My nephew suggested that MyFitnessPal lose weight and tighten my physique. My current routine is yoga or P90x a few days out of the week. My goal is to lose 30 lbs by Jan 2023.

    Are you planning to lose 30 pou sunds in roughly 2 months? Especially if that's you in your profile photo, that might be an aggressive goal, with some increased health risks.

    Fifteen pounds a month is going to require burning about 1875 more calories than you eat, every day, through some combination of reduced eating and increased activity. A lot of men burn something in the range of 2000-3000 or so calories daily, so you'd need to eat . . . well, not very much. Not enough to assure reasonable good health.

    Why the end date? Losing unwanted/unneeded weight is a great thing, but 0.5% or less of current weight weekly is a reasonable goal for someone who's not significantly obese.
