Finished over target at 60 miles after my first 8 mile run for a couple of years in the one bright spot of weather this weekend. It has the feel of 'edge of winter' right now, windy and wet.

Rather than go out and exercise I enjoyed a date with my gorgeous wife and went to see Oppenheimer at the cinema. Shared a bag stroopwafels - realised my half was nearly 700 calories. Oops!

I'll finally be joining again from tomorrow! Had a very minor surgery for lipoma removal on my ankle last Thursday and it's probably healed well enough to try and run again. My shoulder surgery has also healed. Fitness? Totally lost it, thus probably lots of walking, and the weather is totally *kitten* here (stormy, rainy, cold). So lets bring it on.

Goal met! I ran at least a mile every day this month except for yesterday and I spent the day hiking (16.24 miles) on the Appalachian Trail for 7 hours, 42 minutes with 3,803 elevation gain. Onwards to August!

I ran 2 miles today to complete July. I completed the streak and ran at least one mile everyday and I overshot my mileage goal by over 40 miles. I guess I need to look at my goal setting. I will say that when I set my goal for July I was thinking that I would walk some of the streak days, so I ended up running more than I planned. I'll have to look at my goal for August. Thanks for setting us up @AlphaHowls!

@polskagirl01 The vultures always creep me out. We have a pair of cardinals in our yard, and I love to watch them. They don't take any crap from the squirrels either!

What a lot of impressive running, walking, hiking, streaking and fuelling this month! I've been busy as ever but have followed, liked and hugged along the way.
I clocked 183.3km in July which is very high for me, and that was just in base training.
I have to admit I'm glad the month is over. Our club challenge, which was literally an uphill slog, was good training and I'll probably keep that route in my collection but don't intend to ever 'race' it again as I have this month. It took over an hour the first time I did it, today I got my time down to 39 minutes 20 seconds. Think I will be in 4th place. I would have liked to get to 3rd but needed to shave another minute off my time and on 4 hours sleep (sick, pathetic husband last night) it wasn't going to happen. Then we took a wrong turn and ended up in a dry stream that involved some rock climbing to get down and then out of. Oops!

Moving boxes is hard work @polskagirl01 . I'm glad you felt enough to do that. The vulture would have creeped me out too. I also love watching nature do it's thing. Hopefully the cardinal will win the next round.

I use an Android every day to access this forum Years ago I realized the MFP app was really wonky, but if you use a web browser to get here, everything works fine. So I would suggest to all the Android army to come here using your web browser.

I got you early this morning so I could get my run in before I went to work. I don't know if that was it, or that I'm used to eating first (did have a spoon of peanut butter), or I didn't sleep well, or what, but it was a really tough run and I tried to keep it easy. I mostly did a 4/1 run/walk at various times at 4.2 - 4.5 mph. Ran 2.25 miles in 31:03 min for an avg pace of 13:48 min/mile. Avg HR was 131 with a max of 141 bpm. I also walked a mile total for warm up and cool down.

I had a very fun, but also very unhealthy weekend, but was happy to get out the door this morning to get my remaining kms to reach my monthly goal. I made it! 152.3km/150km for July.
