    I live in SE BC Canada

    This will be my 11th round on this forum out of 13 of them.
    I have gained weight in 4 out of the last 5 100s
    I enjoy being on this journey with y'all. Weight loss requires a lot of work! We are worth it though.
    I aim to have an average of 500 calories in the Green each day, so I track my excess. I get in a good deal of activity and dance workouts. Like, if you had to pick a body type that you wanted to have, you do that sort of activity I think. Dance for me unlocks my creaky joints, lifts my spirits, stretches me out, works all of the muscles and is super fun. I do the 3-4 minute song variety, it keeps me up with what the "kids" are listening to : - )

    1st Week Goal Weight: 137.5
    1st Week Actual Weight: 138.8 Started at 137.7,
    Excess calories burned (in the green): 2548, /4 = 637 average

    2nd Week Goal Weight: 135.9 (ambitious I know, but my trip will be coming up)
    2ndWeek Actual Weight: 139.6
    Excess calories burned (in the green): 2342, burned lots, but ate more. Missed my 500, average = 334.5

    3rd Week Goal Weight: 137 until I hit it
    3rd Week Actual Weight: 140.1

    Day 18 - 09/04 - 140.9 - Well that is not good!
    Day 19 - 09/05 - 141.8 - Not quite believing that, I guess that I don't want to believe it. Sticking with it.
    Day 20 - 09/06 - 139.9 - Anything under 140 is good at this point, although I really wanted to be closer to 135 for my trip. I will be taking my scale with me to weigh on my birthday. Last year on September 20th (my 61st birthday) I was 131.1

    Goal weight this 100: 127.7 - Very unrealistic, especially since I will be in Mexico for a good chunk of September and I am going to eat all of the yummy foods and drink a few Margaritas/Cervezas for sure. The most that I have ever lost in the 100 day challenge was 7 pounds once. In the 7 100s in which I actually lost weight it was more like 2-3 pounds loss over 100 days.

    Day 19-09/05-197.0-(Trend weight 199.2) A good day yesterday except movement was very low level. I was just so exhausted after the wedding. I needed a day of nothingness. Most of the time I keep my home a “safe zone” with the right foods. It’s portion control I have to watch out for. I have been known to binge on “diet food”. The wrong foods are the ones at the restaurants. I don’t do much of that in my city, just when I travel and then, Oh boy, the choices!!!!! I am proud to say I kept it under control (for the most part) at the wedding. That is tough for me to do. I love food that I didn’t have to cook and I love new recipes.

    Day 20-09/06-196.8-(Trend weight 198.9) I just noticed that from (basically) the start of last fall 2021 to the end of the Michigan winter in 2022, I gained 12 pounds! I CANNOT let that happen again! In fact, I am STILL NOT BACK DOWN to where I was on Sept 19 which was 187.6 . 10 more pounds to lose just to break even. How sad. On a good note, I am starting to feel my hip bones sticking out. They are still in there afterall.

    My goal for 2022 is to get into ONEderland and make it stick. Changing my life.

    🔹Drink more water (target min 64-80 oz daily; start with 1 glass before coffee)
    🔹Journal Food Daily (tracking with MFP since 12/28/2018; basically skipped June-Dec 2019; recommit 1/1/2020; skipped out April-July 2020; recommit 8/6/2020)
    🔹Daily Vitamins (Dr’s orders; need to not ignore)
    🔹Drink less alcohol (3 AF days per week; ~12-16 AF days per month; limit 1-2 glasses per day)

    Day 1: Thurs, 8/18: 222.7 Walk 1.5 miles with granddaughter in stroller. DIL & I took turns swimming laps at the pool while the other played with my 7 month old granddaughter who loves the water. Down a little from the highs of our last round. Success especially after book club at a Mexican restaurant last night. The chips & salsa filled me up before the chicken verde enchiladas arrived. The win is that I didn't order any margaritas or wine AND I replaced the rice & beans with a side salad. Another choice I made is when ordering fast food for lunch is I got the grilled chicken sandwich without the bun ... still had the fries which I shared with the baby & dogs and brought out the watermelon from the fridge to round out the meal.

