~ I’m not sure how accurate this is since I overloaded on carbs yesterday at the fair. Maybe because I weighed in 2 hours later than usual?🤷🏻♀️I did do a ton of walking though and MFP didn’t account for my workout yesterday morning and so had to try entering it manually

3/4 137.0 Slept last night from 9-6, I think. Got up, got the bread in the oven and baked, and waiting to take it to the neighbors’ for group breakfast in 45 minutes.
3/5 137.0 Breakfast with neighbors was good. Egg casserole, bacon, 1/2 slice of my sourdough, a taste of fried potatoes.
I’m old, I don’t like change! Clearly MFP doesn’t care. I will try to cope but this may be the “straw that breaks the camel’s back.”4 -
This post is going to be messy and I apologize.
I'm ok with change…when it works…This is NOT working well.
Did they mention we'd lose our drafts, and I missed it? UGH….😪 Did we lose the spoiler too, looks like some have gottenit to work…. and why is there no preview?! This is a mess….
Ok, venting done…let me see how I can update for today.
I think I found the spoiler. Unfortunately, I can't use the Preview to see if it's working….
How do to the spoiler
Highlight the text to put behind the spoiler, then click the little paragraph mark to the left (looks like a weird musical note); then there's a set of quotes; click those, and you should see the spoiler.
This is what I want behind the spoiler….

3/11 -On day 12 of a stall. I was hoping declaring the stall would end it, which is what usually happens 😀. My calculated weight today is ~197.4. I know once the stall breaks I will return to the trendline/calculated weight, I just need to be patient. But in reality that gets harder the longer it takes.

Hi, I'm Charissa.
Thank you, @quiltingjaine , for continuing these supportive rounds!
January: It started well until I fell ill. (I rarely get sick – thank you, grandkids!)
February: It felt like my body was overcompensating for being unwell; it was strange.
March: In my blog, I discussed feeling insanity and realized I fit that definition, signaling it's time to shake it up a bit. Last round, I mentioned micromanaging my every action; I did start, even though the scale wasn't reflecting the effort...Time for a BHAG ~Big Hair Audacious Goal. My goal is to lose 10lbs in March. I can't tell you the last time I lost 10lbs in a single month. I do recall losing 8 last January but we need it big and hairy
10lbs in March translates to about 3.3 pounds for the next 3 rounds.
How Will I do this:
1) Micromanager ~ proactive and timely review of my actions.
2) Back to participating in Step Bet which will get my steps up. Aim to burn 2,900+ calories (per Apple watch which translates into closing my move goal)
3) TDEE experiment ~ I will elaborate on this after a couple of weeks.
4) Modified Goals (see below)Overall Goals for 2025
Lose weight in the kitchen ⚖️, get fit in the gym🏋🏾♀️
Q: What will be different in 2025 vs all other times?
A: Change in my mindset
A: Being mindful and engaged
A: Addressing the elephant in the room!
A: No excuses
A: DETERMINED AND ENGAGEDNote: These are pretty much my same goals from 2023 and 2024, I've made some great progress but now it's time to knock this list out! My goals are SMART - just not including all the details here:
Goal #1 - Calories - 1650. **Eat well? to Live Well?✈️?
Goal #2 - Wine/Alcohol Reduction - 85% Dry March or better **?? Alcohol kills weight loss as the focus is burning alcohol calories and not fat calories!
Goal #3 - Water - Minimum 50 ounces - Maximum 100 (only if consumed before 6pm) H2O - Make it Flow???
Goal #4 - Exercise - 6 days a week (Cardio, Core, Stretching, Strength Training) ~ ??♀️ Don't think, just do it!!
Goal #5 - Self Care (Reading, Journaling, Monthly recap, Learning, Pampering)
Goal #6 - Organization and Declutter (Finish unpacking)Stats and Previous Rounds

