Oh dear. Sounds like your Hubby has a plan. If you don’t like the beef offered by store is there a farm you can buy from directly.
I had a steak last night and cooking a roast tonight. My son is here for the weekend to hunt but I don’t think the weather is going to cooperate.
I stuck to my plan with food yesterday. The scale is starting to go down again. I’m still 10 lbs over my lowest so November was not kind to my mental and waistline health.

The beginning of a new month. Since November was a complete write off for me food wise, causing a 10 lb weight gain. So I am re-committing to my lifestyle plan and getting back on the wagon.

Nov. 30th, meals & sleep
My food was under calories and on plan. I was pleased when the scale this AM was down a pound when I weighed in. So my December is starting out at 224 lbs. which is 10 lbs. higher than I started November. I’m just thankful I didn’t go completely off the rails for more that a month.
The CBN oil is really working for me. I’m getting much better sleep and falling asleep sleep so much easier.

My ride yesterday got cut short when I got the news that my mom was taken back to the ER… Long story short, my son went to sit with her Saturday afternoon; she still has a urinary tract infection fortunately no evidence of a stroke. She will be hospitalized for another day or two while they give her IV antibiotics, but the challenge will be getting her placed in skilled nursing care which may mean returning her to the facility where she used to live?
Gotta rest up & get recharged for a busy week all the way around.0 -

December 1st. Meals and sleep.
My meals were under calories. My son has gone home again until he goes hunting again.
Sleep was good. Much better than I expected.

Thanks - while mom is feeling much better (it’s amazing what the appropriate antibiotics will do for you!), I’m not sleeping well or eating well and I’m living proof of what your body under stress will do (up another 3 lbs)
Took me forever to get to sleep last night & I didn’t sleep well - only 41 minutes of deep sleep, are you kidding me?
So I’m trying to recharge with coffee & three little dogs this morning - at least Abby (my mom‘s little Minpin) has not been too stressed out in my hectic household

December 2nd. Meals & Sleep
Yesterday’s meals were under calories and has allowed my weight to drop more. Maybe if I’m lucky and really strict I can get to the weight of 214 quickly, which was my lowest weight, and then start to lose more before December ends. My goal for this month is not only to get back to eating on plan but to be at my next goal weight of 205 by the end of the year.
Now sleep on the other hand last night came in 3 segments. None of which were very deep

I didn’t even bother to look at last night’s sleep - I feel better this morning than I did yesterday, probably got a bit more deep & REM sleep, but still tossed & turned a bit after an initial (exhausted) “nap” period. (Couldn’t stand the suspense - had to investigate! & yep, I got 1 hr 17 min of deep sleep, about twice as well as I did Mon night!)
Let’s not dwell on “diet” or “exercise” - but I am doing a brief AM yoga routine which helps get the kinks out…

December 3rd. Meals & Sleep
Last nights sleep sucked. Nothing worked to help me sleep. Hence the hours. Food was good until early this am. Around 5 or 6 am I still hadn’t fallen asleep yet so I came downstairs and grabbed some of my xmas chocolate.

My body does weird things - even though my diet was far from ideal (I had a couple of tacos for lunch yesterday; when I tried to go by my favorite Chinese place to get hot & sour soup, they were closed) - this morning my body had decided to release a couple of pounds so I’m back to 191?!?
Even with the high-stress circumstances of getting my mom released from the hospital and settled back in her AL facility - I am making calls & sending texts this morning to try to line her up extra nursing care… this is it! if she winds up in the ER again, I am going to have to transfer her to a different full-care facility. I hate that she won’t be able to keep her a little dog with her, but Abby actually doesn’t do too badly in my hectic household.
Remarkably enough I’m not sleeping too badly - maybe that is the secret??

December 4th. Meals & Sleep
Sleep was fabulous. It wasn’t sold sleep but it was an awesome sleep
Food was ok but not ideal1 -
Tina Fea pulled another mini-hunger strike, this time with bloody diarrhea… This lil’ dog is breaking my heart, but I threw some more pharmaceuticals at her - she slept through the night, didn’t have any diarrhea and ate this morning. I’ll repeat her bloodwork tomorrow and try to see where we stand, which seems to be on quicksand?!?
Canceled my riding plans since it’s been cold, rainy, & drizzly off & on all weekend. Hubby & I slogged through the mud and managed to put out a round bale for the ponies yesterday which was my crowning achievement. Ugh!
But this morning I’ve got dogs in my lap & dogs on the couch, so it’s not too bad but I’ve got to get moving shortly.

I’ve been slacking on my reports. I know I did one yesterday but I don’t think I hit the post button.
Dec. 5th. Was a good sleep but not much else.
Dec 6th sleep was good even though it came later than I like
Dec 7th last night sleep was not great. Took forever me to fall asleep. Once asleep it was not great either. Not enough deep sleep.
Food has not been great. Too many Christmas treats0 -
Sleep has been fairly good; diet continues to be fairly crappy but I’m holding steady at 192.
I rechecked Tina Fea’s bloodwork and her liver values are a little bit worse, but she’s back on the upswing with a good appetite & normal BM’s so I am adding medication to her arsenal and we’ll keep trudging onwards…
I found a link to the snake oil my husband‘s been peddling - I’m inclined to just stick myself in the rump with a B12 injection since I trust medication in a syringe far more than any homeopathic drops in a bottle! No wonder he didn’t wanna talk to me about it.

