    I'm just trying to maintain my weight for now.

    After losing 12 lbs. I was stuck at 174lbs. for a couple weeks until I found this challenge.

        Had plenty of temptation for dinner since husband wanted Chili’s and then I topped it off with ice cream for dessert, only positive was that I was conscientious while eating dinner and only ate half of my meal
        I believe I didn’t do so well because I didn’t log my food, and I didn’t log my food because my lunch was too difficult to figure. I let myself slide for the rest of the day after that. weight.png

        ~ My dad made his famous hamburgers and loaded potato salad and there were a few things that sabotaged my eating and my weight last night.
        ~ I didn’t log anything;
        ~ I didn’t drink half the water I usually drink;
        ~ I went a little crazy with snacking later at night all by myself. I think I was doing a little emotional eating and covered up some sadness that I didn’t and don’t want(or know how) to deal with right now. BUT: Today will be a better day!

      Ok, I hit half my goals yesterday. Better than nuttin’! I’m off to a women’s holiday art fair this morning. It’s always a fun event with lots of beautiful things, and I always run into lots of friends there. I’m hoping to find something for a hard-to-buy-for friend — wish me luck!

      We ordered out for lunch and it was salty. I drank lots of water, but still feel puffy, so am pushing extra water today. It’s very cold out —19F, feels like 9 — so I’m pretty much hunkered down. I had a great time at the art fair yesterday and came home with a few things, including a lovely ceramic serving plate for my hard-to-buy-for friend. Whew! As always, I ran into lots of friends there.

      Yes! This may be exaggerated as yesterday I had no lunch and vegetarian chili for dinner, so calories were very low, but I’ll take it!

      That’s more realistic than yesterday’s weight, but still the right direction. I managed not to snack last night — yay! DH wants Welsh rarebit (calories & cheesy fat!) for dinner, so I’m going very low the rest of the day. I do love the sharp cheddar in the rarebit!

      Very happy with this, since I did indulge in a bit of comfort food last night. It’s ok, today is planned, and I started with one of my fav breakfasts—1 egg over easy on a dry slice of Dave’s Killer Bread Good Seed Thin. Yummy, healthy, and hold me for hours. I’m picking up carry out Panera (half salad for me) for lunch at a friend’s house.

      Had some peppermint candies at my friend’s house and went a bit over calories. Not too bad, though. Back on track today as I don’t plan to go anywhere and I have lots to do to keep me busy. 😁

      It’s a gloomy, cold, gray day outside, but I have my music cranked up and lots of catch-up jobs to do — wind yarn (I’ve bought so much yarn this fall! Eeek!), start a new pet portrait (I’m reviving my portrait business on a limited basis and have 3 commissions, so better get busy!), finish knitting a gift for a friend, and clean up and fill up this new-to-us cabinet I found at a local resale store. Our kitchen is small with very limited storage, and the other cabinet is full, so this will help. Plus I love the style. Better yet, it doesn’t need any work other than cleaning. Yay! So I hope I’ll be busy enough not to snack. 😁

      It’s soup day! This will be the 48th different soup this year, my Sunday soup project started the first Sunday of 2022. It’s been fun! Now to figure out what I’m making today…. And whether to try to catch up — I missed two weeks during the year. I put the leftovers in a silicone muffin pan and freeze, pop them into freezer bags, and then microwave 2-3 for quick lunches. Love it!

      I am about 8 kg along the way to lose 32 kg. I use multiple tape measurements (cm) around my body because they aren't affected by salt intake. Apparently I've been trying to lose weight since September 2012, the last time I was at goal weight. Let's see if stopping eating sugary food is going to change things.
