I am way too creaky and not at all limber if I don't do some sort of Fitness Marshall. Also low on energy, emotions not balanced, mentally not balanced either if I don't have a fun dance. I do 3 different things, I log them all under Fitness Marshal since they are all sort of Zumba-ish, which burns the same calories. My rib cage feels like it sits right on my hip bones unless I do the dancy stuff which lifts it up. (which in turn flattens out the belly) It also gets the TMI moving and out!
I am kind of interested in the water pill thingy. Which doctor prescribed that for you, and is there some reason that you can't eliminate water otherwise?
I truly feel like most of us have water fluctuations.
Such a big drop for you. I know that it doesn't happen very often that you get a full night's sleep, but when you do you always have a drop. This time without a water pill!
Ah, the belly. Well, even skinny Mexicans have big bellies (if they are over the age of 14), but they eat tortillas all day every day. Carb bellies.
And here I have been trying to get more carbs into my diet for the last couple of years. I guess that I shouldn't say carbs, because I generally eat a lot of berries and stuff while at home and they contribute to the pi chart as carbs, it is more like grains that I rarely eat and have been trying to add into my daily. Tortilla chips and fresh guac, rice, and beans have been my staple here, plus a banana most mornings.

Penticton and the whole Okanagan valley are lovely. I might have tried to meet you there if I was in Canada, but I think that is around 7 hours from me, so probably not. I wonder which route you are taking back?2 -

I enjoy being on this journey with y'all. Weight loss requires a lot of work! We are worth it though.
I aim to have an average of 500 calories in the Green each day, so I track my excess. I get in a good deal of activity and dance workouts. Like, if you had to pick a body type that you wanted to have, you do that sort of activity I think. Dance for me unlocks my creaky joints, lifts my spirits, stretches me out, works all of the muscles and is super fun. I do the 3-4 minute song variety, it keeps me up with what the "kids" are listening to : - )

Not sure what I am going to do on my birthday tomorrow, maybe parasailing, snorkeling, paddleboarding. I am on trend to weigh a tiny bit less than my 60th birthday (141.1) but quite a ways off of my last birthday (61, 131.1) I am going to keep it fairly light today foodwise, since it is important to me to know what I weigh each birthday, and I am in a bikini the whole time and don't want a distended belly tomorrow on my big day.

Goal weight this 100: 127.7 - Very unrealistic, especially since I will be in Mexico for a good chunk of September and I am going to eat all of the yummy foods and drink a few Margaritas/Cervezas for sure. The most that I have ever lost in the 100 day challenge was 7 pounds once. In the 7 100s in which I actually lost weight it was more like 2-3 pounds loss over 100 days.3 -

@dawnbgethealthy The waterpill was given by the cardiologist. It appears that my heart is not strong enough to push the water through on it's own. It can get down (with gravity) to my feet and ankles but can't get back up on it's own to (eventually) get to the kidneys where it is filtered out of the blood and sent to the bladder. Without it, congestive heart failure (too much fluid in the lungs) happens also. Weak heart and damage, unfortunately, since the heart attack. There is actually more to it than that involving the ejection fraction etc. but that is basically the jist of it. I can definitely see it in my ankles and feel the tightness when the water builds. I hate that it is so hard to gauge weight. I don't consider my bloated swollen weight my true weight. I do count my emptied weight as true since there is no swelling at the ankles that looks like a pool floatie donut around them. It sucks but it is not going to stop me from progress. I know that the more I am in control of my glucose and my weight overall, the better off EVERYTHING will be.
In regards to carbs, the berries are the way to go! While low in carbs they are still abumdant in fiber and very healthy. If you need more carbs the banana will help. Also, as you know I am sure, whole grains. A piece of toast with breakfast etc. Cucumber sandwich from your garden on whole grain breads. Hey, Look at me giving advice on how to eat fruits and veggies that I won't touch! Anyway, so glad you are enjoying your birthday week. You work so hard at so many physically demanding jobs. You definitely DESERVE the time off!