B 12 is excellent for energy. It comes from red meat the most. I take a vitamin B complex. It has them all since there are several B vitamins. I take a 50 mg pill of the complex time released so I get a bit all day. If I need to pump up my energy for something specific I take a 1200 mg vitamin B12 supplement. It’s fast acting and gives me about 4 hrs of increased energy. I had a girlfriend once that was taking classes and she said she always got tired on the way home and was afraid she might fall asleep at the wheel. So I got her B12 vitamins 250 mg and she would take one during her afternoon class break which was about an hour and a half before school got out and it would give her enough energy to drive home which was 45 to 60 minutes away.
Now the B12 shots can be done weekly monthly maybe even daily, but I think a doctor has to prescribe them and then you would go in and have the shots done when necessary. Or I guess in your case, you could give it to yourself in the *kitten*0 -
Dec. 9th.
Sleep sucked food sucked. My sleep shows that I got an hour and 22 minutes, which is false that hour and 22 minutes was my least restless time in bed. Insomnia was just awful. Nothing worked.

Sunday was prime roast day. It’s the only thing I ate all day long I think but Sunday’s sleep was better than last nights for sure

Ugh, I sympathize on the crappy sleep - as soon as I said something about my own sleep being decent, Monday night was restless; last night I dozed deeply right before my alarm went off which made it hard to peel myself off the mattress…
And it isn’t as if I keep on complaining about the cold, anything is going to happen! I just have to put on my layers and try not to get chilled in the first place - if I do, it takes me hours to warm up!!! Lil’ lap dogs do help 💕
This was Monday night - look how long it took me to fall asleep! & 15 min of deep sleep, are ya kidding?!?

Dec. 10th. Meals and sleep
My eating sucked yesterday. Not being able to sleep at all makes eating sucky.
Last nights sleep was the best. I didn’t get up to pee at all till morning then I think I slept again for an hour or so. But I got almost 3 hrs of deep sleep. No wonder I feel so good today. I just wish I would fall asleep sooner than I do. My life goal at this point to fall asleep at a good hour.
Now that I slept 12 hrs I wonder how well tonight’s sleep will go1 -
I was shocked & amazed (in a good way) to see my weight at 190 even this morning! I did sleep fairly well last night, but my diet has been marginal. Far too much fast food ingested while running up & down the road, but I guess in the end it is all about the calories??
Tina Fea is also doing very well - she’s actually slightly constipated; she yelped when she had a BM this morning which sent me running upstairs! Oops, it’s a tiny dog turd 😜😂 - what a specimen she is!!!0 -
I’m glad to hear Tina Fea is doing better. Yay about the scale. It is about the calories and you can have fast food just make wise decisions. Lately I have been on a ‘don’t feel like cooking’ jag so I’ve been eating frozen Healthy Choice meals. I like 2 kinds that are low in calories and carbs. I like the Beef Merlot but I don’t eat or use the sauce that comes with it. I heat mine on the stove. I don’t have a microwave. I also love the chicken & broccoli Alfredo sauce but again I don’t eat the sauce. Both are filling when you eat 2 at a time.
Dec. 11th. Sleep & Meals
So yesterday was good food wise. I ate frozen entrees because I didn’t feel like cooking. I’m doing it again today. . It took me hours to fall asleep. I slept well once I did but I want to fall asleep sooner. I have to figure out how to get my body to be tired by midnight. I prefer 10 pm but I would settle for midnight if I can get 8 hrs uninterrupted.

Whelp, we went to our block Christmas party last night: ate some snacks, drank A beer, so of course my weight is up 2 pounds this morning…
My sleep was better, but I had a horrendous nightmare: took my truck to the shop, they presented me with an invoice for $230 K!?! I don’t know where my subconscious came up with that figure, but I told the guy that was enough to buy 4 new trucks.
That nightmare hit me about 2 AM

Dec. 12th, Meals & Sleep
Food was under calories but was filling. I also had 2 or 3 alcoholic beverages yesterday too. My weight was respectable considering the alcohol. My favourite Xmas drink is Tia Maria and milk. But bc I can’t have dairy I’m using unsweetened almond milk. So it doesn’t upset my stomach. Although my allergies act up and I end up with heartburn too, it’s only for Xmas season.
Sleep on the other hand was not as good as I would have liked. My sleep score was 84 I have no idea how they thought my sleep dissevered that with only 50 minutes of deep sleep. The dogs scratching kept waking me after I finally went to sleep.

Yep, it was weird how that figure got stuck in my subconscious?
I bought a 3-pack of ribeyes at Costco which looked fairly decent; I froze 2 & threw one on the grill, but the propane cylinder ran out so it was even more rare than what **I** usually like, and it had a fair amount of gristle. Disappointing even at what today is a sale price of $12.99/lb.
I’ve been watching Jacques Pepin cooking shows all night on PBS; he’s cooking with his granddaughter & I remember how much my grandma loved JP!0 -
And I’ll sometimes buy TV dinners for horse camping trips - thanks for reminding me of beef Merlot; I like that variety! I’m not a fan of most of the frozen poultry options…
But last night, I just heated up on Eckrich sausage link so of course this morning my weight is up 1 lb. As soon as I finish my coffee I need to finish straightening up so my cousin’s eyes don’t pop out of his head when he & his wife come to visit tomorrow. I’m spaying their new rescued semi-feral dog but that’s another story for my blog… Tina Fea is eating like a horse; the new medication seems to be helping!
Friday night’s sleep was pretty good; I haven’t downloaded last night - it was similar although I lounged around in bed since it’s a gray rainy morning.

I love PBS shows. Jacques use to do a show that was all about chocolate at one time. I watched it when I was younger. I love the show Finding Your Roots. I love hearing about the family histories of anyone. It’s also cool to see if they are cousins with other celebrities.1

Food has been really good lately. I have bought any cakey, cookie, gooey stuff lately.
Sleep was pretty good I’m still not falling asleep as soon as I would like but I’m getting enough I guess.
