I haven’t been here in a bit. Just see glimpses of a 5 lb challenge. I would like to join and lose 3 lbs by May 1, what ever the scale number is, haven’t weighted in awhile. Happy Friday!

    Recap 4/11 R ~ cloudy & rain showers
    1) Make homemade spaghetti for supper / no snacks / log all food / 64+ oz. water :s ok at meals, but TOO much snacking ~ ack!
    2) At least 7,500 steps
    3) Grocery shopping / wash dishes / read / digital declutter / other? defrost 2 loaves zucchini apple bread, rearrange freezers  ta-da!

    JFT 4/12 F
    1) Log all food / limit snacking / 64+ oz. water
    2) Walked dog 3.66 mi  very windy this morning, even windier this afternoon, so I'm happy dog walk is done & happy dog
    3) Put away clean dishes / slice & package bread for tomorrow's rally breakfast / final prep for rally stuff / call Mom & arrange next overnight visit / text sister / read / digital declutter / go to bed EARLY so alarm isn't such a jolt / other?

Tomorrow is spring rally for Women in Missions, and it's our turn to host at our church for the district/zone/whatever. I've never been to one before, but the agenda looks very good; our choir director, whom I love, is the guest speaker. I'm handling the registration table with one other lady, something I've lots of experience with from another org, so I'm ok with that. But due to the Father/Daughter Dance tonight, we can't do any set-up until tomorrow a.m. and K has asked us to arrive 7 a.m. (ugh) to decorate tables (which thankfully, the dads have said they will set up after the dance for us), set out breakfast foods and prep luncheon foods. Hopefully the zone pres will arrive early enough with the sign-in checklists (I liked it better when I had control of that stuff). In the end, I'm sure everything will work out. Because the food will be so much guesswork for me, I've decided I won't log food tomorrow, but will do my best to eat appropriate portions. Not sure if I'll feel much like walking dog when I finally get home in the early or mid-afternoon (not sure how much work to do after lunch, I'm still learning).

    5# Challenge (ends May 1):
    SW 184 on 3/18/24
3/23/24 = 182.5 most likely sodium/water drop plus keeping portions proper
3/30/24 = 182 working hard to clean house & prep food for Easter dinner, no dog walks for one week due to that & weather
4/6/24 = 184 too many Easter treats & too few dog walks due to nasty weather

Me and ash started exercising again
We had about a 5 day break. My legs are sore again lol!
Yesterday I managed to rein in the snacking.

I still had some snacks but wayyyyy less than I was.
Had a crazy moment last week where I just couldn't stop!

Need to look up some healthy snacks that I'll actually want 😂

Hour commitment - I won’t eat again until after 12 pm.

After I can do stuff normally, I’ll reintroduce some of my other good habits, but right now I’m doing well with these. One that needs to come back is waiting until a reasonable hour for my coffee. Caregiver was giving it to me way early and I’m still having it early right now.

I took a break the last week. My best friend was here, it was also my last week of classes before my practicum starts.
I haven’t had to wear any of my work clothes since last May and I was concerned that I wouldn’t have anything that fit me.
Tuesday evening Cheryle and I watched The Voice while I went through my clothes and I was so surprised that every thing fit and some of it was looser than I remember!

Tomorrow I’ll do a weigh in again, for the first time in a long, long time I didn’t weigh myself daily for the last week.

    JFT - Sun Apr 14
    1.5L of water
    Log all food
    Move 20 Minutes
    Weight for 5# challenge

I hope I have missed anything important. I’m a bit behind with reading posts. I have been working on improving my sleeping pattern and am shutting down my tech early each night.

    💗 Terri 💗

Working on getting back to the middle of my weight range. (130 < x < 140) I’m using weekly mini goal as weight fluctuates from day to day.

3 lbs challenge: (weigh less on 24th March than I did on 17th)
    17/3: 137.8
    24/3: 137,6 (0.2 down 👌🏻)
25/3: 137.5 (Weigh less on 31st March than I did on the 24th)
31/3: 136.7 it’s been up and down for the last few days. But reasonably happy so far. Back to my pre-Christmas weight, but will go for the last 1lb.
1/4: 136.5 (Weigh less on 8th than on 1st April)
    4/4: 136.5
7/4: 137.1 (Maybe my body is trying to tell me something 😝)(weigh less on the 14th fingers crossed 🤞)
    14/4: 136.9.

