    FUDGE FUDGE FUDGE!!!!!

Just imagine that being a different word. I typed out a long explanation of my Sunday and I accidentally deleted it. I wish The ‘save draft’ was automatic.

So let’s try this again. I might shorten the details.

Since Z is going away you could call to check in with V tomorrow. It’s a small thing but she might appreciate you checking on her with Z gone. By the way, if anything I suggest is out of hand or too much of a busy body please let me know. I can communicate without giving advice.

I love the plaque. Did you get one for your first 25 ride?

I had an idea for your Fitbit. You could try turning your phone off and on then try syncing. Or you can try deleting the app and reinstalling it before trying to sync it again. I have done both before when my app wouldn’t sync with my Fitbit. Felicia can’t seem to get her Fitbit to charge when on the charger so we might both get one if they go on sale.

The carpenter that I have working for me was here today. His name is Marcel. So while Marcel was here today, he put in the new hood above the stove. He also put a ceiling fan/light at the top of the stairs. There was already a fan there but no light on it. And at night if there’s no light on in one of the rooms, the top of the stairs is pretty flipping dark. So now they’ll have a light that can be controlled by a remote. The original fan was hardwired into the house and had no switch on the wall. It had the pull switch though. We also determined that where a plug once was has dead wires in it. And I suggested we use the wires from the electric baseboard to put it in that spot so we can have a plug there. Did any of that make sense? Because it does in my head, but I also live in this house. Marcel and I figured out that this weird socket, that is on a wall in the master bedroom near where the air conditioner shoot is, has power to it and there is no breaker for it that we could find on the electrical panels. So I’ll be calling the electrician tomorrow. I want that disconnect.

Tomorrow Marcel is coming back to install an electrical socket for a light in the pantry that will have a motion sensor switch. He is also going to use the wiring for a baseboards I had removed to wire up a plug outlet under the book shelf above the counter. This will a not the best part currently but you will get the idea. The red circle 🔴 is where I want the plug to go.

    IMG_3658.jpeg

Underneath this counter is where the baseboard was and where the wiring cap is for that baseboard

    IMG_3657.jpeg

2 hrs of sleep is wrong. I am sure I slept better than that. I feel like I slept better than that. I woke at 6:30 am to pee which is shows but it doesn’t show anything before 5:07 am. I’m sure I fell asleep before midnight. My Fitbit is all charged up so that isn’t the problem. I’ve had this one for a while. I don’t think they last as long as a watch. I’ll see how tonight goes.

Here is a legend for the people I talk about:

    Ben - Floor guy

    John - brother in law/handyman

    Marcel - carpenter

    Davey - my son

Felicia - roommate, dates my son on & off, raise Nathan together.

Nathan - stepson to David, my step grandson

Chris - Davey’s dad, my ex

    Dylan - adopted nephew

    Shyann - adopted niece

Esche - biological brother to Dylan & Shyann

Tammi - sister, wife to John, mom to Shy & Dylan

    I think that is everyone.

    Oh and the dogs:

    IMG_3663.jpeg

SHAMIE - Left, short for Shamrock, Cane Corso cross

    Davey - middle

CHEWIE - Right, short for Chewbacca, Shepard cross

Grizz - short for Griswold, boxer crossed with something. I might do a DNA test on him to see what all is there

Funny, I rarely recall you mentioning yr sister 😂🤣

But Grizz looks like he’s got some mastiff bloodlines, what a handsome fella 🥰. Tonight I brought home Dude** who is Dominic‘s brother - everyone is all upset, especially Winston who is already at the bottom of the pecking order & does not want anyone stepping on him! ** his mama was my good client, she died after a long lingering period of decline. Didn’t help that she smoked like a chimney - I need to bathe Dude because he’s still stinky! But that wasn’t happening today, ‘cuz it sure was a Manic Monday…

No offense, but was your house somebody’s DIY project? It’s making the hair on the back of my neck stand up when you describe these wiring problems. Really like your tea collection - mine are all crammed into a dark pantry shelf. I need to re-organize it. Another project that won’t happen tonight - I’m putting my feet up & watching the Cowboys game! They finally woke up in the second quarter & started acting like a professional football team - if they were to lose to the Raiders it would be shameful.

