Hi all, I'm glad to be back for another month of this great challenge, thanks so much @jm216

I really want to ramp up my efforts this month and try and make some headway, as I've been slacking the last few months and trudging along. My birthday at the end of August is my target to get my trend weight to 140lbs, which is 6.4lbs away, so I need to FOCUS! I have a trip away for the last 9 days of this month so my challenge is to try to get to 144lbs by then, 1.6lbs in 20 days. It's going to be tough, my body can be very stubborn when it comes to weight loss, but I'm going to try and hit my goals every day.

@Buckeyebabe7l7 You are on fire with your steps!

@ddainiak Almost three pounds in a week is definitely more of a smile than a frown!

@39flavours Your body isn't being stubborn at all right now! Well done! When I saw the spelling of "flavours" I checked out your profile to see if you were Canadian, but instead you come from the land that gave us that spelling!

@jm216 Sounds like you have a lot going on, on top of having a new puppy! I noticed that you are a day behind in your reporting...today is the 9th. Then I looked at my post and discovered the same thing! (I was able to edit mine, even though I don't really remember what the scale said yesterday!)

I am kicking my daughter's butt! lol But I am doing it more for me this week. I have my niece's wedding next weekend and want to lose as much as I can this week. My weigh in is tomorrow so we will see if it made a difference. 🤞

My nephew is getting married in July, so I am doing the same thing...trying to lose as much as I can before then. I have a dress that I wore to my girlfriend's son's wedding last summer, and it fits, so at least I don't have to go dress shopping at this size. Takes the pressure off. If I continue to lose, I may choose to see if I can find something I like better, closer to the wedding.

06/08-DNW-(Trend Weight DNW)- My out-of-town cardiology appointment went very well yesterday. I don’t have to go back for awhile. I had a Very high carb and calorie dinner yesterday while in the city. Bad snacks last night that I should not have brought home. My elastic waist shorts are rolling down which means I need the next size up again - that clothing which has been painstakingly stored upstairs. It was a lot of work sorting all the clothing in April. I will not be going up and dragging any back down! I am happy that I should be home the next couple of days to get back on track and back to routine. I have been traveling quite a bit lately which is never good for me. I didn’t weigh in today. I already know that I need to get back on course. But I did need to face and speak my situation truths so here I am, bursting at the seams.

06/09-196.0-(Trend Weight 195.7)- We’ve been invited to a Lasagna dinner by my younger daughter. It’s my son’s favorite dish. She wants me to help make it which means I’ll be doing all the work and she’ll be setting the table lol. We have to reserve a piece or two for my ex-husband (her dad) who still misses my cooking. I guess that’s what happens when you spend 27 years together and 21 years in marriage lol. Air quality here in my area of Michigan is still bad. It is forecasted to be worse today than yesterday due to the wind currents. My heart and prayers go out for those directly affected in Canada.

@deepwoodslady Thank you. I am not even remotely close to any fires, but I appreciate the sentiment on behalf of my fellow Canadians who are. Make sure you teach your daughter how to make that lasagna so that next time you can set the table while she gets her hands dirty!!

I have a busy weekend planned. Starting this afternoon I went out with my daughters to look for an outfit for my niece's wedding next weekend. It was a fun time shopping because I was in a smaller size than I have have been in a while and I looked good to boot! Then we went to my favorite restaurant for dinner. Saturday we plan on having all my kids and their families for a pool party and cookout. Finally, Sunday is my youngest grandson's 1st birthday party. So, I will be out and about all weekend. 😊

Thank you! I've cut out alcohol and increased my daily steps, which seems to have kicked off a losing spree for me, I'm loving it!
I only recently found out that Canadians use some of the same spellings as the UK that American English doesn't use. It makes sense because of the commonwealth, I'd just assumed that Canada used US spellings.

Woke up early - got a mile on the treadmill. Hoping I can beat my "best in a day" today and get that next badge.

