3.3 pounds down! Really proud as I did work pretty hard for it. Happy that I can probably let loose a bit if needed, but what I am doing is working.

I'm up from pre holiday weight of 152.6. Pre holiday dates back to early November. Wins: i continued to track food daily, drink 96 oz of water daily and increased my weight training and cardio. I indulged heavily in holiday treats and cheer and didn't weigh daily but overall feel like I stayed present in my journey. Main win is the strength training is paying off. After a 60 lb. Weight loss the skin on my arms and legs were crepey and saggy but are now filling in with muscle and looking toned. Not sure if that is contributing to the weight gain but I guess I will take it. Now back to eating right and ditching the alcohol. I'm optimistic that I can get back to 150 by March. Let's do this!5 -

OK, I've made a start. I actually starting logging food again on Monday when I weighed 107.6 kilos. I expected this to be higher than normal due to eating all the festive food and drink so I also expect to see a bigger loss in the first week, which already shows with todays weigh in. I'm also doing dry January and replacing my evening glass of wine with a pot of herbal tea, already I seem to be sleeping better:

I think my next weigh in will be more realistic and I will start losing just 1-2lb a week. As long as it goes down then I will be happy. I'm really struggling with pain in my knees and heel (plantar fasciitis) so hoping that will decrease with the weight loss and then exercise will be easier.8 -

I'll admit, I was slightly discouraged at first when I stepped on the scale this morning. My calorie deficit has been totally on point, I've been exercising most days (HIIT and Weight Training), and I've been abstaining from alcohol. I feel great overall, so really I am so much happier! But seeing the scale go up was frustrating.
But, I remember when I did this the first time around, I remember weight loss was NOT linear. In the past, I'd gain 1-2 pounds, then be down 3-4 pounds the next week, then back up 1-2 pounds, and so on. I know that our bodies fluctuate, so I'm going to keep staying on this path and just see what next week brings
I hope this week is treating you all well! So happy that we are all on this journey together!6 -

When I weighed in last week it was after being off of work for 1.5 weeks and the day after New Year's Eve. I anticipated starting weight being higher. Now back to work, a lot less snacking, on my feet all day and moving more definitely has me back into a normal rhythm of my day.5 -
Good morning!
I'm so happy to see so many people losing weight!
And good attitudes from those who didn't.
I had a bad week, struggled, but came out fine.

I lost a couple pounds this week. I have watched what I’m eating a bit and when I am eating. I also increased water consumption. Not quite as much as I should be drinking each day, but definitely more than I had been. This week, I want to try to get a little more active. I hate doing anything in the cold weather, buy will try to get in some walking.5 -

Hi everyone!
I am joining the challenge a little bit late, but am in need of some accountability. I've been off and on of MyFitnessPal for 10 years, and have some good success when I've been consistent.
I am 43 years old, 5'2" with a starting weight of 146 lbs. With being petite, EVERY pound is a struggle. I have three little kids - ages 4, 6, and 8 -- and my hubby travels for work. So, cooking heathy meals the kids will actually eat, as well as trying to find time to exercise are struggles for
me.

Happy Wednesday!
Weight had been trending slowly downward all week, but now is back up today. Might be sodium (Tuesday is always chick fil a night, because we both stay at work late and are hungry by the time we leave) or exercise (maybe I'm adding muscle??) Or maybe just random daily variations.
I weigh daily and calculate a weekly average, which helps me to not fixate on the daily numbers as much. My overall goal is to lose .5 lb each week, and this week's average has me at -.35. Not quite where I want to be, but not bad either.
I have been active at least a little bit each day and have gotten back to tracking food, so I expect to see more progress in the next week. But even aside from the weight, the mental health benefits of running and exercising have been nice. Had a really hard day in the classroom yesterday, but I still made myself do a short run before I left work. And by the time I was finished, I felt so much better.3 -

No time like the present, right? Wishing you all the very best in 2025. I am grateful for this challenge and for each and every one of you!
01/08-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I honestly forgot to weight this morning when my routine ended up out-of-order. I think my weight would have been about the same or a few ounces less that my weight on the 1st. However, tomorrow I will weigh in and repost my weight and comments in the place of this entry. I don’t want to go another whole week without some sort of weight being posted. Have a good Hump Day!

I wanted to post earlier today for weigh in Wed. but the day was busy. I was so glad to see I’m still moving in the right direction! I think my goal weight may be unrealistic unless I start going back to the gym in addition to food tracking. In Dec. I was 206.6lbs which was my wake up call, so I’m progressing along! I’m getting creative with cooking healthy meals. I feel like my taste buds have awakened! 😋
