    12/15-117.6
    12/16-118.4
Flying to Penn. today. We will have dinner tonight with our daughter and son-in-law (who are also attending the wedding). We were told some wise person nixed the bride-to-be's original plan for an “outside winter wedding ceremony”; and the ceremony has been moved inside the barn. YAH
Well, I did not achieve the 27” waist but I am happy where I have come from 4 months ago.

    HSW: 211.6 lb (Aug 2021)
    SW: 191.1 lb (Oct 2022)

Round 208 goal: To lose a pound.

Round 208 starting weight: 175.5 lb.

    12/13: 175.5 lb.
I started heavier resistance training and ate at calorie limit.

    12/14: 175.7 lb
I visited a friend and they made a whole platter of food for my visit so it was hard to turn down. I tried my best to estimate the calories afterwards but I may have even exceeded maintenance. I will not dwell on it too much but it does remind me how difficult it can be to calorie count and maintain a social life.

    12/15: 175.3 lb
Stayed within my calorie target and exercised. All good.

    12/16: 174.8 lb
I was consistent again - ate within calorie target and exercised.

12/16: 146.2 - I'm up a little over 2 pounds over the past couple of days. I worked out on the Peloton bike. However, last night was dinner out and I did not plan nor track dinner. Later I got into those after-dinner snacks. Apparently I need to track every single meal right now to keep myself accountable.

@Skyleen75 I feel your pain! I agree too. Today is a new day. I'm not going to beat myself up.

@Machias1949 Safe travels and have fun at the wedding! And congrats on where you are compared to 4 months ago. Good job!

Joining late because my travel plans to my MIL's fell through, so I'll be home for the rest of the round! This challenge helps motivate me so much. I've been very off track for a few days here and need to right the ship.

12/15 - 127.2! Yeesh, gained a lot from all those travel meals and not being mindful.
12/16 - 125.6 I think, can't really remember what came after the 5 this morning. I've taken rest days the past two days. Slammed at work in the lead up to the holidays so have to fight to get exercise in today. We were supposed to go to my MIL's tomorrow for a week before Christmas, but my family is a little bit sick and it looks like there is going to be a snowstorm on the days we planned to travel home. Honestly at this point in my life, the greatest gift I can receive is cancelled plans, so I'm relieved to stay home. Plus I can save a couple of the vacation days I was going to take next week for the upcoming year! Really want to get some of this bloat/weight off so I can go swimsuit shopping next week and feel good.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
    • Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
    • A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
    • Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
    • The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
    • Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
    • The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
    • When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
    • Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
    Stick with the process. It
DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

12/13 / 174.6 / I came home from work last night to a feast and I had nibbles here and there throughout the night that added up. I did get my walk yesterday at lunch but my steps were still a bit low. Planning to do better today!
12/14 / 175 / My husband got to return early from his business trip. Hooray! I had a good day today.
    12/15 / 174.6
12/16 / 174.6 / I'll take this weight two days in a row so I don't have to see 175 again! My last full work week for 2022 is now behind me. Tonight after work we had a nice dinner out and went and saw some Christmas lights.

@quiltingjaine I get regular manicures Nov-March (lol no point during garden season). Just a glance at my fancy little paws always makes me feel good! I wish I had learned earlier in life that we should treat ourselves special all the time! I’m glad I know it now.

@Machias1949 - oh dear !! At least you'll look lovely and you have the satisfaction that you could have worn the forest green dress, you'll have to go to another event to wear it ! Lol 😆. A photo of you in your outfit would be nice, but have a wonderful time, just enjoy 🤗😄xx
