Hello April 🌱! I’m Kat, 32, 5’1”. SW (Feb.): 122.6 Lost so far: 7 lbs UGW: ~105
I’m still struggling to find what works for me so my goal this month is to focus on exercise.

4/01: 115.6 Tonight I’m going to reset my Ring Fit game and start from scratch.
4/02: 115.8 I haven’t participated in any of the work potlucks since I started this journey (well I bring food but don’t eat any) so I decided to have some sweets yesterday and probably some today too. I don’t feel bad about it since my other choices are still healthy and we all need balance and joy. I really didn’t want to exercise, but I pushed through and did a couple levels of Ring Fit. Tonight I have a gardening webinar right after work, but I may be able to do some light exercise while I’m listening.3 -

I have developed a yucky cold 🤒 and it is already affecting my weight loss... up 1.2 pounds. Need to come up with a gluten free version of chicken noodle soup. I always crave canned Campbell's soup when I'm sick. (Throwback to my childhood; chicken noodle soup, saltine crackers, and 7-up.) At least I stayed strong and didn't give in to my craving for the crackers and 7-up.

I found MFP in March, and this group in April. ⚖️ Lose 2% of my body weight - changing my goal this month, my 4 pounds per month is getting really difficult now that I almost to my goal weight - but still am going to try to get that 4 pounds!

April 1: 152.8 👣 📝 🥗 🫀💦📖 I love the beginning of a new month. Feels like a fresh new start; a clean slate. I have noticed a pattern in my weight loss. I do fantastic the first week of every month, then I kind of get lazy and for two weeks and the weight loss slows. Then I see the end of the month coming; and Yikes - only one week to finish my goals. I usually finish out the month strong. This month I'm hoping to skip that laziness in the middle of the month. Keep me to it!
April 2: 152.4 😁👣 📝 💪 💦📖🧂 I added a new goal to my monthly, I will post whether I was under my daily sodium goal. It has huge affect on my daily weight flucuations, so if I am accountable for it, maybe I won't abuse it so much. Had a good night with Mom at bingo, she won (always a good thing), and I won twice last night. Had a brownie - put me over my calorie limit.

I'm getting lax about logging my food, so I need to get back to that. During the week I eat almost the same thing every day- same breakfast, 2 different lunch choices and about 3-4 typical dinners. It's lazy, but it's the easiest way to make sure I'm staying in my "lane". But the habit of logging my food is really important, so today I'll start up again.4 -

Played pickleball outdoors for the first time. It is a different game dealing with the sun, wind, temp and cement surface. Harder on my leg joints but still great exercise for balance and mobility. 04/02-180.6-(Trend Weight 180.9)- This is my weight about 36 hours after the all-you-can-eat Easter buffet dinner. One lb up which I can handle. Today I’ll push water and focus on eating properly. I’ll need to space my meals out so I don’t overdue any night time snacks. Plan, plan, plan.
04/03-181.4-(Trend Weight 180.9)- I went out to dinner locally with my son last night. I had waited too long to eat and suddenly had a sugar drop in the restaurant. I had the special: grilled chicken breast in a parmesan sauce (similar to alfredo) over rice mixed with spinach and mushrooms. I ate the rice which is a no-no but definitely my body craved it to get the carbs to pull me out of my state. I also ate the slice of garlic toast that came with it. I drank plenty of water at the restaurant but probably not enough for the rest of the evening. Today I will try a day of redemption but I will make sure I eat a little something earlier to avoid a glucose issue. I hadn’t had an incident in over a month so that was a disappointment.

4/03: 116.4 Oof! Yesterday was just under 1200 cals so this might be bloat from the cupcake I ate. I felt so sick all day after! So I learned my lesson to only have a little sugar. No exercise, but the gardening webinar was really good. I also got into the Hogwarts challenge in Slytherin and I’m really excited! External motivation and structure will do me good. I even ordered a pedometer watch so I can participate in the step challenges.2 -

April 4: 151.6 151.6 👣 📝 💪 💦📖🧂 Busy day ahead today. We have to bring the car in for it's oil change. Then off to Sams Club for shopping. Then the grocery store to pick up all that we need for our Easter celebration this weekend. It's going to be rainy (and snow) day today, so inside walks and a HIIT workout are on the schedule. Then tonight going to a fundraiser for the Women's club/Firehouse. Hoping I won't binge too much.

04/02-180.6-(Trend Weight 180.9)-
04/03-181.4-(Trend Weight 180.9)- I went out to dinner locally with my son last night. I had waited too long to eat and suddenly had a sugar drop in the restaurant. I had the special: grilled chicken breast in a parmesan sauce (similar to alfredo) over rice mixed with spinach and mushrooms. I ate the rice which is a no-no but definitely my body craved it to get the carbs to pull me out of my state. I also ate the slice of garlic toast that came with it. I drank plenty of water at the restaurant but probably not enough for the rest of the evening. Today I will try a day of redemption but I will make sure I eat a little something earlier to avoid a glucose issue. I hadn’t had an incident in over a month so that was a disappointment.
04/04-181.2-(Trend Weight 181.0)- I’m honestly shocked that the scale didn’t go down more. I had such an excellent day yesterday of following all the “rules and routines” of my diet and exercise. Not enough water and no TMI today but I still expected to see a bigger drop as my swings on the scale are usually dramatic. I guess I’ll practice the character trait of patience today. In other thoughts, will winter ever end in Michigan USA?
