    Flew back to the UK on Saturday. Weighed in on Sunday just up by 2 kg on pre-holiday weight. Losing the fluid retention already, real weight gain probably only about 1 kg. Now the hard work starts to lose that before the next holiday!

    Successes/struggles of the week:
    I am returning to activity gently with some 3k walks at lunchtimes. First short run today - now the weather is getting better I am hoping 2-3 runs during the week may be achievable!

    Surprisingly, despite the inactivity while I was unwell, my weight has remained steady - Happy Scale is reporting a trend of .5lb loss over the last 30 days, but to my mind this is because I haven’t had any of those big ‘faux gains’ due to high-carb meals/salty food (it’s surely no coincidence that our local Chinese takeaway has been closed during this period!!) or long car journeys etc. I think perhaps my metabolism has been ramped up, if my Garmin is to be believed (increased heart rate, stress levels, respiration rate, and an HRV status that resembles a halloween pumpkin smile):

    The only conscious change I have made is swapping the evening ‘glass or two of wine’ for ‘nosecco’ (a fizzy drink based on de-alcoholised wine, just 20kcal per 100ml - yep, that’s 150kcal for the whole 750ml bottle!) to help with sleep, and having 2 kiwis for dessert (as I have recently discovered a love for eating these like an apple, with the skin on) for the vitamin C.

    Either way, I’m feeling happy in my (new) ideal maintenance range, and eating plenty. Trust the process!

    A few days after returning from holiday I ate something that disagreed with me (probably the prawns) and was very unwell the next day. Hence the fairly rapid post-vacation weight loss. Not recommended! It took several days to feel completely well again.

    Struggles/Successes: I did must better with logging this week. The weight is up a tiny bit from last week but it was under goal for 4 days this week. I plan is to stay within 2 lb. So if I am staying within 1 lb that is super so I am happy. We'll see about next week. To celebrate our anniversary, we had homemade egg mcmuffins for breakfast today and we are going out for Indian food for dinner.

    Successes/struggles of the week: Another week where my average weights were slightly down over the previous weeks. Still sitting above maintenance due to weekend indulgences causing a bump up in weight that takes several days to get rid of. Looking forward to the warmer weather, as it'll help with getting out and doing more activity.

    Two weeks holiday in early February made the average for the month relatively high but I have returned to my normal weight range now.
    I had a day out last week – including dinner in a Chinese buffet restaurant and several hours travelling plus over 2 hours sitting in the theatre – caused a spike which has taken a couple of days to lose.

    This week should be quiet and I can get back into normal routines

    Struggles/Successes: Right on goal this week. That feels good. I didn't do too well at logging every day, staying on meal plan, and doing my regular exercises. But I didn't do too bad either. I am happy that I have been able to still close to goal all these years. It isn't always easy but worth it.

    Successes/struggles of the week: This past week's average weights were up a bit from the previous week, due to more meals out. This week will likely be the same, but we will see.

    I'm not sure how to navigate the website's new formatting options very well, if anyone has any tips, that would be helpful! For example, it seems to be adding a lot of unnecessary spaces between lines that I can't seem to figure out how to delete (for example, the different dates in March above), and some other things which make it more difficult to use.

    Got out for another couple of runs, just short and easy to get back into the habit. 

    Currently in a ‘faux gain’ due to travel and the thai food I ate yesterday: however, as my ‘trend’ is out of my new ideal range (previously I would have coloured it orange!) I took time to review my food diary - and although I did eat a teeny bit above my maintenance calories on a couple of days last week I am still well within the weekly calorie limit.  Trust the process!

    Successes/struggles of the week:

    This is my very first time entering maintenance in what feels like nearly more than 3 years now? (I restarted this journey 3rd Quarter of 2022). I've also never been at this weight since my teen years. I originally planned to go lower, but due to high stress in my personal life, I've decided to maintain now, indefinitely.

    I'm trying to figure out what my TDEE is right now for basic workout and lifestyle (I dislike eating my fitness effort, so I like to calculate a 'gross' number that includes 10 000 steps except on rare 2 weeks contracts - freelancer -, strength training an hour 3/week, Zone 2 brisk walking/light jogging 3/week, long leisurely walk on Sunday).

    Maintenance is a whole new thing for me. So apologies. This is completely new for me. And again, I haven't been this "light" since my teens when I use to walk and walk and walk (as you can tell, it's an activity I adore).

    Also not in the US, hence all the kgs/cms etc.
