Hello, I’m Jill. 🥰I’m 53, 5’7” and I live in Michigan. My hubby and I have 2 kids.
My son graduated from college on May 6th and my daughter is now officially a sophomore in college.
My goals for June:
🏡 Yardwork— new pool liner June 20th
📝 Log consistently
🐶 Walk and train puppies
🥗 Continue the high-protein, lower carb, lower fat plan
January weight lost: 7.7 pounds
February weight lost: 5 pounds
March weight lost: 6 pounds
April weight lost: 6.5 pounds

Jill and I are going to share in our pursuit of the 80's!
Hi, I'm Lisa. I am 57, 5'5", and just coming down from my highest weight ever at 212. I was only there for a fleeting moment, but a moment nonetheless. And that "moment" put me in the Obese Class II category....what a wake-up call!! I live in southern Ontario, have been married for 31 years and we have a family farm supply business that I work at very, very part time, filing invoices and stuffing monthly statements. We have two grown sons; The oldest, 29, works at the family business and lives here in town. He has a lovely girlfriend, but they haven't been dating that long, so no grand kids yet. The youngest, 27, is currently single and lives in Prague, CZ. He is coming home in July for three weeks for a family wedding!!
My goals for June are to continue to log daily and walk often and to get my house in order for my son's extended visit!

Hello, I'm Darlene. I'm 62. I Married, and have one kid (28) and one pup (Monty), no grandkids. I have been retired since 2020. My husband was retired, but returned to work in January. I vowed to take this year to lose weight, get healthy, give up some bad habits, exercise, read more, etc. Back again this month! Thanks again Jill!

Hi everyone 👋 I’m Robin, 53, 5’3” from British Columbia, Canada. I’ve been married for 27 years, coming up on 28. I have two grown daughters who no longer live at home and two Jack Russell Terriers. No grand babies yet. I work full time, from home.
After a crazy year; we sold our home of 23 years and moved to our dream, lake house while finding out I had breast cancer at the same time. Talk about stress… I had surgery two weeks before the move. And then radiation and now five years of estrogen blockers which have left me feeling fatigued, with persistent joint pain and bumped up my weight. So I’m back on MFP for a health and weight reset. I’ve been successful here before. 😊

06/01-DNW-(Trend Weight DNW)- The movie was great (The Little Mermaid). The new theater was wonderful. It was a 75 mile drive to the theater each way. Lots of sitting and lots of food. Three full meals and a snack. None of the food was within plan. My pants are tight and I don’t want to know until tomorrow.

Hi all, I'm glad to be back for another month of this great challenge, thanks so much @jm216
I really want to ramp up my efforts this month and try and make some headway, as I've been slacking the last few months and trudging along. My birthday at the end of August is my target to get my trend weight to 140lbs, which is 6.4lbs away, so I need to FOCUS! I have a trip away for the last 9 days of this month so my challenge is to try to get to 144lbs by then, 1.6lbs in 20 days. It's going to be tough, my body can be very stubborn when it comes to weight loss, but I'm going to try and hit my goals every day.

@canadiangirl014 Welcome! I too have just started an estrogen blocker due to breast cancer and the struggle is real with the weight. I was heavy prior to my diagnosis but adding in the drug has not made weight loss (or joint pain, mood swings, hot flashes, dry skin, digestive issues, the list goes on) nearly impossible! There are a couple of other breast cancer survivors on here, you’re among friends.4

@HASWLRS Yes, I in the Pursuit of the 80's group (again). I did touch down there for a short layover, but then ended up in flight and back in the 90's. Boy, is this tough! But persistence pays off so I know we will all get there, TOGETHER!1 -

@joans1976 I have been on the estrogen blockers for 14 years. I never thought about it contributing to the weight gain or the difficulty in losing weight. Wow! Eyes wide open now! I do know that it is probably contributing to my incredible hair loss and problems with my hair. I had chemo/radiation and I'm not sure how much is from permanent damage of the chemo and how much is from the estrogen blocker or the thyroid medication (or the diabetes medication) for that matter. It's horrid!
Sometimes trying to lose weight just feels like it's all uphill. I know it's hard for everyone due to different medical issues, age, physical barriers etc. but these medications help one thing and hurt another! I guess I'll just have to resist more (food) and move more (with exercise) and call it what it is-unfair, but not let it stop me. Let's do this girls! We beat breast cancer and we can beat it's chains too!3 -

06/02-195.6-(Trend Weight 195.0)- Ugh. Hate it but it is well deserved from my movie day out-of-town. No TMI x 2 days doesn’t help either. Gonna stay the course today. I already have a roast in the crockpot for dinner tonight and prep cooking for future. I’ll pre-log my day today and try to get some movement in. It’s supposed to be 91 degrees today and I don’t have air conditioning. Exercise will be rough but I’ll think of something.

You can only edit your own post within the first hour of posting. On the laptop, three dots in right hand corner of post. You have to copy and paste your post from the day before and add in a new weight and/or comment before posting it. BTW, nice weigh-in this morning!2