7-yr old Dominic is my OG

His brother Dude is the same chocolate color, the lighting is poor & iPad camera ain’t the best

Another crappy picture of Winston, the 10-year-old shepherd mix I brought home a couple of wks ago when his daddy had to move into assisted living - he is still very anxious & follows me around nervously like he thinks this can’t last. That’s Tulip, 3-yr old Pyrenees mix behind him.

Yes, this puts us at 10 dogs, but I had a chance to visit with one of my riding buddies last weekend- she’s gonna stop by next weekend when she’s on her way back from the Oklahoma ride (I can’t go because my cousin is hosting early Thanksgiving) & she may try out Mr Corey, the husky mix who belonged to my deceased former receptionist Tamara

So, thanks for the techie tip, I’ll try it! For some reason the iPad blurped & gave me this extra “box” so I’d better fill it up with a few letters of the alphabet 😜😉

No, I don’t talk much about her. My sister has always been a bit of a snob. I don’t go out of my way too much for her. I figure she’ll contact me when she feels like she needs to be a good sister. Today she texted and told me that she can’t afford to buy me anything which I never asked her for so she wants to offer me organization skills and organize my pantry or something. Or help me unpack.

I find this offer amusing because she has said before I moved here that she was afraid of me dogs. There’s no reason to be, but she is. So I can’t understand why she suddenly wants to come over when I have the same dogs that she was afraid of +1.

I have a brother too. I don’t talk about him either. He’s in Windsor last I heard. Homeless, broke, all of it of his own doing. He’s used the hospitality and kindness of so many of his friends and family that he doesn’t have anymore unless he makes new ones that don’t know he is a user and a manipulator and think he’s extremely entitled.

Marcel and Ben were here today. All the sub floor has been laid out. Tomorrow Ben will be installing the flooring. Today Marcel finished the book shelf. It needed a second sanding and then shellacked. Then he installed an electrical switch and light fixture in the pantry. He sanded and then stained and first shellacking to the dryer stand. Next week I hope he can finish off the Kitchen jobs. Which are; the building a spice rack for above the stove, replace a section of counter with a wider counter to allow for seating at counter. He is also going to build me a door to put in between the kitchen and dining room. That way we can shut the door and keep the dogs out of the dining and living areas or lock them into those areas. He is also going to cut a hole into the cupboard to create a door into the corner of this cupboard that you cannot access from the kitchen side. All of this makes sense in my head if you get it I’m glad if you don’t don’t worry about it. I’m hoping that once the floors are done I can start bringing in boxes for me to unload.

I slept so badly last night it didn’t register on my Bit. I’m sure you can tell. I’m typing ng to at 2 am. I don’t take anything for me to sleep tonight’s got except for my melatonin spray

Yippee!! That reset trick worked; you can now see my crappy sleep data as well! FitBit gave me a 71 “Fair”, but it felt as though it took me longer to get to sleep (I was still a little hyped up from the Cowboys game - thank goodness they won or I would’ve been embarrassed!), nor do I think I slept much after 5 AM? I need to just start getting my butt out of bed, but ugh!!! Hopefully I’ll do better tonight… I’ll go to bed earlier so if nothing else I will get a little extra relaxation time.

Minor drama today after P let the dogs out at 4 AM & Dude wandered off. Fortunately he has his collar & tags, so our neighbor half a mile up the road called the clinic this afternoon - he had wandered into her yard, thank goodness! So I was able to send P to go get him - he locked him in the horse trailer until I got home (as instructed). I found out when I got home that Winston may have been the Bad Boy who drove Dude away - when I brought him into the house, Winston growled & lunged for his throat! So now he’s in the bathroom 🤦‍♀️ (Dude that is - Winston is glued to my side, saying “This is MY mama!”) I wanted to feed Dude separately anyway.

OK, an uneventful night although I should’ve taken my (freshly washed) blanket back upstairs - I was a little bit cold.

Winston is settling down & Dude is settling in - this morning he did a “Dominic nuzzle”, these boys like to put their nosey-nose on you! It’s very endearing 😊. I have very few pictures of Dominic because usually he wants to be all up in my business!
I’m fasting today, bloated up 3 lbs thanks to Tex-Mex & succumbing to the allure of a pizza last night - I was so tired, I couldn’t even face heating up a Lean Cuisine! This afternoon’s errand needs to be a trip to the grocery store.

