    7/5 134.0 It’s okay. Back on the “wagon” again. Result of party -very slight amount of adult beverages but both had sugar. Ate hot dog, burger (no buns) and 1.5” cube of cake (no icing). EMERGENCY MESSAGE FROM DD#1 at 5:35 (Woke me from a sound sleep) she needs a baby picture of herself! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️Too many distractions this morning. Temp will be 102 at 10am high of 114
    7/6 133.5 Recovering from 4th of July. Enjoying the ground feeding birds on the patio. The quail babies are growing. Four of them were waiting for seed when I got up late-7:30!

    7/11 130.5 My car battery seems to be dead - probably due to the intense heat. We have a lunch date today at The Dillinger in Boulder City with blind friend and his lady friend. My Garmin says it didn’t detect ANY sleep last night and that is exactly the way I feel! The battery in my car died and we’re using it to take friends and lunch. I know I was still awake after 1 and again at 3:42 and ever more. I want a nap but DH just said it was time to get ready to leave.🥱💤

    Donna, @deepwoodslady, yes it sure is difficult to get that low on carb intake. I decided to try to get through one week on the carnivore diet. Lol. That didn't work or maybe it would have if I'd taken it a little more seriously. Week 2, I'm taking it a little more seriously, but more along the path of ketovore/carnivore. So far, 2 days a week, I can eat meat, eggs and butter only, 2 meals a day. Then I want some sort of vegetable with the meat and I only eat once. Yesterday was the vegetable day. Today is meat only. Meat is beef, turkey, chicken, fish. Oh and Monday was 8g carbs. I left an electrolyte mix in my food diary that I didnt use.

    I had to go to the gym to walk on the treadmill due to HnH weather, I much prefer outdoors. Sensible calories despite dinner out but with a glass of wine which always seems to show up on the scale.

I stayed on task, controlled my snacks, stayed will within my macros and limits, exercised, incorporated extra movement (a lot less retirement sitting). Overall, it was a much improved and on-point day. It didn’t even seem difficult. Why can’t everyday be like yesterday? Or can it? Nah, probably not. However, when it lays itself out like that I’ve got to learn to run with it, embrace it. Fingers crossed for another one today. I really need to string a few together as my trend weight is still not convinced.

    07/12 -DNW- (Trend weightDNW) No weigh Friday today as usual. However, I can feel the gain. Foodie daughter is here for the weekend again Thursday until Sunday evening about 7 pm with DGS which I will babysit. I made them dinner last night of “normal food” (not in my personal plan) which I also ate. She brought in her tote bags (yes, plural) full of sharing-snacks which I clearly did not have to eat, but did eat (some). I stayed away from all the sweet drinks. Skipped the wine and just watched her sip on hers. But I did eat a few things I should not have eaten. I can feel the bloat. Not enough water yesterday and no TMI x 2 so it is all adding up to disaster. I still need to string along a few good days to feel really back on track but clearly it won’t be while she’s here. I will aim for a better day today. Am I a serial starter? Hmmm.