The most that I have ever lost in the 100 day challenge was 7 pounds once. In the 7 100s in which I actually lost weight it was more like 2-3 pounds loss over 100 days.

    Day 20-09/06-196.8-(Trend weight 198.9) I just noticed that from (basically) the start of last fall 2021 to the end of the Michigan winter in 2022, I gained 12 pounds! I CANNOT let that happen again! In fact, I am STILL NOT BACK DOWN to where I was on Sept 19 which was 187.6 . 10 more pounds to lose just to break even. How sad. On a good note, I am starting to feel my hip bones sticking out. They are still in there afterall.

    Day 21-09/07-196.2-(Trend weight 198.7) I almost caved in last night when I started to experience hunger. Then I realized it was not so much hunger as it was boredom. I drank some water and hopped on that new exercise bike and (carefully since I’m not approved yet for exercise), pedaled a bit without letting my heart rate get up very high. Wow, the new bike is really quiet! I can hear the TV! Travel today to eye doctor for son & I. Dinner will be out. I like the way my weight is going down and I can report it in pink or black more consistently. I won’t ruin that today at the restaurant. Friday I go back to see the surgeon which is a longer trip. I may take my friend, her son and my son and make a day of it. Probably a whole new restaurant experience in a new city. THAT is the day I have to be strong. I think I’ll be okay today.

The win is that I didn't order any margaritas or wine AND I replaced the rice & beans with a side salad. Another choice I made is when ordering fast food for lunch is I got the grilled chicken sandwich without the bun ... still had the fries which I shared with the baby & dogs and brought out the watermelon from the fridge to round out the meal.

    I have gained weight in 4 out of the last 5 100s
    I enjoy being on this journey with y'all. Weight loss requires a lot of work! We are worth it though.
    I aim to have an average of 500 calories in the Green each day, so I track my excess. I get in a good deal of activity and dance workouts. Like, if you had to pick a body type that you wanted to have, you do that sort of activity I think. Dance for me unlocks my creaky joints, lifts my spirits, stretches me out, works all of the muscles and is super fun. I do the 3-4 minute song variety, it keeps me up with what the "kids" are listening to : - )

    @dawnbgethealthy I just lost over 7lns in 3 days. My carb intake has been higher than usual and I am not KETO nor really low carb. Bread and crackers, chips really hit me. It's a really good learn. I think in the past this might have thrown me and caused me to give up, now I just know it's how my body works. - @ashleycarole86

    Day 21-09/07-196.2-(Trend weight 198.7) I almost caved in last night when I started to experience hunger. Then I realized it was not so much hunger as it was boredom. I drank some water and hopped on that new exercise bike and (carefully since I’m not approved yet for exercise), pedaled a bit without letting my heart rate get up very high. Wow, the new bike is really quiet! I can hear the TV! Travel today to eye doctor for son & I. Dinner will be out. I like the way my weight is going down and I can report it in pink or black more consistently. I won’t ruin that today at the restaurant. Friday I go back to see the surgeon which is a longer trip. I may take my friend, her son and my son and make a day of it. Probably a whole new restaurant experience in a new city. THAT is the day I have to be strong. I think I’ll be okay today.

    Day 22-09/08-197.6-(Trend weight 198.6) Up from travel and lack of movement. I actually did very well during the travel meal. I even stopped at a roadside park and walked for about 15 minutes on a walking path around a creek after eating very reasonable choices in very nice controlled quantities. However, there is still an awful lot of sitting during a doctor appointment and also in car travel. I also ate 3 meals yesterday instead of two. While reasonable, it still put me over calorie and carb limits. Travel again tomorrow. Much further this time to see the surgeon.
