Not a question but just a hello πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Hello I am a new older member on this app and wanted to say a nervous hello, as I have just started or should I say re-started my new me personal fitness campaign πŸ™‚.
After a serious illness, it's time to have this last throw of the dice. I have got a super coach, great new gym, and hope that this app and community can help keep me in the right direction and looking forward with trepidation to this new chapter of my journey. Mart

    Hello, and welcome!

I hear you about "serious illness as motivator": I first started being routinely active in my late 40s, after full-bore cancer treatment. Unfortunately, I stayed overweight/obese for another dozen years while being athletically active. Finally, at age 59-60 I joined MFP and got a better handle on the eating side of the equation. Now 68, I've remained at a healthy weight . . . so far.

It sounds like you're off to a great start. A realistic, sustainable, practical plan is the way to go, IMO.

    Best wishes for success!

    Hi Mart
I'm pretty much as the same place as you. But I still need to find a gym. That is my next step. Just wanted to say hi. Sophia

I’m starting back on my health and weight loss journey again too. Getting older is such a kick in the head and makes losing weight harder. But I know I want my healthy self now and into the future
I wish you all the best in your health journey. Take it one day at a time and give grace to yourself when you get a bit derailed. We are only human. Best of luck to you!!