Dog drama. I understand that completely. Poor Grizz doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body. Shamie has a bad hip and has a tendency to snap and growl if he is touched while laying down. He does it to me to if my foot or leg touches him when he is not expecting it and he does that ‘warning’ growl. We had an incident here yesterday. Grizz just wanted to get on my bed and startled Shamie. Once Grizz got on the bed he curled up next to me and then Shamie is looking at him, ‘wait that is not your spot’ and crawled up and pushed Grizz out of the spot nicely though.

The floors are done. I have moved some of the furniture that Felicia and I could handle. We are in no rush for the other stuff. Felicia and I can always try to move things around today. She had to work yesterday afternoon.

Weight 222 this am after a wonderful 9 hrs of sleep. I slept so bad the night before last that I fell asleep pretty early last night. 8:30 pm early. I awoke once to pee around 2:30 and fell back to sleep until just before 8 am. Over 2 hrs of REM and an hour of deep sleep. It was a good sleep. I feel rested. I hope I can do it again tonight.

    IMG_3688.jpeg

I must say now that the floors are done I feel calmer. Maybe that will help me sleep too.

    Have a wonderful day today.

Meal wise. I’ve been staring my morning with tea and raw walnut halves. During the floors, I would have to find something I could grab and bring to my room. I had a bag of walnuts in the fridge. I grabbed the brought it to my room. I use a snack cup from Tupperware for my when I take them I put them all in the snack cup. So I filled a snack cup with my breakfast. I’m almost out of so I’m gonna have to get some more has been working for me. I also might switch it once I find my pumpkin in my almonds.

For supper I have been eating a various combination of frozen dinners from healthy choice steamers. I just don’t use their sauce. I think all the calories are in the sauce so I just heat up in a frying pan with a little bit of water and steam everything. Today I’m gonna cook some chicken wings. I’ll just put some seasoning on the raw wings and cook them up that way.

I some how missed today’s post by you. I’m glad your dogs are settling in. Grizz and Chewie are becoming even better friends. Shamie is not likely to get buddy buddy with Grizz but I think he will slowly warm up to him as much as he is going to. He was never really close to my Ruby, a Dobe I had when I got Shamie. When Ruby passed I got Chewie about 4 months after. Those 2 have never been cuddly either. It’s kind cute watching Grizz and Chewie become real buddies. I imagine it’s cute watching Dominic and Winston becoming acquainted again.

I wish I could fast. I find if I go more than 16-18 hrs without eating I get nauseous. I think it has something to do with my old age because my sister mentioned having the same issue. Who knows it could be hereditary. I hope you feel better tomorrow. I’m surprised you didn’t get up and get the blanket. If I was cold I would go searching until I found something. I remember once I was sick(didn’t know it yet)and I kept waking up because I was cold. I would get up and find another blanket. I did this 3 times or so. It was the next day I realized I had a fever through the night and that was causing me to sweat then cool off. I think that was the last time I fasted too. I was ill for 3 days with some awful flu.

How did the fast go? Were you able to go 24 hrs?

Apparently I didn’t have enough battery juice to record my sleeping. I charged it all day. I also ordered a new one for both Felicia and I. Black Friday sale on Amazon. I got the Inspire 3. I wear mine on my ankle. Today was a day of running around and tomorrow will be much of the same.

Nah, I wasn’t going for a 24-hr fast, since I practically never eat breakfast these days. It wound up being about 18 hours since I met my friend Toni for an early dinner. Pretty easy for me to hit my OMAD target, even when I don’t make the best choices (we had enchiladas).

This morning I’m back to 194 - which seems to be “baseline” for me. I won’t get below 190 without more significant changes in my habits. And I stupidly fell down the staircase last night when I turned down it too early at 4 AM instead of going 5 ft farther to the bathroom door, so I’ve got my feet up in the recliner, gingerly rubbing my bruises (R hand, L upper side of forehead, then all down my L side: knee, ankle, foot!) I’m glad I don’t have any surgeries today because I don’t think I would have the manual dexterity to handle my instruments (I’m right-handed). I think I answered my own question - I was debating whether I was gonna try getting my mom out for our early Thanksgiving tomorrow at my cousin’s house. That answer is “no” since I’ll be lucky to get my cornbread dressing together & haul myself there! Last year mom was disoriented & confused, desperate for me to take her back as soon as we had finished eating…

Better go load up on my ibuprofen & get moving!

