 for me. I’m a 40 year old single mom with sole custody of my two younger children (oldest is grown). I let stress & depression take control of me years ago and when the pandemic hit that surely didn’t help. Once upon a time I was a fitness buff. Now I’m trying to shed my biggest gain ever (more than any pregnancy) and rebuild muscle. Still battling some long CoVID symptoms but determined to get back into shape & do the things I love. Started this journey 4/4/22 at 180lbs.

6/16 - 169.3 (-.7) - Took an easy day yesterday because of the DOM’s. I was under my calories in the evening but noticed I ate past being full. Breaking that no waste habit is hard. Scale didn’t go up this morning so that’s good, might show tomorrow. I owe a friend a celebratory dance & I’m trying to finish work early (self employed) so I can hit the lake this afternoon. 💧 160 oz. (over), 👟10,795 (met), 💪 30 min. light rowing, ⛑ +19 (211).
"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.” - Mahatma Gandhi
6/17 - 169.9 (+.6) - There’s that uptick I was expecting. Got in my water time swimming & kayaking. Easily under my calories and that included beer and a cookie, felt full all day. I still owe that dance. 💧132 oz. (over), 👟10,438 (met), 💪 118 min. continuous paddling ⛑ +29 (215).
“Doing what you love is freedom. Loving what you do is happiness” - Lana Del Ray
6/18 - 170.1 (+.2) - Caught up with some old friends and that put me on a carb high but I made use of the energy and slept like a baby. I’m making some great progress fitness wise & am tempted to hike my first 14-er in nearly 20 years. We’ll see how I train the next 30 days before I attempt it (main concern - CoVID recovering lungs).💧160 oz. (over), 🥗 under, 👟11,032 (met), 💪 80 min. Rowing, strength training, 9 min. Dancing & 15 min. Tai Chi,⛑ +61 (231).

6/19 - 169.5 (-.6) - PTSD triggered again yesterday evening when fireworks startled me while watering the lawn. Needless to say, Mental satiety took priority at that point. Treating my Pops today so it will be challenging stay within my calorie goal. 💧144 oz. (over), 🥗 easily under w/ great macros, 💪 100 min. Rowing + strength training 👟6,462 (under), ⛑ +23 (236).

must keep moving.” - Albert Einstein
6/20 - 169.2 (-.3) - Just about where I was at the start of this challenge but I’m sure weight will rise again. 🥗 over by 313 but I already knew that was going to happen & I’m okay with it. 💧132 oz. (over) 💪 15 min. rowing + half the day putting in a new fence at my parents farm 👟 11,145 (met), ⛑ +37 (251).

6/21 - 169.4 (+.2) - 💧132 oz. (over), 🥗 under, 💪 2.5hrs. Stand up paddle boarding. Would have been more but relentless winds kicked up. 👟 8,837 (shy) maybe I shouldn’t have sat around on the beach so long hoping to get back on the water ⛑ +28 (268).
“Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.” - Napoleon Hill
6/22 - 168.2 (-1.4) - 💧176 oz. (over) 🥗 under, 💪 20 min. Rowing + 30 min. Zumba 👟11,846 ⛑ +32 (282). Got ahead with work so hoping to escape to lake again to continue practicing freestyle SUP tricks.

6/23 - 166.7 (-1.5) - 132 oz. (met), 🥗 under, 💪 35 min. dancing + 90 min. SUP 👟10,203, ⛑ +23 (286) - celebrated several folks progress busting some moves & got in a little bit more lake fun before storm clouds came over the water.

