I met this goal today (fitbit miles, not running). Trying to get 2,023 fitbit miles in 2,023; 1,223 to go.
    43abjfoudcgz.png

According to my tracker "WHOA! You're crushing this challenge! Keep it up, you're on pace to finish on November 30th, 2023 and not a day later!" Yeah me. :p

Wow! that's amazing! That's a goal I haven't ever considered but I love it. I don't do Fitbit anymore but with my Apple Watch I could do something like it. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.

Hello, I'm Darlene. I'm 62. I Married, and have one kid (28) and one pup (Monty), no grandkids. I have been retired since 2020. My husband was retired, but returned to work in January. I vowed to take this year to lose weight, get healthy, give up some bad habits, exercise, read more, etc. I started a few challenges last month to see which ones I liked, this is one that kept me accountable so I am back! Looking forward to see what May brings!

    Start Weight: 227
    Goal Weight: 160

    January weight Lost: 9 Pounds
    February weight Lost: 5 Pounds
    March weight Lost: 5 Pounds
    April weight Lost: 8 Pounds

    My goals for May:
    Lose 4 Pounds ⚖️
Log 50 Fit Bit Miles Per Week 🏃‍♂️
Read 1/2 Hour each Day (at least 5 days/week) 📖
Knit 1/2 Hour each Day (at least 5 days/week) 🧶

    🌻May 🌻

1 - 200.2 - Very close to Onederland - hoping to get there this week! 🤞
    2 - 199.8 - 😁Made it! Now to keep it there!
    3 - 200.0 - :s
    4 - 200.0 :s
    5 - 199.6 - :) Well let's try this again!
    6 - 199.6 :|
    7 - 199 - 😁 Woo Hoo! Don't know how that happend, but I'll take it.
    8 - 199.4 - :s
    9 - 198.6 - 😁
10 - 197.2 - 😁😁 That one deserves a double Woo Hoo! Probably be up tomorrow! LOL
11 - 198.2 - :s Called it! But I still like the May trend. Have a couple of challenging days ahead. My daughter is coming over tomorrow night. We are celebrating her birthday and Mother's day. She is spending then night, and then we all will go to my Mom's to take her out for breakfast for Mother's day. Hoping to make some good choices.
12 - 197.6 :| Thinking that scale was wrong on Wed; but getting back there.
13 - 197.8 :s What I expected. Went out with the family last night for dinner. Didn't really think I overdid it, tried to estimate the calories for MFP, and was under calorie range, but think that it was probably salty. Have breakfast with Mom this morning, then I hope to eat light the rest of the day, and get in my excercise, walk Monty. Hoping it's down tomorrow.

Hello! I am Amanda, I am back in for the month of May! This is an inspiring group!
My goal for May is to get moving! I am such a procrastinator when it comes to this and I set it as a goal every month and NEVER do it. The weather should cooperate now.

    May goals:
    💥Walk 3x/week
    💥Lose 4 or 5 pounds

    OSW: 250
    OGW: 150
    5/1/23: 199.7
    5/31/23 goal: 195

    5/1: 199.7
    5/2: 199.7
    5/3: 199.7 🤨
    5/4: 199.7
    5/5: 199.0
    5/6: 199.0
    5/7: 198.7 *walked*

    5/8: 197.8 (!)
It’s a new week. I’m going to try really hard to go for a walk or at least get my steps in 3 days this week. I’ve been feeling really tired so it’s a delicate balance.

    5/9: 197.8
I am feeling much more lively and promised myself I would only work 10 hours yesterday and go for a walk after. That did not happen. I ended up working 13 hours and it was raining and dark by the time I got done. Mondays are always crazy at work but I need to work on firmer boundaries. Set my work status to “No.” 🤨

    5/10: 197.8 *walked*
Well that work boundary thing didn’t work out great yesterday but I won’t bore you with details.
I did great with calories and steps (for me) yesterday and the weather is supposed to be nice today too, so hopefully a repeat.

    5/11: 197.8

    5/12: 197.8
I seem to be “stuck” at this number. I think it’s because I don’t get enough movement in. The work week is over for me, so hopefully a walk today and planning the menu for Mothers Day. I am still very very fatigued like I was last week and I think one of my medications is the culprit.
Have a lovely day lovely ladies!

    5/13: 197.8
Can I get a woosh? The scale keeps settling at 194 for a few seconds then jumps up to the 197.8, kind of frustrating! No walk yesterday, the fatigue took my day over. I have a note into my doctor.

@ddainiak I think eating out is hidden salt, almost no matter what you choose.
That’s quite a 2023 goal but I love it! I have a FitBit but I really only use it as a reminder to get up and move every hour while I’m working, otherwise I would just zone in on my work and not get up. I used it last summer for swimming but I no longer have access to that pool ☹️ I am a bit of a germaphobe so I can’t see myself joining a community pool.
    You’re an inspiration!

I am catching up with everyone's progress and enjoying all the puppy pics! From Monty to Nova and then Brutus and Woody - it gave me the warm fuzzies. We are hopeful to add some cuddle muffins to our house this summer, once we manage to switch up some rooms in our rental. We cannot afford to rent a larger home, so we are trying to create a bedroom in the basement for my oldest.

I loved the zoo pic of the grandkids! And the quotes that have been shared are great too!

The stress this past week has been my job. I am grateful that they gave me two days off for my grandmother's funeral, but since then, I am constantly getting, "Where is this?" and "Why isn't this done?" I've been putting in 60 hours a week to catch up on projects and hit deadlines that I realize now, are not realistic if they want me to produce quality work.

But I just don’t feel like cooking at 9:00 pm so I’m in a pickle. I do have some prep cooked foods but don’t want those every night. Gotta figure it out.

    5/14: 197.0
Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there! Dog, cat, human or otherwise! Hope your day is special! 🌸