I am really glad I ordered the Fitbit's yesterday during a Black Friday special Inspire 3 bits went on sale to 40% off. That’s huge in 🇨🇦. I got one for Felicia too since hers won’t charge unless you baby it. I’m glad because I wore my Fitbit to bed. I fell asleep before midnight and the crazy bit I’m wearing says I slept for hour. It didn’t record any sleep until after I got up to pee. So I slept 6 hrs maybe before this thing says I did.

    IMG_3701.jpeg

The new bits will be here today so hopefully I get a better reading today.

Actually my cousin is hosting “our” Thanksgiving today (she took over hostessing duties in 2020, after my aunt died). That’s a complicated situation, since she & her husband are now separated - it is apparent they plan to stay legally married until they get the kids out of high school, even as R advertises his infidelity on social media. (I posted that photo of him with his side piece last summer in Cabo upthread) “Not my circus - not my monkeys!” although I remain available to her for moral & emotional support if she needs it.

I got my cornbread dressing together last night & am baking it in the oven this morning… I’m gonna see if I can fiddle around & make this thinly-sliced sweet potato “Tian” that looks like a good recipe - of course the secret is lots of butter! I’m still very stiff & sore and all bruised up from head to toe, but that’s what ibuprofen is for… Peran made sausage rolls which are awfully damn good, but I’m staying out of them this morning as I’ll fast until dinnertime. I’ve sent kitchen photos to Z & V - Z’s in on the big group text with all of my cousins so they know what’s what - if they get there, they get there. He’s a grown man now & I’m not gonna nag him like his social secretary.

I just realized your Thanksgiving is next Thursday. I don’t know why you’re thought it was this week.

Z called me shortly after we pulled out of our driveway yesterday on the way to Vanessa’s to tell us he & Victoria would not make it - Victoria had food poisoning, he was tasked w/nursemaiding duties. While I wanted to tell him she had no danger of foodborne illness coming to our gathering, I did not - I’m sure she wouldn’t have felt like bouncing around in the car, driving down to Waxahachie with an upset stomach.

It’s a shame because my cornbread dressing turned out perfectly - last year I overbaked it a little too much, it was a little dry. Unfortunately I did not have very many takers for my Indian-spiced sweet potatoes - I tried a new recipe, seasoned with cumin & coriander instead of mashed up in the traditional way with brown sugar & marshmallows. Here’s a funny for you: Vanessa had ordered two turkeys but was dismayed to find that they were not pre-carved, so dinner was delayed slightly while Cousin John & Peran got after it with their carving knives! So I didn’t eat very much turkey; we had ham, brisket & BBQ sausage so there was no shortage of protein.
I’m a little sad in the aftermath this morning, because I wound up at one of the side tables with Cousins Jim & Scott, Scott’s wife Jennifer, & Kevin (Cousin Mary’s husband). (I was not circulating much since I’m still kinda stove up!) We had very pleasant conversation, and I couldn’t help remembering how my mom always had a vociferous dislike for Kevin - I think she was projecting when she accused him of being cold & “rude” to her. Nor did we approve of his authoritative parenting methods - One tactic that stood out was if a child misbehaved at the dinner table, he or she had their chair taken away & had to stand for the rest of the meal.

Neither Jim nor John’s wives attended - no doubt Dee’s patience is stretched to the limit living with the in-laws, & Patti recently returned from a trip to Arizona to visit her parents. I hope they both enjoyed a nice day of solitude!

Cousin Ann is frail, reports failing vision & hearing so she no longer drives. Their sale of Aunt Sue’s house fell through with so many needed repairs, so she moved back in & lives in a very minimalistic style now - I’ve got to go up and “see it to believe it”!

The moving van was supposed to be delivering Cousin Gina’s furniture (she just moved back to Texas from California) - we made lots of jokes about all the young able-bodied men going to help unload, but they were delayed.

On Thanksgiving Day itself we will go over to Victoria‘s grandparents for lots more food & festivities! Another beautiful day here, so I’m gonna go get in a short ride.

Wow your family dinner sounds large. My goodness the amount of food. I laughed at the turkeys not being carved. Did she have them catered? Or did she buy the precooked? And if she did buy a pre-cooked, where do you get it pre-cooked. That’s not something I ever heard of here in Canada.

When I cook supper for Xmas I’m cooking prime rib or brisket.

My Fitbit record my sleep last night. Says I got an hr. I think the Bit on my ankle is not tight enough to get a proper pulse so I’ll tighten it and see how it goes. Tonight we will see. I need some lunch today. Don’t know what is for supper. I’ll figure out something.