@HASWLRS Way to go! You're doing great. Are you doing the summer Hogwarts challenge? I miss it, kept me motivted to keep moving. Looking forward to getting my owl next week.

@jm216 It must be so much fun to have two puppies in the house. Does Nova get jealous?

@deepwoodslady The air was bad here in Connecticut too. Was better yesterday. Was affecting my workouts (don't like to walk inside all the time). Looking forward to getting outside today - so is Monty. Hope it clears up for you soon.

@Buckeyebabe7l7 Kicking butts and taking names. What is your actual challenge? Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Enjoy!

Not having a strong start here for June. It’s okay.

    6/6: 196.0
    6/7: 196

I’m having severe mood problems from the estrogen blocker I have to take due to my breast cancer diagnosis. I am anxious, paranoid, depressed and irritable. Overall just a ball of joy! I haven’t been logging food but have been paying attention. Hoping this mood thing will even itself out and I can get back to normal.
It sounds like everyone is doing great with their goals and their NSV’s. That is something to be happy about.

Hi, I'm Lisa. I am 57, 5'5", and just coming down from my highest weight ever at 212. I was only there for a fleeting moment, but a moment nonetheless. And that "moment" put me in the Obese Class II category....what a wake-up call!! I live in southern Ontario, have been married for 31 years and we have a family farm supply business that I work at very, very part time, filing invoices and stuffing monthly statements. We have two grown sons; The oldest, 29, works at the family business and lives here in town. He has a lovely girlfriend, but they haven't been dating that long, so no grand kids yet. The youngest, 27, is currently single and lives in Prague, CZ. He is coming home in July for three weeks for a family wedding!!

My goals for June are to continue to log daily and walk often and to get my house in order for my son's extended visit!

    May weight loss: 9.8 pounds

@Buckeyebabe7l7 Congratulations on your new smaller dress! Enjoy all your weekend festivities...it sounds like fun times!

Thank you so much! I didn't know what size would fit but I was thinking a size 18 or a size 16. We found 1 dress I liked in a size 16 and then 2 other dresses I liked in a size 14 and a 12. That was all we could find. Tried the 16 on first and it was too big!!! I was shocked. Then I tried the 14 on and it fit perfectly and looked awesome. I am so happy with how I look in it too. I might post a picture of me in it if we get a good shot next weekend. (I hate pictures of myself) Anyway, I am excited about going to the wedding and having a great time.

@Buckeyebabe7l7 Kicking butts and taking names. What is your actual challenge? Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Enjoy!

It's an Apple fitness challenge. So, it tracks our progress each day for a week in the areas of step count, calories burned, and minutes of exercise. Each day there is a max number of points you are able to earn...600. I have been maxing out each day! The winner is the one who has accumulated the most points at the end of the week. It's fun because we can see what each other are doing on our watches and keep track of where we are in relation to each other. I get alerts when she's finished an exercise set...etc.

You said,"Took the day off yesterday. First day since Mid March that I was over my calorie limit. The old me would say - "You go off your diet one day and you gain it all back; why bother"; the new me says "Let's hit the next fitbit badge today to make up for it". Woke up early - got a mile on the treadmill. Hoping I can beat my "best in a day" today and get that next badge."

I was very much like your old self in the way I would think too and sometimes still struggle with it but I am learning to accept a day off is sometimes needed to refresh and rejuvenate myself so I can be even more motivated as I move forward. It's not a failure! It's self care so I don't burn out and give up.

You have a great attitude and wonderful spirit!

06/10-196.0-(Trend Weight 195.7)- I kept my lasagna portion lighter and stayed away from the bread. It helped. Today is the big BBQ birthday party for my oldest turning 40. I haven’t been feeling well since yesterday evening (low blood pressure again) so maybe I won’t overeat today!

Great job everyone here! I love this daily check-in. Hope it’s been a great weekend for y’all.

Doing alright! I will fluctuate, and I don’t let it get to me. Once I’ve reached a lower weight, it will bounce back down. For, what goes up, must…