💡Being more mindful on portions, and snacks, Eating just a small portion of my exercise calories.
💡Sticking to my Solid Habits, and being mindful of over snacking.

Yesterday's spring rally for Women in Missions went well, with a few (personal) irritants for me during the registration, but nothing too bad. I had to remind myself that most of the ladies were "older" and they had good hearts. I even arrived a few minutes past 7 a.m. as requested; helped that of the five traffic lights between home and church, four still were flashing yellow at that time of day, and there was very little traffic. Plenty of time to help with set-up. I didn't eat any of the breakfast foods there b/c I'd eaten my overnight oats at home first, which is very filling, so yay me. I ate a bit extra at lunch b/c by then I was starving, but not horrible. Nothing logged, as planned. When I got home just after 2:00, after driving K to her house on the opposite side of the city, I was exhausted. Such an early hour start & dealing with so many people just drained me. I am truly an introvert at heart. So I had a wonderful nap, and totally missed the gorgeous spring day outside. Oh well.

Today after church, hubby and I went out for brunch at a local restaurant. That was buffet style, and I ate limited portions, but I'm not going to log today either. It is another beautiful spring day, so I plan to take advantage.

    JFT 4/14 Sunday
    1) Church 9:00
    2) Brunch out with hubby after church (not logging food today) / eat sensibly rest of day / 64+ oz. water
    3) Walk dog
    4) Set up rain barrels / wash dishes / read / digital declutter / other?

    5# Challenge (ends May 1):
    SW 184 on 3/18/24
3/23/24 = 182.5 most likely sodium/water drop plus keeping portions proper
3/30/24 = 182 working hard to clean house & prep food for Easter dinner, no dog walks for one week due to that & weather
4/6/24 = 184 too many Easter treats & too few dog walks due to nasty weather

The weather is atrocious here in the UK.
The kids have just gone back to school today. They've had two weeks off and it didn't rain on 3 days of those 2 weeks.

It was raining a bit this morning but had stopped by the time we had to leave the house for the school run.
As we stepped out Casey said "why's that cloud so black over there?"
So I said we best get the brollies as it had also started spitting.

By the time we got to the end of the road (I'm talking 20 seconds) Casey's brolly flipped inside out and broke and for how much she loves that umbrella she took it pretty well!!

The rain started getting harder so I opened up mine. Managed to get round the corner with all the kids huddled under it when the clouds unleashed hail. I could feel the wind under my brolly and I had to give up and close it and we all ran to the bus shelter.

So we waited until it subsided a little. Atleast the hail and we all just had to walk and get drenched.
The sky's dark at 9am in the morning, the rain is lashing the windows really loud.

I hate this weather. I've finally decided... Spring is my least favourite season. April showers my @$$!!!

Haven't been diligent about weighing like I was the first few weeks of the challenge. My stress levels are lower so I'm stress eating rather than having no appetite. Weird, super stressed = not eating, but moderate stress triggers binges. Sigh...

Either way it was a good weekend. I got to spend some time with my girls. V came in from college for the weekend and Sierra's rowing team had a race close to home. We set out a big spread for the rowing team for lunch. They loved it and devoured it. There was enough that after eating lunch, most girls fixed a "to go" container for the road. It made me happy. It was a great day weather wise Saturday, a bit windy but temperate. The team raced well, and coach was pleased with their efforts (that is not always the case). Sierra was in all 3 races. She rowed in the 1V8 & the 1V4, and coxed the Novice 4. Because we were getting and setting up lunch, we only got to see the finish of the 1V4, but the smiles from the other races were enough.

Sunday we went to church where I got some VBS jobs to do. Creating things like a submarine and a whale that kids can enter. No easy task, but I like that sort of thing. Challenging and creative. Then we went to a Bingo fundraiser. Didn't win any games, but I won a raffle. It was just nice supporting the High School Crew team that meant so much to Sierra. Saw lots of old friends.

Today is a day of tasks. Work tasks, medical tasks and home tasks.

    JFT Monday

    - Work by 8:00 :(
    - Approve time cards

    - Back to work
    - Home by 5:00
    - Trivia?
    - Home by 10:00
    - Shower
    - Bed by 11:00
