@martaindale That's a beautiful view from your pre-race hotel window! What a great place for a race. So glad that it went well and it didn't aggravate the PF. I LOVE the medal! Beautiful pictures from your hike. I hope you recover quickly from the race.
@AlphaHowls I'm glad you stayed safe during the storms. Sorry about the damage to the trees.
Great running @kgirlhart . Happy belated birthday to your DH and I hope you enjoyed visiting with your friends. That sounds like a brutal run yesterday. Good for you for getting it done. Glad today's run was better! What a nice thing for the guy to wait until you passed so you didn't have to get in the puddles. TBH, I thought you were going to say he splashed you on purpose. I'm glad I was wrong! I love that the man was running with his son and they were having such a sweet conversation. Great memories for both of them.
Welcome @steviebee888 ! I sort of use the Galloway method too. I usually do a run/walk, but I'm not a stickler about the amount of time that I run and walk. Congrats on running a HM in all 50 states. I would love to do that. (Or maybe a shorter distance.)
Great job getting in your run on the beach after a huge birthday party @chris_in_cal !
@Laurz9191 A 5K in under 26 minutes is nothing to sneeze at. You did great.
@SummerSkier I'm glad you didn't have heat stroke. I hate to say this, but I think that the heat does bother us more as we get older....esp. when we aren't really acclimated yet. I had an issue during the tennis tournament and that has NEVER happened to me before. Crazy.
You're doing great @josefinejem !
@yirara I hope you can get your meds straightened out and you feel better soon.
Great job making your goal already @Teresa502 . I was surprised that is was cooler here this morning than it was the entire time I was in Michigan.
I think I am all caught up with your awesomeness. I will try to post about all of my adventures sometime tomorrow. I didn't have time today. We got home late yesterday, so I didn't go get Tippy until this morning. After we got home, I did do a 2 mile wun on the driveway before unpacking and doing all of the post vacation things.
When they brought Tippy out from the back at the boarders, she ran right past me and straight for the door. Once I got her in the car, she gave me a good talking to. I'm not sure if she was cursing me out for being gone so long, or telling me how happy she was that I was back.6 -

Hi everyone!
Lots of rain here today and with all the slugs about, I decided to go to the gym. I wasn’t all too motivated, as lunch time isn’t really my favourite time to run, but I did an hour on the treadmill and ran 9.1km, followed by some strength training. Even though it’s been rainy all week, it’s quite stuffy and humid outside, so it’s not all that pleasant- although nothing along the Texas standpoint to complain about! Tomorrow is supposed to be wet as well.
179.4/160km for May!
@quilteryoyo Welcome home!
@tarun_yadavA One more run for those 200 miles! Awesome!!!4 -
Thanks for setting up June @AlphaHowls .
Thanks @Teresa502 .
Thanks @Laurz9191 . I wouldn't want to run with all of the slugs you talk about either. I hope they go away soon and the weather improves for you.
Great running @yirara !

After some errands this morning, I did a two mile wun on the driveway. Avg pace was 14:58 min/mile. Avg HR was 120 with a max of 148 bpm. Then, tonight, we started our summer ladies round robin tennis. We had 3 courts of doubles tonight. We play a set to 6 games, don't have to win by two. Then, we switch partners and opponents. It was fun. We had some new young ladies join us...like still in HS on the HS team young.
My teams scores were 6-5, 3-6, 6-3.

I got out for 6 miles today. It was a little warmer than yesterday, but not as hot as Tuesday. I had a nice run. When I first came out I could see the moon peeking through the clouds. It was pretty and the sky cleared some while I was out. It was light when I got home. I saw skunk, but he never saw me. And less than mile from home there were some loose dogs. They seemed nice enough and they followed me home. I guess they got out of their yard last night during the storms. I'm not sure where they belong. They were gone by the time I left to go to work.
I'm not sure if I am done for May or not. I may run tomorrow if the weather is good. Thanks for setting up June @AlphaHowls .5 -

I ran the neighborhood this morning. I think my car has died. It is a 2002 PT Cruiser. I really loved that old car.

Congratulations @tarun_yadavA ! You did great this month, esp with the birthday celebrations thrown in there. I miss @Scott6255 too and wish him well. Maybe he'll come back one day.
Very nice running @emptydog . Sorry about your car. I hope you find another one that you like just as well. I need to start looking for one myself, but just hate car shopping.

@quilteryoyo @chris_in_cal thank you both! ☺️☺️2

Congrats @tarun_yadavA !!! What a great month you had!
Also congrats @chris_in_cal for keeping your streak!
I really wanted to bail on my run this morning and ended up putting it off until lunch time. Then I figured, @tarun_yadavA has to run 12km today and I would be happy with 6km- ie. don’t be a wimp- get it done. So I did and it was actually quite good weather compared to this morning’s rainy ick. I know I always feel fine once I start going. Usually whenever I am struggling with motivation, as soon as I start running I’m fine. It’s just getting out of the car and into the first minutes of running. I ran 7.2km.

I finished up the month with 83.72 miles. I thought about running this morning. The weather was beautiful and perfect for it. I'm hiking on the AT this weekend though with several big mountains on the plan for tomorrow so I decided to save my legs for that.
Congratulations to everyone for getting out there and moving this month! On to June!4
