Food yesterday was great. Sleep sucked again. 46 min of deep sleep. My REM was over an hour. Too much light sleep. I need to figure out what I have differently to get more deep sleep. lrlc16ly9hmj.png

Today’s food will be simple. I’ve had 2 cheese sticks this morning to take a couple of Aleve. That was my Brunch but ate at 9:30 am instead of noon. I’m cooking a top Blade beef roast for today’s supper. I’m cooking it slow for 3 hrs. I hope that is enough time to get it tender. Nascar on this afternoon to keep me company. Will be reading too.

Tammy, I’m glad you found us. Val and I have been at this since I discovered the feed was gone. The only thing I miss the most it the auto posts of how many days we have been here: 3850 days for me, and the auto post of weight lost: 12.5 lbs with 92 left to lose. I also miss reading about my friend’s success's. I hope you post often and tell us your stories of successes and challenges. We are all the same.

Things did not go exactly as planned for my long-awaited horse camp weekend (I was supposed to work a day/ride a day) - the 3rd vet whom the ride manager had lined up to work got rear-ended by a dump truck driver who wasn’t paying attention. Thankfully she was not hauling horses - she was bringing her trailer to serve as her RV but no doubt it is totaled, & I’m sure she’ll be feeling the effects of whiplash injury over this next week. So that meant I had to work both days and didn’t get to ride at all - disappointing, but at least we didn’t have any truck or trailer difficulties ourselves, & Tony got to ride yesterday. Everyone was thrilled to see him “back in the game” - Tony rode with me as a teenager five or six years ago, dropped out for a while but is ready to get back into it… I’ll post more of a blog entry when I get a chance.

I’m not sure why my sleep sucks lately.

Weight is down some after my binge eating last week. Food was good yesterday.

After last weekend spent eating from the food truck, my weight is up 2 lbs, sitting at 193. Ugh, but even worse is the shortness of breath which seems aggravated in this cold weather. I have to go back to my dermatologist to get a little basal cell carcinoma carved off my collarbone, but he wants to send me to a specialist to finish excising the other one on my neck. I’m gonna tell him when I see him that I could care less about any scarring - I just wanna get it off there! I keep absent-mindedly scratching at it and making it bleed…
Still catching up on laundry, thank God my housekeeper is coming today! She canceled out last week because of the bad weather.

I’ve been holding steady at 220. Yesterday food was good but it was low in calories if I have my numbers right.

Sleep was better. Over an hr of deep sleep in under the 6 hr I slept. 13ez8fz7n62w.png

Ha ha that’s cute! What we have on our rides are trot-outs, & I’ve always said I would love to train one of mine to do the trot-out by themselves (The rider dismounts & is leading the horse; we make lots of jokes about it’s a very good thing we don’t have to judge riders for soundness!) I’ll try to find a video…
Fairly decent sleep last night - at least dear little Tina Fea didn’t throw up in my bed! I think she overloaded her tiny little stomach Monday night. She has now decided that her special food is worth eating again, while I indulged in a pizza last night after a long hard day at work so my weight is up a pound…

Here is a video from our Tevis ride in California, which is every serious endurance rider’s crown jewel - But the first veterinarian in the cowboy hat is my old friend & colleague Jim Baldwin, how I miss him!

I can’t imagine I will ever have the strength & stamina to attempt this ride again - my ex-husband did it in 1997 on our wonderful boy Wynkhy; I went back in Y2K, but my gelding was lame coming off the trailer - I leased a mule & made 55 miles before I missed the cut off time. Amazing trails & unforgettable scenery!

Food was awful yesterday. I had barbeque chips and dip for brunch. The shrimp, 2 donuts and chocolate chip cookies for supper. All this led to a sucky night of sleep fbsbjipsa9hi.png

Sleep. Oh how wonderful it is when your CBN oil works. 10 hr sleep with almost 3 hrs of deep sleep. I don’t think I moved all night. I got up around 4 am to pee but was able to fall back to sleep quickly. jnafnovjwems.png
Food was soso. I had Healthy Gourmet frozen dinners. I tried 2 different ones that each had noodles in them. Too many carbs. I like them too. They were good so I may have to add them to my rotation and figure out a way to eat them without all the noodles that came with them.

Noodles can go to the dogs, can’t they?? Dominic loves it when I get a sausage kolache since I eat the sausage & save him the bread!

Intermittent fast/OMAD yesterday (which was a steak/salad/few bites of baked potato) & my weight is back down to 191.
Spent yesterday afternoon back at the dermatologist, getting a basal cell carcinoma carved off my lower neck so I felt I deserved a reward. He wants me to see a specialist in Dallas for the one on my upper neck which is another basal cell carcinoma, removed several years ago which has grown back. (This reminds me to schedule that appointment)
Late getting out of the gate this morning since all 3 little dogs were snuggled with me in bed! Pretty decent sleep: a little over an hour deep sleep, 1 hr 45 min REM. Ran out to the feed store & stopped for gas station coffee since I was starting to get a headache.