I can’t wait to hear about thanksgiving with V’s grandparents. Will the other parents be there that are ‘not prizes’. I would really like to hear your take on her family.

Felicia’s mom is batsh@t crazy. Once her mother told Felicia that she should drop Nathan, her son off at an orphanage because he was such a handful with in hearing distance of Nathan. I thought Felicia was going to commit a grievous bodily harm. Instead they left and she will not talk to her. This is why I consider Felicia my daughter. I grew up with an alcoholic batsh@t crazy mother too so I know where she’s coming from so I’m trying to be the mother needs and the grandmother he needs.

V having food poisoning. I hope it’s mild. I once ate bad egg salad and ended up in the hospital on IV until the vomiting stopped. Then it was an entire day of the bad food coming from the other end before I could move again. 3 days of the worse feeling. It’s worse than having the flu. So I end sending healing juju to V. I feel for her. Let her know it will get better because she may feel like during right now.

This week I am getting seat covers for my Jeep. As you know with dogs it’s always best to cover everything. I’m also get ‘running boards’ or step ups. I don’t know what you call them but I like my seat in the Jeep high which makes it difficult to get in without an extra step so I’m always installing them on Tuesday. Be about 2 hrs. This is the first week in a long while that I have nothing pressing happening in my house.

This weekend has lil have to boys tear out the carpet at the top of the stairs in the hall out side the bathroom. I’m having new floors installed in the bathroom upstairs and the hallway. Nathan likes his red, faded in places, textured carpet. With his partial autism and ADHD I’m not surprised he doesn’t want to change anything in it. Felicia’s carpet just needs a good cleaning. She seems happy with it. She said if she wants to change her carpet she will pay for it. I’m said ok.

We had some excitement happen here the other week. Nathan accidentally overflowed the toilet. The previous owner had a cream colour rug in the open space of the floor. When we removed the rug to clean the floor we found the ‘peal&stick’ flooring had discoloured horrifically. No wonder she cover it. I’m using the same flooring as the main floor of the house. It might be a little dark for the bathroom but I think it will work. You know now that I’m thinking about the floor I might go lighter.
Dam I don’t k ow what to do now. I shouldn’t have talked out it.

I had one window panel of the patio door stain glass film installed like I did on the dining room. I now live on a corner in downtown of my town. So I have lots of traffic. Foot and motor and I want the curtains open but don’t want people to see into my home so I had window cling film installed that looks like church stained glass.

    IMG_3715.jpeg

The dining room. I cut out the chaos so you can’t see it

    IMG_3716.jpeg

The patio door panel. This window faces southwest.

    IMG_3718.jpeg

I have a sky light window. Felicia suggested we film it so it would be prettier the the blind because the sun is strong through the window. It faces southwest too at a higher level obviously.

Once Marcel has the kitchen finished I’ll post pictures of the kitchen if you’re interested. I know some people couldn’t care less about home improvements they never see or visit, so I’m ok with that. I didn’t take any Before pics so I have asked my realtor if I can have the ‘sales’ pictures of the house so I can use them in the before and after shots. It don’t occur to me at the time.

I hope your Sunday is uneventful and your cowboys Win.

My brand new Fitbit didn’t record any sleep even though my Fitbit is tighter and he captured my heart rate with no issues. So if not can record my sleep as heart rate, why can it record the sleep? So I deleted my bit app and am reinstalling it. I hope that helps. I’ll keep you posted.

I’m not sure where Vanessa ordered her turkeys? - last year I think she got them from Dickey‘s BBQ but their Waxahachie branch has been closed for remodeling. But yep, we probably had 40 people - our all-time high I believe was 63.

I like what you’ve done with your window treatments - it’s funny because my little farmhouse sits half a mile off the road, so we did not install any window coverings initially… When one of my cousins came to visit “way back when”, she asked, “Val, how close will the nearest neighbor need to be before you put up curtains?” We eventually put up some mini-blinds but after Peran & I got married, those cheap little fixtures were deteriorating & he wanted to put his own stamp on the place - we now have conventional full-size wooden blinds. Nothing fancy, but to me, a bunch of curtains & valances are just dust catchers (we’ve got enough dust around here, thank you very much!)