5 Goals/10 days!
🚶🏽🍎✅💧🚫⬇️3/2 228.2 (-1.2/-1.2)🚶🏽🍎🚫⬇️ Carbs were high, and water intake was low. Had a busy day starting with a birthday party and then babysitting the grandkids.
3/3 228.0 (-.2/-1.4)🚶🏽🍎✅💧🚫⬇️ Carbs are still higher than I normally consume. Not sure if I shared here...but using Factor meals for calorie and portion control for a bit. Question for the group. I am laser-focused on these 10lb this month. I have slacked up this year on my strength training. Mind you, not a powerlifter by any means but wondering if I should wait to resume my ST until April or whether the impact would be minimal (muscle weighing more than fat) to start now?
3/4 227.0 (-1.0/-2.4)🍎💧🚫⬇️ A little surprised at this number as yesterday didn't include much exercise or moving around (6 hour meeting at work). Calories good, water good, carbs high...
3/5 226.0 (-1.0/-3.4)🚶🏽🍎💧🚫⬇️ Took a while to update and I'm afraid it's all going to go poof and/or I won't be able to copy and paste and retain the formatting……Down another pound! WOW. I weighed 6 times and moved the scale around and this was the highest recording!! I've met my goal for the round, now just got to keep it….any additional is a bonus!! 03/04-195.6-(Trend Weight: 196.3)- I’m still eating way too fast which causes me to eat more as I try to fill in a specific time frame that feels normal to me. Growing up I was one of 6. And three of them were brothers who all grew to 6 feet tall. One is 6’5”. It was grab and eat or get none. But I think the biggest influence was my factory job at age 18 when the breaks were short (15 min) and the walk to and from the break room was long. Shovel that snack in! I smoked back then too and had to have time for the cigarette as well. I’m turning 65 this year and old habits are still hard to break. I think I would eat less, especially the snacks, if I would just slow down. When I swallow it whole, I need two protein bars instead of one! This is what I will be working on in the coming days. I hope it will make a difference. My meals, while eating too fast, are still good because it’s a PLATE of food. Those snacks, however, are small. It’s too easy to double up. I’m not a pig, I’m a human. I need to act like one. T-Minus 0.2 on my birthday goal with 9.8 lbs to go by May 10th.
03/05-195.6-(Trend Weight: 196.2)- Wow! Yesterday was the best day I’ve had in Forever. Meals have been good but those snacks were so much better than they have been lately. I did try to slow down my eating but kept forgetting. I’ll keep working on that. My dinner was later (9:30 pm) so maybe that helped. I need to work harder on exercise and movement. I’m really trying to make a lot of changes that get me back in the game. I just wish the scale would have reflected how well I ate yesterday! “Good things come to those who wait”. I must remember that.

It looks like I managed the spoiler but all my BBC Code colors are showing but in black & white. At some point I will have to remove all of that until it is bland and with no personality. I am in several challenges, all with their own form. It will take me awhile so I apologize for the inconvenience. Also, the ticker is not showing. The HTML for bold is not working but it does have a button for bold.

I don't think we can do spoiler within a spoiler any longer.
Single line spacing is a challenge.
Highlight the text that you want single spaced.
You will see a blue bar to the right.
Click that bar, and it will give you formatting options.
The easiest way I see is to click where it says "enter your own" and then select single line spacing or a similar variation.
It may take a few tries.I can imagine doing this on a phone!
Depending on where you're pasting from, you may be able to paste plain text.
Save often because things keep vanishing….
@skyleen75 ~ enjoy the trampoline outing!!
@_jeffreyd_ ~I dont think the code to support the spoilers exists any longer either.
I will continue to play to see what else I can find out…..

So I was absent the last day of the last challenge. Had surgery and am recovering. I am not bothering to look at the last round's stats, but I think I started that challenge a little over 160 and ended it at 157.2. Weighed myself this am, and it bounced between 157 and 157.2, so I'll say still at 157.2. And I am not sure I'm going to hit all the exercise I was logging so I'll just post weight until things settle.
so
3/5 157.2

GW 130—I reached that goal and will work on five more pounds. New goal is 125
SMART Goals for this session:
- Keep net carbs below 30
2. Keep kcal below 1200
3. Measure portion sizes of everything this round
4. Lose one pound in ten days
SW RND 289
3/2 129.6 mother moved from hospital to rehab unit within a nursing home
3/3 130.2 Still in bed asked to have her up in chair—did not happen
3/4 129.2 replay of yesterday. In bed the entire day/night and nobody seems phased by it. What kind of rehab happens when the patient is stuck in bed 24/7? Not happy with care
3/5 129.8 mother covered in vomit, urine, stool with various dried lines in the linen—how many times did she go without anyone checking on her? Cleaned her up, changed her. Stage I and II breakdown on her butt. Complained to staff. Asked for Zofran, extra linens, skin care consult, and either a recliner or wheelchair in her room so that she can be helped into a chair. She really does not need skin breakdown, or an ileus. I hope she does not need to go back to the hospital. She is looking really sick again.

Update: I was able to copy and paste from the previous post but the spoiler do have to be open.
I don't think we will be able to maintain a copy intact outside of MFP
@musicsax ~ I think the copy and paste will work. We have to get used to it.

Calories good, water good, carbs high...3/5 226.0 (-1.0/-3.4)🚶🏽🍎💧🚫⬇️ Took a while to update and I'm afraid it's all going to go poof and/or I won't be able to copy and paste and retain the formatting……Down another pound! WOW. I weighed 6 times and moved the scale around and this was the highest recording!! I've met my goal for the round, now just got to keep it….any additional is a bonus!! Yesterday was a great day as far as hitting all my goals and coming in under on calories, so this little bump up is nothing to be concerned about. Today I have been to the gym and have a ton of errands to run. I hate change so this new format is going to drive me insane!
@cyndiemi I am so sorry the nursing home rehab is not doing their job for your mom.

