Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

09/01-198.8-(Trend Weight 199.8)- A nice little drop without the water pill. I think it was from calorie burn. Had a problem with the garage freezer yesterday evening and I lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. I think it was related to when they were working on the electricity and I was unaware of the issue. Defrosted and re-organized now and I think all is well but keeping an open eye. Lots of mopping during defrosting. I burned a ton of calories and I did manage to save a lot of the food. Now, Dear God, just one question……can my trials stop already? I’m planning a good healthy eating day and waiting for my new exercise bike to arrive. I’ll be ready when I get the okay. Good luck my friends in this end of summer round. Let’s enjoy the weather and make everyday possible count!

Oh Donna, I'm so sorry to hear about your freezer issue. I know the feeling, I've been through it and have helped my mom with freezer clean-up multiple times. I love your attitude though, you just keep on keeping on. Hugs to you!

Health challenges: breast cancer in 2016, full hysterectomy 2021, multiple leg/foot breaks (2015, 2018, 2022).

9/1/22 - 202.6 I can't wait to get this stupid boot off, but my husband is already reminding me to ease into exercise so I don't reinjure myself. Had a dexa/bone scan this morning to see if I'm dealing with osteoporosis. It's a possibility since I was on an estrogen blocking med for 5 years after the breast cancer, and I now have a history of fractures that take twice as long to heal as they should. Will be interesting to get results from that test.

    Hi everyone.
I am Dawn, I will be 62 in a few weeks.
I joined MFP in October of 2018. I have lost weight for sure, but still have another 20-ish pounds to shed. It is slow going and sometimes very frustrating. I lost weight before, quit tracking every bite and gained 50 pounds, so I have pledged to myself to keep this tracking up forever. MFP makes that extremely easy.
As my moniker would suggest, at this stage of my life it is all about getting healthy so that I can be active throughout my 60s and hopefully 70s. This means to me achieving a healthy body weight so that my organs and stuff are not overworked.

I think most of us have been up and down and all around. Key here is to rock it at any and every weight : - )

I use a BMI calculator, this one lets me calculate ideal weight for my age and height, BMI, BMR, etc:
    https://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=62&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=2&cheightmeter=180&printit=0&x=52&y=23

Thursday September 1st: 138.2 (I am using my endweight from August). This month will see me in Mexico, where I absolutely love the foods, especially the breakfasts. My usually eating style will turn upside down. I am going to pack my scale with me to keep me from exploding : - )
Friday September 2nd - 139.8 - Ugh. I was at 1200 calories with lots of calorie burn, so am just going to take this in stride as some weird sort of fluctuation.

09/02-198.8-(Trend Weight 199.7)- I made good choices yesterday but the quantities were a bit high. I am glad to see my weight stayed stable, my fat percentage went down and my trend weight continues to go down. Tomorrow is my daughter’s wedding. Hopefully even without that incentive to lose weight, I will still stay on track. My blood pressure continues to be too low and my glucose numbers are through the roof, even with the correct diet. And that is what is so concerning, when I know I have eaten all the “right” foods and my glucose numbers are not responding. The Endocrinologist is probably correct when he says I have become insulin resistant which means I will not respond to the normal oral medications for diabetes anymore. However, I don’t like him and I’m looking for another. So far, no other office within 2 hours of my house. I swear this doctor is at least 110 years old, practically needed help getting into the room, was a grouchy old man and won’t be around much longer anyway. Just being honest……
Okay, I’m off to paint my nails with French manicure. Wish me luck that I can finish them and get them dry before DGS needs too much.

@dawnbgethealthy Thanks for the link to the calculators. I have been navigating this a bit this morning and will revisit it later. A wealth of information! Did you see the information on the zig-zag diet options under the Calorie calculator? I know you often plateau and this could be helpful.

Saturday September 3rd - 140.1 - I had 4 wings last night (300 calories, but likely full of salt) after working a split with my other job in between. I had a whopping 22,218 steps on my pedometre at the end of the night! That worked out to a 917 calorie burn at my current weight. I had a workout in the morning before work also. Hating seeing the 140s yet again, but I dreamt of hitting 140, and achieved that in 2020 so trying to keep it in perspective, as opposed to knowing that 2 years of very hard work have seen me right back there again whilst hitting 130.6 in 2021. Not giving up, well maybe a little bit while in Mexico : - )

    Hello again, everyone!!

    My name is Ana.
I've struggled most of my life with almost always feeling very fat. There are pictures that prove me right, but also others that prove me wrong.
2009 was the year in which I felt better about my physical appearance but in 2011, after my husband passed away I reached my highest weight (180 lbs). By 2018 I had worked my way to 140lbs and maintained it for 2 years. I was feeling very good even though I still had to battle with negative thoughts and avoided looking at myself in the mirror. Last year I learned that the pandemic and depression related to my father's death brought me back up to 156.4 lbs.
I gave myself a year to work on my health and even though I am not where I hoped to be, I am satisfied with my efforts. Until March of 2023, I will work on maintaining a fitness schedule and on relating to food in different ways... I want to eat to live instead of live for eating. I also want to work on understanding that weight fluctuates and not panic every time.
    Wish me luck!

09/03: 133.2 (-2.6) The last week of August I didn't post, but my weight was 135.8. I freaked out a little, but I have continued my usual exercising and eating patterns and I seem to be coming back.
Similarly to this summer, I have very few clothes that fit (or that I can make fit) so I had to go shopping. I didn't want to spend the money because in the back of my head is the "what if" but I decided to be brave and invest in a good number of good quality clothes in hopes that I'll be encouraged to keep it up.
I really believe things are going to look even better when I can stop taking the medication that makes me constipated. I guess that's another reason to look forward to it!
As for this month, I have 2 weeks off, which it usually means I really have to make sure I maintain my morning routine as best as I can and I will try to not overeat because I want to fit in my new pretty clothes!

    Sending love to everyone

@dawnbgethealthy, I envy you!! Last year I went on vacation back home to México for 2 weeks. I missed the food so much that even though I was at the start of my year of health I ate everything my heart desired and although I tried to limit my portions, I didn't always succeed. Contrary to what most people think, most of Mexican food can be quite healthy, except sometimes is salty. 2 weeks after my trip I had lost 4lbs so I say enjoy you trip.
Also, keep investigating the ZigZag diet. It has worked for me.

    Send us pics from 🇲🇽!
