@pridesabtch I feel for you, you have such a lot on. I'm the same with stress, major stress I don't eat, but "normal" stress I'll probably overeat.
@Bex953172 I hear you with the weather! Bad timing to get caught on the school run. It's the same in Scotland, rain rain and more rain. Next week is looking better, we need to be patient a bit longer lol.
@Snowflake1968 Can't believe you've done your first day in the classroom already, how quickly the time goes by! How did your feet hold up, with all the standing and walking?
I haven't been logging the last few days, just being lazy. Still coughing (thank you grandson!) I know I haven't been going over my maintenance limit though. Been busy having a clear out (again!(
JFT Tuesday 16th
THINK before I eat
No snacking (especially evening!)

Yesterday was ok. They are changing Tim's antibiotics again, and I need to learn a new technique for administering them later today. Sounds like it will be a little more intensive and take a little longer than the last set. I'm not afraid to give him the meds anymore though, and they gave him the new one yesterday at the infusion center so I know he won't react to it negatively. That is a huge bonus.
Not much planned today other than work. Will probably go to the grocery and pick up stuff for dinner.

@littleblackskirt - my foot is killing me. I ordered some compression socks a few minutes ago. I also confirmed the dress code today and will be wearing runners tomorrow.
I’m not sure how I’ll feel about this, leggings, jeans and sweatshirts are the main outfits being worn. I don’t think I’ve ever dressed so casual and gone to work.
Those grandchildren sure like to spread their germs.
@cschmitz110515 - it’s nice to get out for lunch with friends.
@pridesabtch - I hope this new antibiotic works for Tim, at least they’re trying to keep an eye on it.
I got my second day in today, I’m hoping tomorrow will be better. I was wanting to work with junior high kids but I think I’ll go towards elementary. We’ll see they might be even worse when I get there. I may graduate and go back to office management. 😂 at least with adult management you can speak more freely and give consequences if necessary.

@Snowflake1968 I'm sorry your feet are still painful. It's amazing how much sore feet affect your life. My osteopath says a lot of plantar faciitis is caused by tight calf muscles, are you stretching your legs? I can't remember if it's been mentioned before.
Yesterday we went for a walk, and when we were out I got a new pain in my foot, on the joint of my big toe. It was really painful and I had to limp all the way home trying not to bend my foot. Still not good today. My sister in law called in and was describing her aches and pains and how they affect her life. All the same things which are bothering me...the thing is, she's 80, almost 20 years older than me!
So I'm recommitting today, the only thing I can think of to help my body is lose weight and do exercises.littleblackskirt wrote: »

Last minute Birthday get together for my niece yesterday, so there was no grocery shopping. To be transparent, I had cake and ice cream for dinner.
Tim's new treatment takes more time and is more involved that the previous and for some reason I am really bothered by administering it. Like anything, I'm sure I'll get used to it, but for now I just cry thinking about it. Then Tim feels bad that I'm upset. I had to take him to the infusion center this morning for blood work, which is normal for us, but I still sat and cried. I'm a mess for no real reason. I really don't have time for this crud. After work, I'll give him his treatment then we can head out to trivia. Trivia is usually a fun night, so hopefully that will lessen my anxiety a bit. I'll probably shoot pool this evening while we play trivia. It gives me something to do other than drink, and since Tim can't drive not drinking is a must.

Not new to MFP - but newly focused and looking for support. I've not used the discussion / groups feature in the past, so I'm just figuring this out. My goals include moving away from yo-yo dieting and emotional eating to a more sustainable approach, get to a healthy and sustainable weight.3

Welcome! This group is about little goals that turn into habits, or sometimes big goals that we need to ease into, or maybe just a place to feel at peace and be among friends. In other words it is many things and there are no rules other than kindness.

