Happy New Year everyone!
My weight this morning is 156.2. It has been hovering here for the past 6 weeks between 155 and 157. My focus goal this week is actually measuring my portions as tedious as it is. Wishing everyone success this coming week!4 -

Welcome! I am 66 also - Greetings from Boston, MA! One of my 2025 resolutions is NO alcohol (It became effective Saturday, December 28th, but I will start my official alcohol-free count tomorrow; so I can celebrate my Soberversary on January 1st, 2026). That alone should save me LOTS of extra calories I don't need; so it will definitely be a "Dry January" for me as well. If you'd like, you're welcome to join in at https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10925577/sober-discussion-ongoing#latest, where we've got a small but really helpful support group going to encourage each other to significantly reduce or even completely eliminate alcohol from our lifestyles. (In my case, it's "all or nothing", because it just so happens that I don't have an "Off" button when it comes to alcoholic beverages!)
I look forward to our challenge kickoff and posting my initial weight, main measurements and scale app stats tomorrow. At the end of the challenge, I will post before/after data to show progress towards my initial goal to lose ten pounds or more by Spring.

By the way, recognizing my petite sisters, I just wanted to send a shout-out to all my fellow "shorties"! We have several members (like me) who are 5'3" (or close to that height). Just a few pounds (up or down) can make a very noticeable difference for us!
No matter what your height and build, no matter where you start, we are all on the same path - to feel better and get healthier and closer to our goals! We can do this because we're stronger together: Let's GO!

Good morning
My goal weight for spring is 140. I plan on exercising 3x per week (Beachbody program) and counting my calories, 1200 per day (my fitness pal).

Ok, let’s do this! I got on the scale this morning and weighed 202.8 lbs. This is 2 lbs off from my all time highest weight. My goal for the end of this challenge is 187 lbs and my ultimate goal weight is 175 lbs, which I’d like to get to by June 1.

I set my goal weight for the 10 lbs though I'd like to lose more than that, possibly exceed my goal. My ultimate goal weight is 145. I consider myself at 5ft 4, used to be 5'5,tho I've not been measured in year and could be slightly shorter. I'll be turning 62 during this challenge.4 -

We're finally here! 2025!
I will post my weight and scale app stats as well as basic measurements: Bust, Waist, Hips and "Potbelly" today and also at the end of this challenge on March 19th, for a side-by-side comparison to show progress made over the 11 weeks. My challenge goal is to lose 10 lbs. (or more) and to reduce my waist measurement by at least two inches. (I really want to get my scale app to STOP thinking I'm 70 years old, LOL! I'd also like to lower my body fat percentage so it no longer reports me as "obese"!)
In the meantime, I will post my weight each Wednesday and will show weight change (in pounds) for the week as well as total change since January 1st. Here goes!

So, there it is. I only gained 0.8 lbs. since December 1st - not bad considering we just went through the holiday season! (I'll just consider that "maintaining".)
I will check in once per day to catch up on our posts and report calories and steps logged for that day, as well as any other intentional activity, such as an exercise video. (Please note: This is not a requirement for this challenge- it's just to help keep me accountable.)

I should also note here that I have stopped drinking any alcoholic beverages (since December 28th) and I intend to keep it that way!) I'm counting today as my official "Day One" alcohol-FREE! This will save me so many calories (and money)!

Hi @1crvygrl, I used to be 5'4.5", but now, at age 66, I'm only 5'3"! My doctor said it's from disc compression in my lower spine due to aging. It doesn't hurt, even though I'm told that I have significant osteoarthritis in that area. I just get stiff sometimes, especially getting out of bed or if I've been sitting too long.1

Okay, here we go! First, happy new year to all. May it be a safe, healthy year for you.
My name is Mike, I am 65, male, married for almost 43 years to my best friend. I am a health disaster and need to get things back under better discipline if I want to see another 10 years. High BP, high cholesterol, insulin dependent diabetic. That's all background, there are no excuses. My goal for this challenge is to get down to 220 pounds. That will be tough but not outrageous, it's 1.5 pounds a week.
Ultimate goal weight would be 190 but that is for another day.
