    Happy Monday !

Today will be a weighted vest treadmill session with a leg strength training workout. Was going to get up early and get it done but I think I will do it during lunch instead.

Still under a heat advisory here , yesterday was 99 degrees , today 98 . For me , this is hot, but nothing compared to what other parts of the country are.

What does everyone like for electrolytes? I use Liquid IV sugar free option but always looking for other alternatives.

I was on the treadmill both days this weekend, and also did some aerobic activity with hand weights. While we did indulge this weekend, we didn't overdo it, which was nice.

@kellyswimmer Sending all the good vibes for your doggo. I hope the vet can figure out what's happening and get him on the right meds or treatment. I have been through the on-travel-pet-is-very-ill scenario, and it's so upsetting. I'm sorry you and the dog had to go through that. <3<3<3
@tmbg1 I totally understand. Lots of water to flush that out. Don't be shocked if Tuesday's number is a little high - it usually takes a couple of days for a big sodium bomb to even out on the scale.
@dannytrees1 Hang in there, you've done amazing this month! It's all good.
@canadamarie, you've got this. I see you've got the "T" noted too! :) I hope the health challenges settle for you.
@SofaKween I'm so glad you're sticking with the weights though. All of this extra work will eventually start to show up on the scale, despite what it says today. Hang in there.
@HappyDonkey75 I actually don't use anything for electrolytes. I don't know what to suggest. Interesting about the vitamin injection. I'm glad it helped a little bit.

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start.

Even though my scale is stuck…
With the little that I’ve lost this month, I have noticed some small changes.
1-my belt hole is gone back one notch.
2 I feel thinner on my thighs
3 my knees are definitely feeling some relief.
Keep going friends.. one day at a time.

Just an evening check in .
Third dose of my glp-1 medication today. Hope tomorrow isn't too bad with side effects.

Got my workout done mid day as planned. I almost talked myself out of it.. almost .. I won't lie, every minute of it kinda sucked but some days are like that. Tomorrow I won't get anything done as I am working half day then off to my knee appt which I really hoping for an answer on . (continued soreness and swelling)

I am excited to now be working with a coach for next three months to fine tune my fitness and nutrition. I look back at what I have accomplished and its pretty positive but I am afraid of getting stuck and gaining again . I am trying to be as proactive as possible to avoid that from happening.

I am noticing clothes fitting a bit better, not feeling like a stuffed sausage in my shirts is a nice perk. :) but still a long ways to go .

@dannytrees1 - you have lost alot in a short amount of time, it might just be your body adjusting. As I have been told repeatedly, patience...your body might need a bit of a break to reset..
Healthy weight loss is what I keep reminding myself (1-2 lbs a week) but it sure is nice to see consistency. It's a bitter pill to swallow when you go from dropping to gaining ..

@canadamarie - maintain is always better than gain! Hope your health issues get sorted out and you can get back on track.
@ManifestingToday - I have found that electrolytes really help me with workout recovery and just feeling better in general. I tend to sweat alot right now with workouts and it wipes me out. I find I bounce back easier with electrolytes after a hard workout. it just seems to keep everything in balance. Maybe its a placebo effect but whatever works!

Back at the weights gym this evening and found out we will be doing squat lifts. Only ever done these in the beginners introductory class and they were not easy even without any weights on the bar. On the bright side, means there's plenty of room for improvement.

@ManifestingToday - am on a month's trial with the weights gym - as many classes as I can fit in for the month at a 60% discount. Once my month's finished I need to think carefully about which membership I take out as it's not cheap.

No surprises there with the gain, health challenges will resolve, need to be patient. Just need to not use it as an excuse to eat a ton of junk. I once heard someone refer to junk food as β€œfood-like substances” and I love that, it really puts it into perspective that it’s not fuel, it’s not nutrients. I find it funny

Outlier - this is meds related, which is TMI so I won't go into it. :D But it shall normalize in the next couple of days. :) Yesterday was treadmill and low impact aerobics for 20 min.

You all are doing amazing. I'm consistently impressed with your progress. Thanks for being part of this thread, and helping each other see true progress and the highs/lows of it all. <3 Have a great Tuesday.

I'm committed to doing 10:14 intermitent fasting, to track my meals, and eating mindfully.

    Ultimate goal: 73 kg
Medium term goal: Stop looking like I'm pregnant

    July 22nd: DNW
    July 23rd: 94.1

@kellyswimmer hope your doggie gets better soon!!

@dannytrees1 one day at a time, progress is certain. I found an old pair of sweats that would not fit at all, and although they're tight.. They do go up! It's the small victories that keep us going.

I'm preparing for a short family trip. Have lots of things to do today 😊

July 23- 194.3- was stuck on a road trip today 4 .5 hours of driving. Feeling pretty bloated , which can be a side effect of the GLP meds but for food I stayed on target and hit my calorie and macro goals. Tomorrow will be a treadmill day

The knee pain is related to the cartilage degeneration I have that was not part of my surgery on the meniscus repair. That part feels good. So, the next step is that I have to get a Syncvisc injection which should help reduce the inflammation and the swelling and the stiffness and pain I am experiencing.
If anyone's curious , the injection is 'made from a gel-like mixture of hyaluronan, hylan A fluid, hylan B gel, and salt water. Hyaluronan is a natural substance that's found in the body, especially in joints, and is harvested from chicken combs. It basically mimics healthy joint fluid and acts as a cushion for the joint, which can help relieve knee pain and improve mobility.

I’m starting to shift my thinking from being end-goal oriented (eg. I want to lose x amount by a certain date) towards being β€œcurrent state” oriented. Meaning that I am focused on being in a current state of weight loss with the habits I have every day and if that is my current state then I am succeeding right now. I need to feel that I am in a current state of success, rather than postpone the celebration of success to a far away date. Weight loss is so slow in my case that if I wait to celebrate success when I get to an end goal, I will lose motivation long before I get there.
Thank you for reading my brain dump this morning haha.

@tmbg1 I hear you!! :D When I was younger, I'd just work out longer or harder for a few weeks and I could see immediate results. No longer so... Hang in there, you're seeing results, and the scale will eventually follow. <3

@SofaKween -- I'm so impressed with your commitment. Just know the woman next to you could have been on her 10th month of lifting, or used to lift and returning to it, etc. You'll get there too!

@HappyDonkey75 I've never heard of this type of injection, but that sounds very promising. I hope you will feel some relief. My last knee xrays showed cartilage degeneration as well (it's quite common). But not a word about, "and this is how we can help you", or "here are your options" -- just, this is normal wear and tear, welcome to your 50's. I'm glad your surgeon is looking at options to help you.

@AuroraUwU0 Short trips are fun! Enjoy the travel prep.

    Happy Wednesday, everyone!