Question, is there a way to respond to a particular post? I wanted to say, my sleep is not quite where I'd like it either. However, that's being said, it doesn't help that I have a 4:55 check in! And I have to drive for half about hour to get to work. What state do you live in? I hail from Oregon, central Oregon in a small town. Our town has doubled in population last few years. Up to 20,000! Well, I'm your long time friend on MFP, a re-tread if you will. Feels good to be back on here. I was forced to pay for the premium to get the features I need ha ha but there was a sale thank goodness. I've tried a lot of different trackers and diets, but MFP is the only thing that's EVER worked for me. I lost 40 pound using this 10 years ago! Now I need to lose about 10-15 pounds. I like watching my macros every day. It's almost a game trying to meet those. I miss looking at everyone's food diaries even though I mostly kept mine private! I liked getting ideas on what to eat. Sorry your horse camp didn't work out, glad no one was seriously injured! Happy logging!

Wow Tammy. That is freaking early. No there is no way to reply to specific posts. You just comment. In the comments you can separate them for the individual person.

Well I’m Laura. I’m 60 this year I’m from Ontario Canada. As far as I know you can still see your friend’s food diaries if they are public but you have to go through their profiles. The worst part of not having a newsfeed is you have know idea what your friends are up to if you don’t actually go looking.

Val is a vet and lives in Texas.

Die-hard tracking always seems to backfire for me - “You’re not the boss of me!!!”
I’m going to concentrate on high protein/low carb, but it’s always worked better from a motivational standpoint for ME to track my exercise (really demoralizing for me these days since I’m starting from “less than zero”, completely deconditioned, flabby & weak!)
Still wallowing around with light yoga, but I did a few squats last night. Energy levels are low - I attended another funeral visitation for a good client/adoptive grandfather of my office mgr last night - poor Doyle’s wife passed away rather suddenly after a stroke 3.5 mos ago & it seems he died of a broken heart! He didn’t answer his phone - his son went to check on him & he had passed away in his sleep. Guess that’s the way to go at 87…
And I’m still flogging my “Spark Journey” blog which is where I do most of my venting:

    Day 3867 Weight 223

Food yesterday was at 95% good. 1wxb5b1iw3kt.png

Sleep was excellent. I fell asleep at a reasonable hour. I woke up at a reasonable hour and got two hours and 30 minutes of deep sleep.i6ot8hbsen9x.jpeg

Friday night sleep “Fair” - scored a 76 (Ha! didn’t feel like a passable score to me) but I managed to struggle through our trail workday, as we are trying to get our local trails reopened.
Just got off the phone with my son who thinks we won’t have “anything” so why bother with trail work? I am worried too, but I don’t think that obsessive anxiety will help the situation. I told him we have to concentrate on the things that are within our control, so right now I’m gonna go hitch the trailer & get in a short ride with my friends.

Tina Fea does like Blue Bell! Finished off a pint I had portioned out - I remember the bad ol’ days when a pint for me was a single serving 😳

Val. I loved Blue Bell chocolate chip ice cream. When I was pregnant for my son, David bluebell ice cream was available in Canada and I ate a lot and I mean a lot of chocolate chip ice cream when I was pregnant. I haven’t tasted chocolate chip ice cream that good since.

Thrilled to see the scales reading 189.6 this morning. All that hiking around in the woods must’ve done something - my Fitbit gave me credit for 3 mi Saturday & I rode 10 mi on Mr. Silas yesterday.
Now if I can just hold to the straight & narrow path & not indulge in junk food, this next step in my journey might “stick”!!!
Sleep was only “fair” once again but hopefully things will get better…

    Day 3858. Weight 222

Val, that is awesome. Keep up the good work. You can do this. I wear my Fitbit on my ankle so I get a more accurate read. Like for example if you wear your Fitbit while grocery shopping, your hands aren’t moving because they’re pushing the cart but your feet are walking so you don’t get an accurate read on how many steps you took cause your hands didn’t move.

Yesterday was a good day. My food was on point but under calories. Nascar was a good race. Sleep didn’t come as quickly as it did Saturday night but I still got 8 hrs and over an hour of deep sleep. 5rwkc275q7nx.pngxbf0q8lb646k.jpeg

The only pregnancy craving I succumbed to was stopping for a pint of chocolate milk most mornings - for some reason those little individually packaged portions tasted better than anything I could mix up at home! Sure wish I could duplicate the caloric burn of lactation - I lost 20 pounds those first eight weeks, never had success like that before or after…
I slept a little better last night even though thunderstorms came tearing through about 2 AM. Ponies are all soaking wet this morning but nobody seems chilled or uncomfortable. Slept a little bit better but I had a bizarre dream about my cousin Joe - he was raising dairy goats, had a sick mama; I palpated her to find a catastrophic laceration in her uterus. Where does my subconscious come up with this? (Joe had a conventional dairy back in the day - he doesn’t have much use for goats!)