Day 32-09/18-195.4-(Trend weight 198.6) I had a very good day with diet choices. Worked hard going thru closets and drawers throughout the house (not done yet), but I am still surprised at the drop. No water pill yesterday, no TMI this morning or any other “helpful” things. I think I was very low on water yesterday while I was so busy. Could be a bit of dehydration as it was all coffee and very little water. I guess we shall see. So hungry this morning, typical after a drop. Come to think of it, I did hit 6 hours of sleep last night which is phenomenal for me.
Day 33-09/19-197.8-(Trend weight 198.5) Hmph….Best day in a long time. Dietary was perfect. Added some exercise yesterday including a hike along the river with my son. I didn’t understand the big drop yesterday so I suppose this big increase today is a balancing of the books. I did about half my usual hike. When I got to the biggest hill I had to turn around as my breathing was already labored. But it felt great to get out in the woods and on the trail. I would push water today but when I do it just pools at my ankles and doesn’t help the scale. But it does help with my frequent dehydration so……. Choices, choices.

Hi guys I am new to this! I am 34 5feet 7. Starting on day 33 aka today which will mean it won't be a full 100 days but I am ok with that as I just need to start because Ive been really struggling lately. I've gained a stone since January as I caught covid and stopped running and I really want to get back to running. Too many good food places in London lol. I will be doing keto from tomorrow.

Day 31: Sat, 9/17: Back from vacation and on the mend from Covid. Did not weigh this morning (I’m afraid to… haha). I did not log in while away as there was no Internet on the ship for the first 4 days, and after that it was so spotty I just gave up. ANYWAY, I had a wonderful time and am now back on the wagon trying something new: Instead of a KETO lifestyle (I probably wasn’t doing it right, anyway), I am going to try the whole foods approach and of course, watching my sugar & carb intake… maybe even try being gluten free. I found some good influencers in this realm on YouTube and Instagram. Never giving up. Hope everyone is having a great day!
Day 32: Sun, 9/18: Did not weigh today. Will do it tomorrow for sure. I need to face the damage I’ve done while on vacation, at some point 😊. I feel I ate well yesterday: whole foods, lots of water. No exercise tho. If I test negative today, I’ll hop on the Peloton tomorrow for sure. Keep going!
Day 33: Mon, 9/19: 141.5 – Finally brave enough to myself. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I mean, I wish I was below 140 at this point but I didn’t gain while on vacation so I’ll take it! Tested positive for Covid yesterday, even tho I feel fine. I thought for sure I’d be negative already. Go figure. Ate well yesterday but still no exercise. Maybe later today.3 -

I didn’t understand the big drop yesterday so I suppose this big increase today is a balancing of the books. I did about half my usual hike. When I got to the biggest hill I had to turn around as my breathing was already labored. But it felt great to get out in the woods and on the trail. I would push water today but when I do it just pools at my ankles and doesn’t help the scale. But it does help with my frequent dehydration so……. Choices, choices.
Day 34-09/20-199.0-(Trend weight 198.6) Definitely taking my water pill today. Couldn’t yesterday due to having to run too many errands. Ankles are tight and shiny. Weight is up on the scale. Bad sleep last night, no feeling so hot today. Travel tomorrow to the hospital for some testing. I’ll be getting a Doppler on my legs to check for blockages due to their inability to get a pulse in my left foot and symptoms showing up in my right. I will also be getting another EKG because my breathing has not improved since the stent was placed in my heart. They are doublechecking blood flow before my pulmonary testing in Oct. I am not going to let my health stop me, instead I am letting it motivate me.

