M – see, I don’t have a problem telling people here that I’m going to FL. But I’d never do it on Facebook. I see your point, tho. I figure people from Ohio, California, Washington, and all over aren’t about to make a trip to NC just to rob me (and if they did, not like they’d get much). Now you never know who even lives near you is on Facebook. So glad there weren’t any problems.

    Michele NC

We didn't tell very many people at all and didn't announce it anywhere on FB or forums. :)

It was something just for us, not for general public knowledge. :) There are lots of things in my life like that, and I'm sure many people's lives. Things we want to keep as precious to us at the time ... but later we can talk about them.

And MyFitnessPal is a lot more public than Facebook. Anyone in the world can google what we type here.

THANK YOU ALL! I am much calmer this evening. It will be okay.
No changes in DH'S eye. No new technology. Back in 8 months. Did stop at Cabelas in Dundee,MI before heading home. That was really nice. I got two sweaters, a Christmas sweatshirt, and two pairs of winter/rain boots. DH got two new jackets. One a 2xl (I struggled with that but must run small) the other is just an xl. He also got new hunting blind. We also got 4 new Christmas lanterns. By stopping we also avoided rush hour traffic. The interesting thing is we left home at 9 am and temp was 48F. Got to Detroit at 1 pm it was 41F. When we left Cabelas, the temp had gone up to 63F at 6 pm. It is 73 right now at home at 10pm. Craziness!

I had to throw out a pair of shoes and boots today that were falling apart. The "leather" was peeling off. They were favorites but 20 y/o. Well loved.

Allie She is cute. I have never named cars......my mom did. I am impressed some days that I gave my daughters good names-lol! Even pets are hard for me to name.

Didn't hit goal of 8600 steps, but did get 6500. Kids meal with 4 chicken nuggets at McDonald's with water. The best choice I could make at the time. Perfect portion plus apples.

    Sleep well!
    Love,
    Kylia

Tracey - I'm sorry your DH won't report the workplace incident. He could have health consequences down the line, and reporting it would give him protection and compensation. Men!!!! :#

I had a reasonably good night. Awake reading for an hour, but woke up at my usual time. I've just had a mug of tea.
Expecting rain, so I'm not sure what I will do. The others want to go up the Spinnaker Tower, but I've done that and it's expensive. If the weather was better, a stroll around the old town would be nice, but I'm not sure. Do I have the courage to make a bolt for it? I've got to leave my bag at the hotel if we stroll.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxx

M – happy you got to visit with your family. You should have shared this with us sooner. How wonderful for you!

I'm not one for announcing we're away from home on a public forum before or during the trip. :)

Machka: I’m with you on this one. It’s common sense to not announce to the world that you’re away from home.

Gotta dash. Keep your chin up! 😝

Rebecca, mold? Yikes! Is the chief using that an excuse to avoid cooking/washing up? Great coconut oil suggestions. Need to dust off that jar in the bathroom ;)
Rita thanks  your bucket garden. Just deadheaded our mums, love your pinks. Think I got a dozen tiny cherry tomatoes this year, snow peas did ok and there was an overabundance of red romaine ;} Three volunteer potatoes are trying to come up, don’t they know it’s winter??? “Bittersweet chocolate with almonds day” that would be every day here ;) so I’m with you about giving in to my sweets addiction
Tracey thanks and likewise. Not sure, but likely it was the weather that knocked our internet out. Better internet than electricity… ;} Love the villiage, are those gift/goodie bags? Perfect for a cookie exchange! A snap that severe sure sounds like whiplash. Praying Rodger has no after effects from the incident. Men can be so stubborn wanting to avoid the appearance of vulnerability, risking serious long term consequences. Hope he’ll see the light today.
Heather “. . .we have to keep going, or we lose it completely.” Truth this! Sounds like you made the best compromise possible for the reunion. Safe travels! Had to google affogato, sounds delicious. Thanks a lot!
Barbie “the pedometer counts backwards. Dog walking is a different kind of workout. 🐾😀” Aha, I knew something was up… down. “…holiday activities is that they should be a source of happiness or else not do them.” Yes this. Alas, I’ve figured out I do the baking and candy making for ME!!! Annie on her bed… with squirrel
    Vicki belated happy anniversary!
Carol, I try not to clap at line dance, as I’m always off. . . ;} How sad for your husband’s brother. Praying for him and you both.
Annie ((hugs)) just ((hugs)) Hope your dad’s Dr. appointment was helpful. Belated happy birthday to your mom.
Terri Jack is 19? Amazingly well done! Glad the filling was “relatively” painless and you’re clear of DDS appointments for six months. Sounds like heaven to me…
Kylia walkaday is that an iphone app? ((hugs)) held extra long. You WILL calm yourself and you are right to be proud of your independent successful daughters. Sometimes it’s hard to accept the boundaries of those we love.
    Lanette yours to Annie about the house assessment and her dad. Your Sophie is on the same wakeup schedule as Joe. ;}
Joy freezing fog is scary. Safe travels!
Lisa DIY sunroom is so impressive. Well done you both! Loved yours to Kylia.
Michele fingers X’d for favorable blood test results.
Allie cortisone shots in both hips? Yow!!! For some reason all my blue vehicles, from my first bicycle, have been “Roxanne”. IDK. ;)
Sue sorry to hear of the walking test but glad you’ve got a specialist who took the time to do all the tests. Fingers X’d for a favorable CT scan.
Debbie wow what a score! I wouldn’t pay that for a clock either :noway: And the video? Had to turn it off after just a few seconds, my eyes started rolling around in opposite directions  What are embossing boards?
Kim your bean soup sounds lovely, warming, filling and healthy. Have the family you cook for disliked any of your other offerings?
Machka  your trip. Well done on the planning, choices, and adjustments as needed on the fly. ((hugs)) Looks like you both had fun at the miniature golf ;)
Beth your “no one ever believed me that it was vinegar and soda that worked as the rising agents” in the depression era / wacky cake, reminded me of my favorite chocolate cake. No one ever believed it contained a cup of Best Foods mayonnaise ;)

Whew, caught up! Time to snooze.