But today we’ve got raindrops & mud since our dry spell just broke. Something from Thanksgiving dinner gave me a minor stomach upset - thankfully I’m better this morning. I had given up on the Cowboys game after their disastrous first half (Eagles up 21-0) so I can’t believe their comeback, winning 24-21 on a last second field goal! I’ll have to look up the highlights since I had gone out to do other things…

I guess I “slept wrong” or else my post-falling-down-the-staircase soreness hit another peak this morning, but I am barely moving. My new FitBit, for whatever reason, seems to have a significant lag i transmitting its data - I can never look at the sleep data when I first get up, but if I check it 3 or 4 hrs later, there it is? It’s even doing the same thing with my step counter - I looked at it midday & it said I had like 47 steps, which is usually what happens overnight when I’ve made a trip to the bathroom! Then at 5 PM I had 4500 steps, more typical of my workday. I know the magic number is 10k steps, but until my injuries heal that ain’t gonna happen.
I stood on my vibration plate for 10 min last night just to try to shake things out - maybe that unearthed some new pockets of soreness?? In my self-pity, I had a cheeseburger for lunch so no wonder my weight is bumped up to 195.

I think the last update Fitbit did messed with the app somehow if your sleep isn’t working either on a new Fitbit.

    leanstrongsexy Posts: 578 Member

It’s the app not our fitbits. My sleep didn’t register again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’m trying to turn my Fitbit on and off to reset it but it hasn’t cooperated yet today.

I went over to the Techie board to see if anyone else was having these issues. Someone named Ronnie something or other had some suggestions.
So I shut my phone off/on. I have restarted my Fitbit. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. If none of these things work, I’ll call Fitbit next.

Geez, I just want things to WORK when I charge ‘em up, wear ‘em correctly & pull up the app!!! My new FitBit has a pO2 sensor which I know doesn’t take accurate measurements; it run 3-4% lower than my fingertip monitor which I believe to be accurate (right this minute the FitBit reads 92% while my fingertip monitor says 95%)

I was supposed to pick up Catie this afternoon but instead I drove all the way to Greenville and only came back with a home-smoked ham which Christina had bought for us… We met up at the quaint little pub which is about halfway between our houses - Catie had gone out riding & did not come back in time! She missed the boat, in other words 😳

It was great to see Christina, but as I wouldn’t have driven all the way to Greenville for a ham, even though it does smell fantastic. I’ll take it to Thanksgiving at Victoria‘s GPs tomorrow because Peran is not a big ham fan.

I’m tired from all that driving (about 2 hrs each way) so I’m going to go to bed early & get up early to do the rest of my side dish prep. The doggos were happy to see me! I stripped down the upstairs bedroom & changed the sheets in prep for Catie so I’ll try it downstairs for a little bit - if Peran starts snoring I’ll retreat back to my sanctuary!

So I restarted my Fitbit and it worked. I now have 3 sleep reading. I’m just pleased I have readings.

I ate ice cream yesterday and I’m suffering for it today.

My FitBit seems to be downloading my sleep data about 5 hrs after I get up - I got up at 7:30 this morning, sleep data popped up about 12:30. Go figure??

We went over to Victoria’s GPs for Thanksgiving; here’s our spread with Z in the background. The ham that Christina brought me is in the R-hand corner w/the pineapple slices… Andy (V’s grandfather) is escaping stage right 😁

I started last night “back in the marital bed”; doesn’t look too bad but it doesn’t feel as if I slept well at all - that longish awake interval at 5 AM was when I trudged upstairs for a couple of hrs of blessed peace n’ quiet. It isn’t as if P was loudly sawing logs, just intermittent rumbles that didn’t allow me to get beyond “light sleep”…

195 this AM (not too bad, considering yesterday’s Turkey Day feast!), but my mood is black, black, BLACK!!! matches up with Black Friday, huh??

Nevertheless, I’ve got to at least get by the feed store so my animals can continue to eat & I think I’ll take the untouched apple pie over to Heather (Twoie’s former owner) & her family. She was texting me yesterday to wish me Happy Thanksgiving & express how thankful she is that I have him & have given him a good job. There’s a little bit of holiday cheer - it does help somewhat!

I only got to watch a few minutes of the Cowboys game yesterday with my son before Z & V ran off to Lewisville to visit her mother - while I certainly understand (glad I’m not in that awkward young-adult phase, being stretched in so many different directions!), I was still a little disappointed. I mentioned perhaps meeting up for a meal or a movie today but I’m not going to press them.

Gotta get moving - I’m sure I’ll whine more later; thankfully I have some cheese to go with that! 😉
