@deepwoodslady We have encountered that same negativity recently and my husband told someone that they sounded as if they didn’t want to work with him/us. I think some people just don’t want to be bothered with WORKING for their paycheck they just want the money.

@CamandJarvis I hope you are feeling “up to snuff” soon!!

@SheilaBoneham Your paintings/drawings are amazing! Beautiful work!

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.

People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for over 5 years with amazing results!

    SW: 123.5 AW 125.0
12/3 123.5 DH took neighbor to a local bakery yesterday and came home with a loaf of sourdough and 2 enormous pastries! URGGGGG
12/4 124.0 I have no WON’T POWER!! As in I WON’T eat that huge pastry. Had small Greek salad with steak. Ate 3 pieces of steak and saved 3 for today. Making a rotisserie chicken this afternoon.
12/5 124.5 Getting frustrated with trying to get the Fitbit app on my iPad. I’m walking ore steps than usual-almost 3 times what I was doing. Probably not drinking enough water. DH has surgery tomorrow so I may be late checking in or forget entirely.🤷‍♀️
12/6 127.0!!!! We arrived at the surgical center at 5:11AM UGH I had a Margarita yesterday and enjoyed all of the salt! I’m tired, have to catch up tomorrow-reading from top of page 4.
12/7 126.5 yesterday I found myself waiting to hear my husband come in and say I’m home and then I realized he’s not home. He’s at the hospital until sometime today. I’m waiting to hear from him so I can pick him up. There must be something going on at the surgical center, because they had him use the antiseptic wash and wipes the night before surgery and did wipes again yesterday at the hospital and they put him on an antibiotic after the surgery, which they didn’t do before. Trying to get my head together doing a 25 day tracking challenge on Senza. I’ve been way over on carbs and calories so the gain is expected but doesn’t make me happy.
12/8 125.5 Yesterday was a good day dietarily. I know I haven’t been drinking enough water since it cooled off here so made a conscious effort to get more. DH is home and in much better shape than last time. He can speak in intelligible sentences. Only taking naproxen for pain.
12/9 125.0 Awake since 3:30, can’t turn my brain off.
12/10 125.0 DH decided to break his own rule about not leaving the house until his follow up next week because he wanted In-N-Out. I ate some of his fries but had my burger in a lettuce wrap.(“protein style, no spread”)
12/11 124.5 DD#2 and DSIL stopped by for a short visit yesterday afternoon. Slept until 4:50 after going to bed at 9:45 last night. According to Fitbit, no REM x 3 nights.
12/12 124.5 Great Greek yesterday so I’m good with this.

Again, my apologies for neglecting to post the next round.

    Day/Weight/Comment
12/3: 133.2 - Got a good workout in yesterday. Calories were carb and fat dense as I was trying to use up some heavy whipping cream that I had bought for Thanksgiving. Made the NYTimes creamy cauliflower pasta recipe - delicious but definitely calorie- and fat-laden.
12/4: 132.9 - I had a good workout yesterday, but then mostly sedentary the rest of the day. Good eating within calories and with macros as well.
    12/5: 133.4 - Mini-binge last night.
12/6: 133.8 - Headed in the wrong direction weight-wise, but doing my workouts and tracking my food
    12/7: 133.8 -
    12/8: 132.5 - No evening snacking.
12/9: 132.7 - 2nd day of no evening snacking. Got my workouts in as well as good eating.
12/10: 133.4 - Maybe high sodium or carbs? Had a good workout and ate almost all my exercise calories back. Great sleep.
    12/11: 133.6 - Workout and leftovers.
    12/12: 134.0 -

