I spoke to my colleague who has lost 30 pounds in the last few months. First, she did a five day juice cleanse to jump start and then followed the Whole 30. I'm really proud of her!!

I have tried twice now to sign up for a weight loss program (they even send you scale) through my script insurance company. My friend told me about it; and it's free. You weight yourself every day on this program. And they have a good app for tracking. I like the whole idea because i like new things and challenges.

@RubyRed427 I signed up for something like that a few months ago. My health insurance company sent me an email offering the free scale and app so I signed up. They sent the scale and I installed the app but I didn't like the app so I deleted it. The scale sits in my closet. I can't remember what it was called.

I joined WW a few weeks ago, hoping to shake things up a bit and that it would encourage me to eat more veggies and drink more water. At the time they gave you an extra point for every cup of non-starchy veggies you ate and another point if you drank at least 64 oz of water a day. 2 days after I joined they changed the plan and took those extra points away, along with a bunch of zero point foods like potatoes and whole wheat pasta. I've been using the WW app, along with MFP, to track every day for the past 3 weeks and I can say that WW is nothing like I remember it to be many years ago, when I used it to lose over 90 lbs. Basically, if I don't stick to fruit, non-starchy veggies, beans, and chicken or turkey breast and fish I run out of points very quickly. I think I really need more flexibility since I am going to be tracking for the rest of my life. I joined for 6 months so I can't cancel it until then I think I'm just going to stick with using MFP since it has worked well for me so far.

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

    Nov Actual: 196.2
Nov Goal: (5 pound loss) 192.8

Cumulative Weight Loss so Far: 1.6 lbs. LOST

12/01-198.4-(Trend Weight: 197.8)- Starting the month on a bloat day and after travel. The cardiology appt went very well. I don’t have to go back for 6 months. The goal now is to do the cardiac rehab for 12 weeks, twice per week. Also, to work on lowering my cholesterol. Of course, losing weight always helps so the journey continues for a healthier lifestyle and a healthier heart.

12/05-197.8-(Trend Weight: 197.7)- It seems like I hover around the same pound or two for months, then finally see a nice little drop. My last substantial drop was when I dipped into Onederland. Now I seem to be staying there no matter what (yay) but not really making any lasting further progress again. Looking for my next real drop or whoosh. They need to come faster!

total loss so far: 5.6 lbs.

Goal for Jan 1: 159 lbs. So another 5.4 to go. Hmmm. This may be tough with Christmas etc. but I will try.
I've been getting 7 to 10K steps in daily. I am not eating enough vegetables nor fruit but still staying alcohol free as is my goal for December and that helps immensely to avoid empty calories.
