Hi! I’m new to this community and learning to navigate. I used MyPlate for a couple of years with success until they closed their site. I’m 70 and hoping to lose another 25 lbs and continue to improve my health. I am pretty motivated and would love to get and give some positive feedback, tips and new ideas.

Hello, and welcome!
Have you looked at any of the challenge group in that part of the MFP Community? There are quite a few different ones. You can read their intro posts to see their rules and get a feel for the "culture", then join one that sounds like it may be a good fit.
It's a good way to meet some like-minded people. Don't be afraid to participate in an all-ages group: I've found that we all tend to have more in common than not, at all ages, when it comes to weight management. (I'm 67 now, and maintaining; was 59-60 when I lost from class 1 obese to a healthy weight after decades previously of being overweight/obese.)
