Two glasses of wine the last two nights. I finished the Cupcake low alcohol Sauvignon Blanc, and didn’t love it either. So, back to their lighthearted Pinot Grigio.its the best of their options IMHO. Still like the Decoy low alcohol sauv. Blanc the best. Glad I tried other alternatives.

Tonight was going to be an A night. Hubby saw an add for a wine bar with a game night and 1/2 off bottles of wine on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I think it’ll be fun, but my neck started spasming this morning. I haven’t been able to get relief. Staying home and being a baby for the night.

@NonnieDoiron ...was your body telling you that the alcohol/game night was not right for you ?? Sorry for your pain, but maybe it was for the best ?? 😳
Not having been led down the path of "low alcohol" wine, I'm sceptical because of the additional calories...and for me, any alcohol leads me to over eating. Just give me a good Chianti, some cheese & cured meats & focaccia. The resulting weight gain is expected, and on me. Imbibing a LA wine, thinking it will not lead to the same results is a lie I'm telling myself. And without the same satisfaction. Still no A since ED left for the Southland. NA beer & Indian cuisine is working. [BTW, where is our Houston buddy ? If you are lurking, please pop up with an update or some photos, please.]
Fawn season in Da'Burgh, and once more a doe has used my yard as her personal spa area. Nibbling on early drop little green apples, clearing the berries off my mulberry trees [ Hey biotch, I waited all year for those !! ] and munching on ivy....then settling down in a shaded area for an afternoon nap. This year she brought not two, but just one little fawn last week. Obviously baby deer bring joy just by watching them. Since the baby was way too small to jump my high fence I guess it was birthed in my yard, perhaps in the section of my yard that SIL leaves wild, and is not visible from my windows. Ah, the wonders of living in the big city...LOL !!!
    Aloha, @MissMay , welcome back .

All 5 "surprise kittens" that were waiting for Eldest daughter on her return to Louisiana have found a Mississippi home as "barn cats" with her cousin/ my niece. The blue-eyed white one [who may be deaf] is designated as a house cat.
Now to housebreak the rescue German Shepard mix puppy.
Thank goodness cats just need a box of sawdust, or we would all just keep goldfish.....🐠

@forestdweller1 - love your wonderful share on your sweet returning doe! Your green apples, berries, and ivy seem to be her sustenance this summer. I envision a special wonderland! Glad kitties all have new homes.

My summer gardens are lovely this year - I don’t have as many tomato plants as last year, but enough. The nine zucchini plants are producing quite a lot of this wonderful fresh vegetable. Have made zucchini muffins, stuffed Italian squash, and freshly steamed so far. And, I’m loving my new raised bed planters my DH built for me. I will send a pic once all the annuals, and perennials are in place—my project for this morning! Will bring in new bark for the backyard at the end of July to finish up our backyard refresh project.

Was successful with my 40 minute walk and 25 minute strength training session with weights yesterday. Easing back into exercise. It felt great! On repeat today.

Hello LESS Alcohol family. Here it is the last Saturday of June (again....how is that possible already?)

Last night my husband kept trying to get me to partake and be his drinking buddy while we were out. NOPE was not happening I told him I used all my drink tokens in Hawaii and was dry for now until???
How great Budweiser Zero tastes on an 86 degree night out.

BTW- here is the link to our JULY 2024 LESS Alcohol Thread
Check in anytime, see you over there.

Your stats are truly inspiring @tmbg1 - I would love to hear what is the most helpful thing you do to achieve so many AF days!

@forestdweller1 you’re probably right. It was better that we stayed home.

This is the 2nd time I’ve had muscle spasms that have put me out of commission. The first was my entire back, and that had me on the couch for over a week and popping flexiril like tictacs! My doctor diagnosed it as stress-induced muscle spasms. With all that’s been happening lately, it doesn’t surprise me if that’s what caused this neck spasm. Fortunately, it is almost gone. Still a small twinge at the base of my neck, but that will hopefully be gone tomorrow.

My diet and exercise have been crap the past couple of weeks, too, which probably didn’t help. I need to get back to it, and stop screwing around!

    You guys ROCK...

Thanks for sticking with the group through June. There is ALWAYS opportunity to improve and refine your LESS drinking skills next month. So don't feel defeated if June went a little sideways for you.

    Posting my June accountability:
9 Alcohol days- 16 standard drinks total
    21 No alcohol days

I knew I was going to have drinks on our 12 days of vacation.
Good thing is I stuck to my no more than 2 drink daily limit and only standard size drinks. I also drank many of the local tropical cocktails with the alcohol removed.
What I did not stick to was breaking my no consecutive days drinks in a row rule.
As Meatloaf would sing "Two out of three ain't bad"

With 16 consecutive NA days under my belt right now since June 14 I am feeling really great.
