Lost 50# been here but never posted

I've been using my fitness pal for years but never used this feature. I live remotely so have a home gym only. I am female in my early 50's and lost 50's over the last 2.5 years. I'm finding no one is really that excited for you (like you are) when you lose weight. I don't want to post pictures on social media as I'm not here to brag but I do like sharing my journey and successes and how far I've come with like minded people. So, thought I'd give this a try and see if I couldn't make a few new friends.

Hello, and welcome to the Community side of MFP!

With your background, I'm betting you'd have lots of reality-based tips for newer people starting out. Please dive in and comment on their threads to help them out?

If you're looking for connections and support for yourself, some options are to join one of the challenge in the Challenges section of the Community, direct link here:

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/categories/challenges

It's not just weight loss challenges: There are some focusing on activity, tuning up nutrition, and some just on forming some new habits of any type you're working ont.

Other options would be to consider participating in some of the threads in Fitness and Exercise where people post and chat about their workouts, or in Food and Nutrition or Recipes where people share photos and ideas for eating.

Getting involved in some of those ways is a good method for making friends, here. Once we find some like minded people that we feel confident are real and supportive folks, that's a time when the "friend request" process can come in, allowing people to send each other DMs and share food diaries if they choose to do that.

    Best wishes!