Total round weight loss/gain to date from EO last round: + 0.8 pounds

*MiniGoal: In the 160’s It was way too difficult to meet my mini goal
      • Mon 12/12🔴177.6; +4.4lbs
~ Time to tighten up.. literally
      • Sun 12/11: N/A
        ~ Still not doing good
      • Sat 12/10: N/A
        ~ Just bad bad bad
      • Fri 12/09: N/A
~ My brothers 30th birthday party was tonight.. didn’t do too terribly
      • Thurs 12/08🔴173.2; -2.2lbs
~ Good day. Hubby made pork tenderloin while I worked. I made brussel sprouts and bacon on the side, while he made his carb-y sides. Pretty good meal overall and have prepared the rest for lunch tomorrow. Only ate when I was hungry
        s-weight.png
      • Wed 12/07🔴175.4; +2.4lbs
^ I’m sure this is all water weight
Had plenty of temptation for dinner since husband wanted Chili’s and then I topped it off with ice cream for dessert, only positive was that I was conscientious while eating dinner and only ate half of my meal
I believe I didn’t do so well because I didn’t log my food, and I didn’t log my food because my lunch was too difficult to figure. I let myself slide for the rest of the day after that. weight.png
      • Tues 12/06🔴173; -.6lbs
~ Made leftover cabbage, chicken thighs and cauliflower rice into a stir fry.. added some soy and sesame, canned mushroom and an egg. It was really tasty! Trying out a new Ticker this week (Thank you to whomever I stole this idea from🤗) weight.png
      • Mon 12/05🔴173.6; -1.4lbs
~ So much better today! Mondays are always bring such smooth sailing, when it comes to eating weight.png
      • Sun 12/04🔴175; +2lbs
~ Not emotional eating this time. But I did eat when I wasn’t hungry and played a mental game of “Eat this/that because tomorrow (Monday) I won’t be able to” Not sure what my actual weight was last night but I’m guessing it went up a pound or two; Also, I felt really sick after my binge last night (documenting so I stay present and accountable)..needless to say I’m not happy with that[/quote]
      • Sat 12/03🔴173; +2.4lbs
~ My dad made his famous hamburgers and loaded potato salad and there were a few things that sabotaged my eating and my weight last night.
        ~ I didn’t log anything;
        ~ I didn’t drink half the water I usually drink;
~ I went a little crazy with snacking later at night all by myself. I think I was doing a little emotional eating and covered up some sadness that I didn’t and don’t want(or know how) to deal with right now. BUT: Today will be a better day!
      • SW: 170.6
~ Fought off my hungry alter ego monster for the last 10 days. Hopefully I won’t have too many more plans during this next round! Remember: don’t stop reading affirmations and meditating.
        ~ Ready as I’ll ever be!!💪

      Day/Weight/Comment

      12/03 - 178.4 🥤🧘🏻‍♀️
Ok, I hit half my goals yesterday. Better than nuttin’! I’m off to a women’s holiday art fair this morning. It’s always a fun event with lots of beautiful things, and I always run into lots of friends there. I’m hoping to find something for a hard-to-buy-for friend — wish me luck!

      12/04 - 178.6 🥤🧘🏻‍♀️
We ordered out for lunch and it was salty. I drank lots of water, but still feel puffy, so am pushing extra water today. It’s very cold out —19F, feels like 9 — so I’m pretty much hunkered down. I had a great time at the art fair yesterday and came home with a few things, including a lovely ceramic serving plate for my hard-to-buy-for friend. Whew! As always, I ran into lots of friends there.

      12/05 - 177.8 🥙🥤
Ok, movement in the right direction.

      12/06 - 176.8 🥙🥤🧘🏻‍♀️
Yes! This may be exaggerated as yesterday I had no lunch and vegetarian chili for dinner, so calories were very low, but I’ll take it!

      12/07 - 177.6 🥙🥤⏰🧘🏻‍♀️
That’s more realistic than yesterday’s weight, but still the right direction. I managed not to snack last night — yay! DH wants Welsh rarebit (calories & cheesy fat!) for dinner, so I’m going very low the rest of the day. I do love the sharp cheddar in the rarebit!

      12/08 - 177.2 🥤
Very happy with this, since I did indulge in a bit of comfort food last night. It’s ok, today is planned, and I started with one of my fav breakfasts—1 egg over easy on a dry slice of Dave’s Killer Bread Good Seed Thin. Yummy, healthy, and hold me for hours. I’m picking up carry out Panera (half salad for me) for lunch at a friend’s house.

      12/09 - 177.4 🥤🧘🏻‍♀️
Had some peppermint candies at my friend’s house and went a bit over calories. Not too bad, though. Back on track today as I don’t plan to go anywhere and I have lots to do to keep me busy. 😁

      12/10 - 177.4 🥤
It’s a gloomy, cold, gray day outside, but I have my music cranked up and lots of catch-up jobs to do — wind yarn (I’ve bought so much yarn this fall! Eeek!), start a new pet portrait (I’m reviving my portrait business on a limited basis and have 3 commissions, so better get busy!), finish knitting a gift for a friend, and clean up and fill up this new-to-us cabinet I found at a local resale store. Our kitchen is small with very limited storage, and the other cabinet is full, so this will help. Plus I love the style. Better yet, it doesn’t need any work other than cleaning. Yay! So I hope I’ll be busy enough not to snack. 😁

      12/11 - 177.4 🥙🥤⏰
It’s soup day! This will be the 48th different soup this year, my Sunday soup project started the first Sunday of 2022. It’s been fun! Now to figure out what I’m making today…. And whether to try to catch up — I missed two weeks during the year. I put the leftovers in a silicone muffin pan and freeze, pop them into freezer bags, and then microwave 2-3 for quick lunches. Love it!

      12/12 - 177.4 🥤
Ok, not too great, not too bad. See you next round!

I am about 8 kg along the way to lose 32 kg. I use multiple tape measurements (cm) around my body because they aren't affected by salt intake. Apparently I've been trying to lose weight since September 2012, the last time I was at goal weight. Let's see if stopping eating sugary food is going to change things.

      Heaviest ever 1st Jan 2021, goal+31.8 kg

Here are my measurements, bolded numbers are for comparison for next round