I didn’t understand the big drop yesterday so I suppose this big increase today is a balancing of the books. I did about half my usual hike. When I got to the biggest hill I had to turn around as my breathing was already labored. But it felt great to get out in the woods and on the trail. I would push water today but when I do it just pools at my ankles and doesn’t help the scale. But it does help with my frequent dehydration so……. Choices, choices.
Day 34-09/20-199.0-(Trend weight 198.6) Definitely taking my water pill today. Couldn’t yesterday due to having to run too many errands. Ankles are tight and shiny. Weight is up on the scale. Bad sleep last night, not feeling so hot today. Travel tomorrow to the hospital for some testing. I’ll be getting a Doppler on my legs to check for blockages due to their inability to get a pulse in my left foot and symptoms showing up in my right. I will also be getting another EKG because my breathing has not improved since the stent was placed in my heart. They are doublechecking blood flow before my pulmonary testing in Oct. I am not going to let my health stop me, instead I am letting it motivate me.

I enjoy being on this journey with y'all. Weight loss requires a lot of work! We are worth it though.
I aim to have an average of 500 calories in the Green each day, so I track my excess. I get in a good deal of activity and dance workouts. Like, if you had to pick a body type that you wanted to have, you do that sort of activity I think. Dance for me unlocks my creaky joints, lifts my spirits, stretches me out, works all of the muscles and is super fun. I do the 3-4 minute song variety, it keeps me up with what the "kids" are listening to : - )

Not sure what I am going to do on my birthday tomorrow, maybe parasailing, snorkeling, paddleboarding. I am on trend to weigh a tiny bit less than my 60th birthday (141.1) but quite a ways off of my last birthday (61, 131.1) I am going to keep it fairly light today foodwise, since it is important to me to know what I weigh each birthday, and I am in a bikini the whole time and don't want a distended belly tomorrow on my big day.
Day 34 - 09/20 - 139.0 - My bday : - ) Kind of water bloated today for some reason. I am going to eat out, Mexican breakfast at a Fonda I think, and then Mexican lunch or dinner with cocktails on the beach. I am going to otherwise stick close to my home away from home today and do exursions another day during my birthday week, I just don't feel like packing up a bag and the travel to get to any of those things. I am on a perfectly good beach with a Malecon, and an awesome infinity pool here on the property overlooking the ocean to hear the waves as I am lolling in it.

Day 35 - 09/21 - 138.8 - One bout of montezumas revenge (tmi I know) that was feeling just like gas in the morning after huevos mexicana. That is the second time that I have had that meal out, and the onions, beans etc. usually just blow up my belly with gas. I walked quite a bit after breakfast, came back to my room, took a gax-x, did a workout to try to expel it, then just went back out walking around stopping along the way for a Margarita. I was halfway back to my room (many hours later) when I knew to hurry up and get back. Just the one bout, then I was fine, had a homemade margarita, ate carne asada that I had picked up without any further instance. I have been truly careful, not drinking the water and stuff, but maybe the ice in my 1 margarita out in the afternoon was the culprit, or maybe it really was the breakfast. Who knows. It was a great day, went all through the area where locals actually live. Not sure what I will get up to today yet, the sun is up.

@dawnbgethealthy Too slow going on the reno. Lazy people in this slow moving area that I live! I don't want to bore you while you are on vacay. Day 34-09/20-199.0-(Trend weight 198.6) Definitely taking my water pill today. Couldn’t yesterday due to having to run too many errands. Ankles are tight and shiny. Weight is up on the scale. Bad sleep last night, not feeling so hot today. Travel tomorrow to the hospital for some testing. I’ll be getting a Doppler on my legs to check for blockages due to their inability to get a pulse in my left foot and symptoms showing up in my right. I will also be getting another EKG because my breathing has not improved since the stent was placed in my heart. They are doublechecking blood flow before my pulmonary testing in Oct. I am not going to let my health stop me, instead I am letting it motivate me.
Day 35-09/21-198.8-(Trend weight 198.6) Handyman never showed up yesterday so I traveled to pick up our eyeglasses with my son. Lunch out of fried foods at a Dairy Queen style place. I avoided the ice cream. That’s big for me. Travel again today for the medical tests. I don’t think I’ll ever get to take that water pill. Ankles tighter and shinier. Anyway, I’ve discovered Poshmark! What a motivator!
