Lanette - I thought you might get a chuckle out of this.

Lanette - thanks for the heads up. I have been seeing this therapist for a while and she has helped my back and hips so much. I’m hoping she ca. kick this in the butt too.
I read that it is common in women aged 40-60.
Rita - I hope your chihuahua is ok.
We like travelling on our own too. My favourite vacation was what we called the “fly by the seat of your pants”. We just drove and stopped when we felt like it. It was wonderful.
Debbie - you might be surprised about what the triplets remember. I babysat two sisters for 1.5 years starting when they were 2 and 4. They are now adults and both are on my FB.
Heather - it’s amazing what Edie does. She is a treasure.
Allie - Will Carmine have a chance to really change the grades at final exam time? My daughter was able to do that one year.
Had my massage appointment she thinks it’s the very start of frozen shoulder and that my Google treatment is working well. I am going back next Tuesday. She did cupping today. I’ve never had it before, so we’ll see how I feel in a day or two. She said that is when I’ll feel the effects most.
I stopped on the way home and picked up a couple things. One of our local stores sells lunch size bags of chips individually. I bought a bag for myself. When I went to get them DH had taken them to work. 😂
Now I’m trying to figure out a snack.

Good evening ladies!
Today I ate 1328 calories which is high for me. But I did my bike and my dumbbells for a deficit of 191. Yay!

Tomorrow is Athena's 4yr old wellness checkup at the doctors so we got out her play doctor stuff and we practiced what she might be doing tomorrow. She announced that after she has to get a shot, she will get a cake pop. 💖👍🏼😁

17. Find a way to make what you do today meaningful. Pack up a donation box, deliver to thrift store after annual?
Pest guy came as promised, hooray. $140 to treat house for both carpenter ants and termites. Gave a referral to an honest contractor to repair the damage to the front wall of the house. Contractor actually returned my call and will come Friday to assess the damage and give an estimate. [gulp] Joe was hoping the wall would outlast him…
Ginny safe travels. Sounds like an exhausting time.
KJ thanks for your meatless meal suggestions. Mom was right! (no surprise there… )
Lanette thanks for the insight about training and staffing dispatchers. A year, wow, I had no idea.
Karen hard conversation to have, but know you love your brother so much you’ll find a way to help him stay within his means.
Joy so very very glad your traveling companions were so good. Sorry for the lack of sanitization station (or for that coughing couple to mask up.)
Tracey, Rodger and Joe must be brothers from another mother when it comes to dealing with managing household finances. What are the 300 and 600 courses?
Rita (((hugs)))
Debbie ssssnakes! Eeeeuw!
Heather, 10th? Very well done, Edie!
Annie if your therapist is brushing aside your diet/exercise lifestyle then yes, time to find someone else who will really listen. Good luck!
Alliethe glasses, hair and your smile.
Katla hope you can get an eye Dr. appointment soon. As much as you love to read, good glasses are a must.
Pip nice railings but I really like the fairy lights.

Small school in northern Alberta.
There was the grad dance at the end of Grade 12 for the graduating class (all 20 of us or whatever it was), but I think American proms are for the whole school toward the end of the school year, not just the graduating class.

After kirby got hit by the car back when we were in Tacoma, part of his ailments that he was left with was something called central cord syndrome. Without any warning he can loose control of his bowel movements, meaning as hard as he can try to control his butt muscles to hold his poop in so he will have an accident wherever we may be. He doesn’t know when it will happen and it happens very randomly so I have him put on a diaper while we are on his walks JUST in case. It happened while we were walking the kids not too long ago and he didn’t have a diaper on so I walked behind him and had him tie his windbreaker around his waist to cover up the mess, we made it to a bathroom and he INSISTED on continuing with the 6 mile walk, we had about 4 miles to go. Soooo, he is getting an MRI to see if there is anything new they can find out to solve that problem or that’s just how his life is going to be.SophieRosieMom wrote: »Good morning ladies!
Pip - love love love your thick hair! It's beautiful! Was sorry to hear about Kirby's digestive issues, glad he can be prepared for them. As someone mentioned, this seems to happen to nearly all of us now and then as we get older for various reasons.

