The Effects of Body Recomp

So back in 2013, I was 264lbs and looked extremely bloated all the time etc.

Today, after losing 89lbs, I am now also 264lbs. Here are the comparison pictures at the exact same weight:

(Just for those doing the math, I put on a LOT of weight during the lockdowns)

After the first picture was taken, I did a big weight loss and lost 75lbs, doing a lot of weight lifting and other exercises in that time. As a result, my body composition changed, so even when I put on another 90lbs on top of my previous heaviest weight, I was still wearing the same size clothes.

Today I've just got back to that same starting weight, and as you can see I'm looking completely different.

I guess the point of all this is: don't overlook the value of doing weights/bodyweight exercises during your journey. Your body will change for the better, even if you end up putting weight back on.

    Wow, amazing!

My partner has the same stats as Rob Gronkowski from when he was playing for the NE Patriots. As one was an elite professional athlete and one was not, they did have very different body compositions.
