64 yr young F, 5ft 4 Round 207 (my 139th). As always, thank you. @QuiltingJaine.
Goal for this round, same as last, is to lose a pound.. No binges, keep within calories & macros.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. Healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

12/3 136 – 4.03 miles walked.
12/4 136 – 3.36 miles walked around an advent trail with DGC, the very slow steps holding 18 month old hand whilst she walked didn't actually count the steps, but at that pace I'm barely burning any calories anyway & the experience & delight was much more enriching !!!
12/5 135.4 – back to end of last round weight. 14.68 miles walked, it was cold: 4 degrees C, but brisk walking kept us just about ok !!
12/6 135.4 – 9.62 miles walked.

Not sleeping as my mind is racing worrying about how I can move the 5 foot-high dollhouse I made, to my great-granddaughter's house 5 hours away, with out destroying the electric wiring and miniature details. I will be glad when it has moved and I can sleep again or worry about how I can save the world from wars, floods and pestilence.

So, you can read yesterday's with today's post. Have a good day everyone!7 -

Regarding my goal to stop my after-dinner snacking, I read that it takes 66 days to incorporate a new habit, so now I have 3 down and 63 to go! We're celebrating DH's birthday today and I will be drinking wine tonight with dinner. My goal is to continue to skip the after dinner snacking. I will be mindful that it will be harder due to the alcohol.

Can you tell us how this goes for you? I have a very hard time with it… especially if I add alcohol to the mix. My brothers 30th is coming up on Saturday and I really don’t want to wash away all my progress with one night! We’re definitely going to have fun but there will be a Shot-Ski!! 😬 << so worried about all the food temptation that will be around me

12/03 - 178.4 🥤🧘🏻♀️
Ok, I hit half my goals yesterday. Better than nuttin’! I’m off to a women’s holiday art fair this morning. It’s always a fun event with lots of beautiful things, and I always run into lots of friends there. I’m hoping to find something for a hard-to-buy-for friend — wish me luck!
12/04 - 178.6 🥤🧘🏻♀️
We ordered out for lunch and it was salty. I drank lots of water, but still feel puffy, so am pushing extra water today. It’s very cold out —19F, feels like 9 — so I’m pretty much hunkered down. I had a great time at the art fair yesterday and came home with a few things, including a lovely ceramic serving plate for my hard-to-buy-for friend. Whew! As always, I ran into lots of friends there.
12/05 - 177.8 🥙🥤
Ok, movement in the right direction.
12/06 - 176.8 🥙🥤🧘🏻♀️
Yes! This may be exaggerated as yesterday I had no lunch and vegetarian chili for dinner, so calories were very low, but I’ll take it!
12/07 - 177.6 🥙🥤⏰🧘🏻♀️
That’s more realistic than yesterday’s weight, but still the right direction. I managed not to snack last night — yay! DH wants Welsh rarebit (calories & cheesy fat!) for dinner, so I’m going very low the rest of the day. I do love the sharp cheddar in the rarebit!

Day/Weight/Comment
12/3 - 121.2! Surprised to see a loss today after overindulging last night, but it may still catch up with me. We have more holiday festivities today but I’m going to be more cognizant of what I’m putting in my body. Hoping to get some sort of workout in this morning. I have a cleaner coming later this morning to help me clean up part of the basement. It’s generally the cat’s side of the basement but I’m going to also make it my home gym space. I have the Peloton treadmill arriving Wednesday so I will end up putting my bike and treadmill and eventually my weights there. I’m excited to have my own little space but embarrassed by the amount of cat vomit I’ve let linger down there 😳 Hopefully spending time there will make me more proactive about cleaning up. It’s so easy to ignore when just passing through.
12/4 - 121.8
12/5 - 123.4 - Whoops, overdid it during the weekend per usual. Hopefully some of this is water. It's nice to be at a point where bad choices don't put me above 125, though! I like those weird little milestones.
12/6 - 122.2. Had a very well-behaved day yesterday and plan to stay the course today, so hopefully I can get back down to Saturday's weight soon. I lifted and walked yesterday. I'm hoping to find time for a Peloton ride today.
12/7 - 121.6. Yesterday was pretty good. I didn't get all the exercise I wanted to but I did a 30-minute Peloton ride. Today is primarily strength training, BUT my Peloton Treadmill is arriving at some point today so I may need to take it for a spin I got my little workout corner of the basement set up and the bike moved over, away from the wood stove and into the cold. Next I need to get a weight rack for our dumbbells!

12/3 123.5 DH took neighbor to a local bakery yesterday and came home with a loaf of sourdough and 2 enormous pastries! URGGGGG
12/4 124.0 I have no WON’T POWER!! As in I WON’T eat that huge pastry. Had small Greek salad with steak. Ate 3 pieces of steak and saved 3 for today. Making a rotisserie chicken this afternoon.
12/5 124.5 Getting frustrated with trying to get the Fitbit app on my iPad. I’m walking ore steps than usual-almost 3 times what I was doing. Probably not drinking enough water. DH has surgery tomorrow so I may be late checking in or forget entirely.🤷♀️
12/6 127.0!!!! We arrived at the surgical center at 5:11AM UGH I had a Margarita yesterday and enjoyed all of the salt! I’m tired, have to catch up tomorrow-reading from top of page 4.
12/7 126.5 yesterday I found myself waiting to hear my husband come in and say I’m home and then I realized he’s not home. He’s at the hospital until sometime today. I’m waiting to hear from him so I can pick him up. There must be something going on at the surgical center, because they had him use the antiseptic wash and wipes the night before surgery and did wipes again yesterday at the hospital and they put him on an anabiotic after the surgery, which they didn’t do before. Trying to get my head together doing a 25 day tracking challenge on Senza. I’ve been way over on carbs and calories so the gain is expected but doesn’t make me happy.6 -