Hi, ladies. Been trying to catch up and reading from page 18 now. So much happening with everyone. My trip to Ireland was wonderful. Such a beautiful country and we were treated so well everywhere we went. I think Ireland values the tourist industry. The couple I travelled with were amazing. It was the first time I travelled with anyone for years as I normally go solo so I was a bit nervous. They were both so nice and I enjoyed their company. Never complained about anything and were so enthusiastic about all we saw. I think we got a good overview of Ireland and saw many amazing sites from castles to cathedrals. We went to the area of Cork which was where my grandfather would have immigrated from and went through a replica of a famine ship. Was surprised to hear that the original ship was built from lumber that came from Quebec. Meals and accommodation were very good. We were even treated to an evening of entertainment by the Celtic Steps which was fabulous.
The one downside was a couple on the tour were coughing when we first met up for the meet/greet. As the tour progressed I saw more people getting sick. The bus was pretty full with about 40 people. I think the tour director could have lessened the risk of germs spreading if he had set up a sanitizing station for people to use every time they entered the bus. A simple bottle of hand sanitizer for everyone to use before entering and touching the handrails which everyone used would have helped. I got sick the day I returned. It was not an ordinary head cold but one that was fever, hacking cough and extreme tiredness. Ended up in bed for 6 days. The couple I travelled with came down with it the day they left for Belfast so their extended trip was ruined and then they had to fly back to Canada with this head cold. Not a pleasant situation for them.
I love travelling but not sure I will do the escorted bus tours again or at least stay away from the bigger bus tours.
Now back to reality. Trying to get my garden planted. Just have a few more things to put in this morning. It has cooled off a bit as it has been very hot here. Now we are dealing with smoke from all the fires going on around us. I feel for all the people being evacuated. Looks like we are going to have a couple of days of cooler weather, then back up to hot again with maybe some reprieve in site next week with hopefully some much needed rain.
DH has just started working on the field and will be seeding by the end of the week. Just seeding one quarter of barley this year. Due to all this hot, dry weather have decided to take two quarters out of production and just summerfallow them this year.
Joy
I'm glad you had a nice time there.
I think I'd have worn a mask in that situation. I'm considering starting to wear one on our public transportation.

Good morning ladies. We are on the road to Minnesota. The first day we started out with a rainbow. Then we drove through the Arizona Petrified Forest. We actually ended the day with a rainbow!
Yesterday we ended up in Nebraska and met up with some friends that we hang out with in Arizona. We were told that we had to eat at the Runza restaurant and try a Runza. So we met our friends at the restaurant and enjoyed a Nebraska treat! Today we are heading to Grand Forks ND. That is only an hour from my MIL’s Farm. We will pick her up some Chocolate from Widman’s famous for their Chocolate Covered Old Dutch Ripple Potato Chips. We will wait until tomorrow morning to go to see her because she is more coherent in the morning. Then we will head to our home in Walker MN to check on our property and talk to our Caretaker. We will probably end up firing her because she violated our lease agreement 4 different ways. We decided to put her on probation for the remainder of the lease which ends August 31st. She owes us 23 hours of work per month for her discounted rent. Which since September has really only had maybe 10 hours of work total. Most work is done now until fall because it’s yard and house maintenance. Hopefully she will do the work. We are also going to give her the option to terminate the lease early. We cannot terminate the lease because of the laws in MN are geared in favor of the tenant. My husband also didn’t write in the lease that she was getting discounted rent or anything about having to pay the total amount of rent if she was fired as caretaker. The only thing that might help hold her accountable is that we have a rent to own agreement with her that in three years will give her around a $10,000 down payment. Now we know that we need to rewrite our lease!
Have a great day everyone! Time to get on the road again!

Tried to book an exhibition and lunch in June with G in Chichester. Gwen John, who I love. Inadvertently booked for this afternoon, so had to ring them and get the ticket changed.
All is well. G has booked lunch at the gallery. It's not long before the cruise, so I hope I won't be feeling too neurotic!!
Also trying to arrange a birthday lunch with DH's cricket friend. Proving hard to find a mutually convenient day. I don't like doing too many things together and certainly not meals out.

Drive safe Mary! I'll let you know when I FEEL the change in THE FORCE!!! Enjoy the weather. It's been really cool Up North! Beautiful Pix!
