My name is Donna. I am 62 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5β 5β tall.
Start Weight (from Sept 30, 2022 ): 198.4
Goal Weight: (5 pound loss) 193.4
End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (Iβll know it when I get there!)
Weight in blue makes me blue because itβs a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because itβs a loss. Weight in black means no change.
10/01-198.6-(Trend Weight: 198.8)- Normal overnight fluctuation due to no TMI. Good luck everyone this month. Letβs not let that Halloween candy sneak up on us.
10/04-200.2-(Trend Weight: 198.8)- The travel is squashing my dreams!
10/11-198.6-(Trend Weight: 199.5)- OMGosh. My handyman quit on me and I have no idea why. We never had a quarrel or anything. No disputes. He didnβt even tell me, he just blocked my number and now Iβve noticed that his tools are gone. He hasnβt shown up this week or past weekend. I am out of options in this rural area and I still have a torn apart kitchen I can hardly use. So little skilled labor in this area, I just donβt know what Iβm going to do now. Pray for me please and send every good vibe you can. I need help! On the weight loss front, I am glad to see the scale back down to what I was on Oct 1st, but I have 3 separate days of travel this week and that never helps. Trying to stay hopeful on all counts but itβs so hard. Iβll try not to lean on food, I know it doesnβt fix anything.
10/18-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
10/25-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
10/31-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Hi Y'all!
I just joined MYFitnessPal about 10 minutes ago.
I absolutely LOVE challenges even though I don't always succeed in doing them every single day. That's why when I saw this group I knew it was where I wanted to "land."
I won't begin in earnest until October 15th because I need to get meal and fitness plans laid out, set my goals, and create a list of weekly or monthly challenges I can rotate through during my weight loss journey. I'm in my 60s have some health challenges, but who doesn't at this age? Even so, I commit to doing my best.
I look forward to making friends here.
To each one of you I wish the very best life can bring.
-HFG
P. S. Is there a way to "subscribe" to this group so it is easy to find?5 -
- Oops. Got my initials backwards.

At the top of the group on the right hand side there is a little flag. Click that and you will have it bookmarked and when there are posts it will show up in your notifications.

This week has been a good maintenance week really. Next week may be a bit more challenging, with lots of fun food plans, like Boba and afternoon tea.
Iβve been thinking, maybe I should aim for loss and maintenance weeks. Iβm just trying to coax my weight down a bit, just because I like my body that way, now that Iβm a βhealthyβ weight. Plus it might be better practice for actual maintenance.9 -

Super happy to be averaging a kilo each week at the moment- Iβve had a great week of eating but have plans today which will likely change that.
Well done everyone staying motivated through October! xx9 -

Week 1 note: This week has been really good for me. Having this challenge in the back of my mind Iβve had to force myself out of my comfort zone. By doing that, Iβm feeling more motivated and determined this week.
Iβve done three one-hour HIIT workouts since the initial weigh-in. Finding back to my energy and my motivation to eat more protein. If I have periods of little to no training, I find it so difficult to force huge amounts of protein in π
In my opinion, I find it so much easier to avoid binging or snacking when Iβm eating big amounts of protein too, there just ainβt enough room for it.
Week 2 note: Riding on a wave of motivation right now, which feels so great! Did 4 HIIT workouts during week 2 and I have consistently stayed within my calorie goal.
My focus for the week ahead is to incorporate more daily life activity outside of workouts. I have a sedetary job and donβt really do anything outside my planned workouts.
The focus will be to go for atleast a couple of walks during the week and get up every hour and do a little walk around to get the blood flowing.
