Hello, just a news flash. I've been hear about big changes MFP is going to implement this month, it may not impact anyone here, but just in case.
I see a couple of days ago they posted the actual announcement of their plans.

I think you were just expressing normally pre-race jitters. It sounds like a beautiful event, and family there with you too.
Come off being sick, and a niggling foot concern, you rocked it. Very inspiring.
Thanks Chris! I'm glad you had so much confidence in me!! I knew I'd be able to finish but I really wasn't sure how the back half was going to feel. I have never been one of those people that shows up to a race underprepared. This was a first for me, and coming off of illness I didn't know what to expect.
I am feeling more tired today than I usually do after a half, especially one where I wasn't racing all out. We went for a hike this morning, and I think I'm probably going to otherwise take it pretty easy today. Do a little strolling about the shops after lunch and sitting on the balcony looking at the lake.

Yep, sounds like you were right there. I'm glad you made it home ok. Do you ever take the salt tabs during your run? I started mixing them in during anything over 5 miles during our brutal summer last year and it made a huge difference. I take 1 at mile 1.5 then every mile after that. Our weather has been so bad already. I'm bracing for a truly miserable summer.

c210k this evening; week 4, with 5 min run/ 3 min walk intervals x4. Those 5-minute intervals are tough which is incredibly humbling, and I realise how much I took fitness for granted before all the injuries started piling up.
Was feeling quite run down last week, but hoping it's temporary - and today's run was definitely easier than on Saturday, so fingers crossed.6 -
Neighborhood 1Mile (at 13"52 pace). 27 day streak. Back to work tomorrow and heading toward the end if this month.8

Hi everyone!
I got in 11.5km this morning. My legs are still a bit sore from the 5K on Sunday.
I've now met my monthly goal of 162.2/160km.
There were lots of slugs out again today, but luckily only during the ca. 4km that I was in the forest.6 -

Woohoo! So I expected this for a while (well for years, really) but it looks like my thyroid meds were too low again, and when that happens I can't run anymore. Increased dosage a week ago and running is getting better again. Now need to convince my gp to describe a higher dosage 😅7 -

I don't know if it could have possibly been more unpleasant this morning. It was 81°F, feels like 88°F with 94% humidity. It was foggy and the air felt really thick and hard to breath and I felt really slow. It is usually more pleasant that that at 6 in the morning, even when it is hot. I ran 5.25 miles to make my goal for May. We are supposed to have thunderstorms the rest of this week, so I'm not sure if I will make it out again.
@martaindale Those hiking photos are gorgeous!

It's getting so bad for other people, I'm not getting as much pleasure in my weather-brags. Good luck ya'll.
(In San Diego it's going to be violently whipping between 57 °F and 67 °F (14 °C and 19 °C) all week. May Gray/June Gloom season here.)4 -
Neighborhood 1Mile (at 13"15 pace). 28 day streak.
Half my monthly goal is met: 28 days of running. If I keep at it I should be able to hit the distance part too.

Such a nice morning here in Tennessee to get out for a run. Temp was 54F at 5:00 am and it started getting daylight before we finished. With today’s run, I made my monthly goal.
Glad you are feeling better @tarun_yadavA.
@kgirlhart – those are some steamy temperatures you are having. Stay safe out there.
Beautiful pictures @martaindale. That sky!
Glad you are ok @summerskier and good to see you posting. I’ve missed you!

I'm home from my trip and am 4+ pages behind. I'll work on catching up a little at a time and will do more "liking" than commenting....probably. I know you are all doing great!
@shanaber That steak was really good. We tried to find a locally unique-ish place to eat every day. That was fun.
@tarun_yadavA I got the "dig" about the dates. I wonder why we are different on that. You did great getting out for a run even after a night of indulgence. Exactly how do you pronounce "Aluminium?" a-lum-i-ni-um? Of course, we don't spell it the same - no second i. Congrats on meeting your monthly goal already. You are going to make 200 miles, which is awesome. "I'm lying in bed being 'pathetic' as my wife put it on the phone to my (retired Doc) mum." Hahahaha Love it.
Love the race pictures @kgirlhart ! The guy behind you looks like he is having a great time.

What a difference a day makes! It was not storming when I got up this morning as had been forecast. And it was a lovely 68°F feels like 69°F. It was still 94% humidity, but it wasn't as oppressive as it was yesterday and I really enjoyed the run today. It was dark when I started out, but light when I got home. There were lots of puddles. We had storms last night. I didn't see any damage, but we did have almost 2 inches of rain. At one point I was coming down a street that has lots of potholes at the edge of the road and they were filled with water. There was a pickup coming towards me and he actually stopped and waited for me to pass so I didn't have to run in the potholes, and then continued on his way. Sometimes it is nice to live in a small town.
@teresa502 Your weather sounds lovely. I just love running early in the morning as the sun is rising.
Thanks @quilteryoyo The man behind me in the picture was the overall masters male winner. The young man behind him is his son. I could hear them talking and the son was asking him about when he had met his mom and some dance contests that they had entered. It was so sweet and I was thinking what a great memory for the two of them to have. I'm glad you are back from your trip and hope you had a great time.