I saw this quote on the bottom of another member's post (@deepwoodslady) and LOVED IT! What a great way to see how far you have come and where you're goal is! I copied/pasted it for me below so I can also keep track! I love the quote she added to it as well:
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again! 230’s; 220's; 210's; 200's; 190's; 180’s; 170's; 160's; 150’s
@MLML1984 The quote was mine, but the rest I got from someone else who has been kind enough to share with all of us. I love it too. I'm looking forward to marking off my next decade but I have a ways to go to get there! Good luck to both of us and welcome to the challenge!3 -

12/06 -199.6- (Trend weight 197.9) I just couldn’t get full yesterday. I ate 5 small meals plus 2 snacks and I truly did not even realize it. I should have been logging! Anyway, I was shocked when I stepped on the scale until I realized that it was also an expected bloat day. Today is a pill day so that, along with careful meal planning, should allow a better scale result tomorrow. I must stay strong!
12/07 -198.0- (Trend weight 197.9) Always honest….always with accountability….. Yesterday was much better but still not perfect. Now that the reno is mainly done, I don’t have people here everyday, and I’m fully decorated for Christmas, I think maybe boredom has set in? Especially in the evening when all my household work is all done. I think I need to start a new book or something. NOT SNACK. No bloat today, good TMI and good meal choices helped facilitate this drop. But my habits need to go back to very good, not just good. Good is not good enough when I still have 50 pounds to lose! Travel tomorrow and Friday. Thur = more dental. Fri = Cardiac Rehab Orientation and exercise testing to see my current level. These are in two different cities in opposite directions. I plan on being mindful but we all know how me and big town restaurants go. I'm going to work on my attitude today. First thought for Friday during rehab.....I'll be going twice a week for about 3 months. I don't need to eat all the food up in one visit. I've got plenty of time to s..p..r..e..a..d i..t o..u..t. Be smart about it Donna!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

Day/Weight/Comment
12/3: 133.2 - Got a good workout in yesterday. Calories were carb and fat dense as I was trying to use up some heavy whipping cream that I had bought for Thanksgiving. Made the NYTimes creamy cauliflower pasta recipe - delicious but definitely calorie- and fat-laden.
12/4: 132.9 - I had a good workout yesterday, but then mostly sedentary the rest of the day. Good eating within calories and with macros as well.
12/5: 133.4 - Mini-binge last night.
12/6: 133.8 - Headed in the wrong direction weight-wise, but doing my workouts and tracking my food

^ ^ I’m sure this is all water weight ^ ^
Had plenty of temptation for dinner since husband wanted Chili’s and then I topped it off with ice cream for dessert, only positive was that I was conscientious while eating dinner and only ate half of my meal
I believe I didn’t do so well because I didn’t log my food, and I didn’t log my food because my lunch was too difficult to figure. I let myself slide for the rest of the day after that.

~ So much better today! Mondays are always bring such smooth sailing, when it comes to eating - Sun 12/04🔴175; +2lbs
~ Not emotional eating this time. But I did eat when I wasn’t hungry and played a mental game of “Eat this/that because tomorrow (Monday) I won’t be able to” Not sure what my actual weight was last night but I’m guessing it went up a pound or two; Also, I felt really sick after my binge last night (documenting so I stay present and accountable)..needless to say I’m not happy with that[/quote] - Sat 12/03🔴173; +2.4lbs
~ My dad made his famous hamburgers and loaded potato salad and there were a few things that sabotaged my eating and my weight last night.
~ I didn’t log anything;
~ I didn’t drink half the water I usually drink;
~ I went a little crazy with snacking later at night all by myself. I think I was doing a little emotional eating and covered up some sadness that I didn’t and don’t want(or know how) to deal with right now. BUT: Today will be a better day! - SW: 170.6
~ Fought off my hungry alter ego monster for the last 10 days. Hopefully I won’t have too many more plans during this next round! Remember: don’t stop reading affirmations and meditating.
~ Ready as I’ll ever be!!💪

64 yr young F, 5ft 4 Round 207 (my 139th). As always, thank you. @QuiltingJaine.
Goal for this round, same as last, is to lose a pound.. No binges, keep within calories & macros.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. Healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

Day/Weight/Comment
12/3 136 – 4.03 miles walked.
12/4 136 – 3.36 miles walked around an advent trail with DGC, the very slow steps holding 18 month old hand whilst she walked didn't actually count the steps, but at that pace I'm barely burning any calories anyway & the experience & delight was much more enriching !!!
12/5 135.4 – back to end of last round weight. 14.68 miles walked, it was cold: 4 degrees C, but brisk walking kept us just about ok !!
12/6 135.4 – 9.62 miles walked.
12/7 135.8 – 7.46 miles walked.
12/8 134 – lovely whoosh !! 11.75 miles walked yesterday. WW trial ceased, it has given me a boost and refocused my mind, back to counting calories from today, would like to lose another pound or so before the big day.

12/05 -197.8- (Trend weight 197.7)

Yesterday was a no-exercise day
I am going to an office holiday cocktail party tonight. This is the most tempting I have been. There will be one room filled with just candies & sugary/salty treats (in the past I have always filled my giveaway bag with fancy chocolate suckers for my neighbor’s kids), There will be another room set up as an ice cream parlor, and at least two bars with fancy drinks and food (shellfish, meats, pasta, etc.) spread out everywhere. Not to mention waiters placing tempting appetizers in my face. I plan to eat a chicken or ham sandwich before we go to avoid too much temptation and hope for the best.

12/8 - 121.0. My treadmill arrived yesterday with no power cord I tried other cords that seemed to fit with no luck. Such a bummer. They're sending me a new one in 5-10 business days and giving me a month of my membership for free, but I really just want my tread to work!