Outstanding @britbuzzard! I need a song to dance in celebration of you. Whatcha got for me?
@wakegrrl you are unstoppable! Congratulations on such an amazing achievement. I’m so grateful to call you friend.
@KayHBE it’s overdue I add you to the list. Awe shucks, thank you. You encourage me to keep my feet moving. What am I gonna get down to tonight to celebrate your treading self?
@IsMollyReallyHungry we often underestimate the power of self care. Great job drawing healthy boundaries as difficult as it was. You are in my thoughts.
Congrats @joans1976, you’ve got this, keep it up!
🤗 @deepwoodslady, I could not hide the ear to ear grin when I saw you danced with your son. you are doing fantastic! Keep taking care of yourself.
I love this entire group! Thank you all for consistently being there & sharing your truth.6 -
Been on MFP before to help maintain weight after a 40 lb loss in 2018/2019. Stopped logging in consistently & have gained 10 lbs back. This is my first time at the 10 day challenge, but it’s great motivation. Small intermediate goals help me to achieve the overall goal without getting overwhelmed. Going on a cruise to Scotland in August so need to release some weight before then.

6/16 159.0 workout – 1 hour cardio/weight training class.
6/17 158.6 workout – 4.25 miles in 64:00 on treadmill @ 3% with 3 lb. weights
6/18 158.6 joined a new workout class – 1 hour boot camp. Trying to drink more water.
6/19 158.2 went over calories yesterday so surprised at the loss. Maybe I used more calories in class yesterday than MFP calculated. Workout – 4.25 miles in 64:00 on treadmill @ 3% incline, plus 2K on the Concept 2 rower.
6/20 158.8 looks like the extra calories from Saturday finally caught up with me. Trying to be very mindful of what I eat today. Rest day from exercise.
6/21 158.2 stayed below calorie goal yesterday. 1 hour cardio/weight training class.
6/22 157.2 signed up to wear a heart rate monitor in the weight class tomorrow to check actual calories burned. 4.25 miles in 64:00 on treadmill @ 3% incline with 3 lb. weights.
6/23 157.2 I hour cardio/weight training class. Heart rate monitor said I burned 569 calories which is much better than the 218 calories calculated by MFP. Planned my remaining meals on the food log & should stay well under my goal calories as long as I don’t eat anything extra.

6/16 / 158.6 / Busy days at work. I got lots of steps as I did a few meetings as walks with my staff. It worked out well.
6/17 / 159 / Got lots done today in work and around the house. Even rode the Peloton before work started. Off to Vegas in the morning.
6/18 / 160.8 / On the plane to Vegas just waiting to take off. It's going to be much warmer than I'm used to! So excited.
6/19 / DNW / Great first full day in Vegas. We have walked so many steps already. I also was able to use the gym at our hotel this morning before we started our day. The food and drinks have been indulgent so I'm glad we're moving a lot at least.
6/20 / DNW / Hoping to hit the gym again today before the day gets going. Plans for a magic show today if we get tickets. Temperature is to continue getting warmer but so far the heat just feels nice although I did get a bit of heat rash on my legs yesterday. It has been good to walk in the evenings - so pleasant out!
6/21 / DNW / Getting double the step counts I'm used to walking around Vegas. I know from tracking that it won't be enough to offset all the calorie consumption. I'm not intentionally going crazy but I also know I'm indulging. I am proud of the fact I've gotten to the gym every morning. Today I did a walk/run Peloton working on a treadmill since that's a piece of equipment I don't have at home.
6/22 / DNW / Started the day with another gym workout - 45 minutes on the exercise bike and 30 on the treadmill. The exercise, while great, will in no way come close to offsetting the indulgent food and drink! Today is our last full day in Vegas... won't be back to my scale until the 24th and with water retention from the plane I won't be surprised if my weight starts with a 17-.
6/23 / DNW / Flying home from Vegas today. Back on the scale tomorrow!

Day/Weight/Comment (previous day steps)
6/16 359.6 5152 – I had an interesting day at work yesterday. Had a splurge meal that was so good. I had it too late in the day, but I enjoyed every bite. Back to business today.

6/22 359.2 3074 – I have been super busy. I was going to move out with my sister. Decided I could not do it! It is best for us both. We have not lived together since childhood, and it just would not work. This was stressing me out and I finally told her I could not do it. Too many red flags. I am going to tell her I will sign for her a place if they let me do it, but I can not move in with her.
6/23 357.8 6320 – Happy dance! Great day yesterday. I ate some veggies today. No intentional exercise. Way off on it these days. Not up to it.

We have the power within us.8