Took me forever to find my last post .. on page 50. I am gettting so down.. just can't shake this cold. Its settled in my lungs, so not much lung power. This week I am at least moving around more, so I am going to try and go to the gym today with hubby, and at least try and walk slowly on the treadmill, hoping to break this. This is going on over 2 weeks. Hindsite, I should have gone to the doctor, but I figured it was just a cold that had to run its course. I did test for covid, and its not covid.
My weight should be down, but its up because I am literally just laying around all day long. But ... plan is to get over this.
Yesterday was our 47th anniversary. I just made us a big pot of spaghetti. Tonite we are going to go out to eat, so it will be nice to at least get out. I think you have a good reason to feel like a mess! What's going on isn't exactly small. He's had some serious operations which require more care than you both probably realised! And it's hard to adapt to that change at first! But as with everything else you find a way through!
Don't be so hard on yourself! You're both doing better than you think given the circumstances!!
I hope you enjoy trivia3 -
I haven't weighed myself since the start date of the 5lb challenge! Not sure what the scales gonna show when I do! But I thought I might aswell do it soon as it's not long until May!
However, I do have a NSV!
Ive always had to buy a size 14-16 which is a Large in UK sizes. Especially on the bottom half of my body.
I can now officially say I'm a size 12-14 in tops AND bottoms! Yay! So a Medium now ))))
My biggest flaw at the minute is biscuits. Can't stop eating them 😩😩

Because of the time I arrive, I'll only have one each supper, breakfast and lunch at their house, but I doubt I'll log food, since I never know what it will be. I'll keep portions in check. See everyone in a few days!
5# Challenge (ends May 1):SW 184 on 3/18/24
3/23/24 = 182.5 most likely sodium/water drop plus keeping portions proper
3/30/24 = 182 working hard to clean house & prep food for Easter dinner, no dog walks for one week due to that & weather
4/6/24 = 184 too many Easter treats & too few dog walks due to nasty weather
4/12/24 = 182 still some Easter treats, but more dog walks too
Challenge Goal 179

2024 Goals:1) Ultimate goal weight 150#... I'll be thrilled if I can get back down to 160# this year- Post weekly weigh-in on MFP for accountability. - Take measurements & log on MFP every month end
- Try new recipes Unfortunately, no wall oven until mid-Feb or later & sad me, but try slow cooker & stove recipes... wall oven installed 2/26 but no new recipes yet.
* lentil rice sausage tortellini soup ~ very good, recipe is keeper
* glazed lemon cookies ~ everyone loved them at Easter dinner

@Bex953172 Congrats on your new, smaller size! I too have a bigger lower half, much to my own dismay.
@pridesabtch Hang in there! Hugs for you and Tim.
@mytime6630 Sorry you are still under the weather. Hope it gets better soon.

@littleblackskirt - I have been stretching my calves, probably not often enough though.
It seems everyday I find a new pain. I’m like you, I know if I could get in shape that it would help a lot. It’s so hard to get in shape when you’re in pain though. It’s a vicious cycle.
@pridesabtch - hugs to you.
@mytime6630 - that sounds like a cold that turned into pneumonia. I hope you’re healing well.
@cschmitz110515 - have a nice visit with your parents.

Hour commitment - After I finish my cabbage/chicken salad, I won't eat again until after 5 pm. None of the same foods at dinner as at lunch. Can still have my ice and dose of metamusal.0

Yesterday was better than Tuesday. Today is better than yesterday. I'm starting to adjust to the new normal that isn't very normal. Didn't even cry when I did Tim's infusion yesterday. It does however take almost twice as long as the directions claim.
Not much on the agenda today other than meetings and more meetings. Then I'll go to mom's to sort her bills. I offered to take her shopping this evening, but she didn't bother to reply to my message so I made other plans. I sent the message Monday. There is no way she didn't see it. The bitter part of me wants to tell her that she obviously doesn't need a phone if she doesn't know how to use it, but I'm not that person. Well, internally I have thoughts, but I work really hard not to act on them.

Good morning! I’ve been trying to get caught up reading past posts but then iit ends up too late to post my own goals, so I’m jumping on with a few goals for today, and I’ll catch up as I can. I can only read for a short period of time before I get a migraine-type aura since finishing chemo so it’s really cutting into screen time. I hope everyone is doing well!
Just For Thursday, 4/18:
1. Make a food plan for today. 😊 Done
2. 64 oz water before 6 pm
3. Dr appointment
4. Close 2 activity rings on watch
5. Log every bite. Close Food Diary at end of day.
6. Walmart Rx pick-up
7. Evening routine.
2024: Today, I choose peace over worry. I’m grateful for this beautiful brand new day! ☀️🌷🪻🪺🪴2 -