3/05 - 166.7 - Still dropping. I'm okay with that though I fear once this settles out I might be dropping too fast and risking some muscle. The app has already shown that it's adjusting daily based on the feedback but it won't adjust macros/calories until Monday. I think I'm going to change it to Sunday since I try to plan my meals out the night before since I meal prep Sundays. I have been at the gym all this week and I'm so incredibly sore from taking that week off. Hopefully it'll pass and I'll get back to feeling good in the workouts by next week. Tomorrow is SD's birthday (she's 11 hours away with her BioMom though) and FamWife's birthday. As long as BF's work doesn't keep him late (it shouldn't), we're going to meet up with her and FamHubs for a nice small dinner to celebrate. I think it's a surprise for her - at least that we're trying to show up. That said, I'll be looking back at the messages to see where we're trying to go so I can take a look at the menu ahead of time and try to plan as best I can around that for the day. I do have one more lunch meal prep but I can be flexible with breakfast at least.

Previous Day's Comments3/02 - Not at all what I was expecting! I figured I'd be up after all the food I ate yesterday. I logged to the best of my ability and was well over in every aspect (I would've been over on my bulk macros/calories, too, if I was still at that level!) I guess my body needed it. Alas, it is logged and we'll see how bad the damage is tomorrow when the app does my check in. Meal prepping and homework today (BF is doing his homework, I'm simply editing/reading through for clarity). Hopeful for this week since I'm feeling better. Tomorrow will be awful with the early wakeup after a week of sleeping in, but I know the gym will be better for me. Also best not linger in the laziness or I'll lose momentum and struggle to get back to that routine.
3/03 - DNP
3/04 - Well then. I did switch up the tracking from lower carb to balanced because I was struggling to feel full on so few carbs and couldn't quite hit my fat goal without just chugging olive oil by itself (ick). I think carbs like my sweet potatoes and oatmeal are more likely to keep me full. Plus, it was hard to add in additional fiber when I was already over on carbs - now I should be able to manage and hopefully not feel so ravenous. With that said, though, I was well over on fats yesterday and barely hit my carb goal (I was over on carbs and just under on fats when I made the switch - I was planning today out and realized I couldn't do it given the meals I had prepped). Today looks much more doable. It's nearly lunch and I'm not all that hungry so I'm feeling a lot more confident in this setup I have. Gym this morning was good and glad to be back into routine. I did struggle a bit more waking up but I was up a lot last night due to the horrendous winds making the entire house shake but managed to get moving relatively easy. Glad it wasn't a nightmare trying to wake up and go after a week of sleeping in!

I am still unable to figure out how to eliminate parts of the post I don't want to quote. Anyway, in regards to your mother and her condition. In the last week of my best friend's life, she developed what we thought was a typical bed sore. It was not. It was something I've never heard of. It was called a Kennedy Ulcer. Of course, I don't know the exact prognosis of your mother, but I hope you will look up the Kennedy Ulcer with pics. It is something that comes quickly, usually within hours, and signifies that organs are shutting down and there may not be a lot of time left. They have a particular shape with the most common shape being like a horseshoe. It is a blackened skin sore. Usually there is only one week or less (most commonly days) till the end. For my friend Diane it was just a couple of days. I am not trying to scare you or anyone else. However, I had never heard of a Kennedy Ulcer and just wanted to share with you and with everyone. Prayers that your mother will be kept better and more comfortable than they are keeping her now! Prayers to you too, my friend.

🎷 66 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 289(my 219th). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine.
So here we go again, I’m just keeping plugging away! New round, this time I need to stop playing around & take it more seriously, I am not in maintenance & I want to get back to where I should be. I will be taking something forward from @Chapter_3 (yet again) if I may "We should be strategically engaged with our lives each day, right?! That’s my word… ENGAGED." " I will try to keep that word ENGAGED in my mind over these new 10 days & also remember that I am the driver of my life & not the passenger. My goal for this round is to get back to 139s. I need to be diligent as only 3-5 days per round staying on the wagon is not sufficient to get me back to where I want to be & then relaxing for the last 2/3 is not acceptable! I want to stay strong, walk the walk as well as talk the talk! & make the round a successful one. So, goals for this round;
First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 66 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth",
2/28 143 (trend 142.8) 9.37 miles walked 9.37 miles walked. Feeling very low with myself at the mo., the gain is not only apparent in the fit of clothes but also starting to show in the mirror. I’ve started to withdraw into myself again, really need to pull myself together & sort myself out.
3/1 DNW - taking yesterday's number as end of round weight as came away in the caravan so no scales. Feel better about myself this morning after the 'downer'; was totally engaged with every mouthful yesterday, need to continue to drive for a healthy life. 0.4 pound gained this round. I'll catch up with the posts later.
SW RND 2893/2 DNW – travelled home today. Walked 9.32 miles yesterday, was very engaged all day, thought very carefully before putting every bite in my mouth.

SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then weight up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)SW MFP Sept 14, 2020 – 153 (lost 40, then stress took off another 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress became gain)
SW MFP Jan 1, 2023 – 146.6
GW Maintaining between 124 - 126
SW: 135.2
3/2 – 135.2 Totally confused. While I did go to the gym yesterday – Yay! I totally went off the rail late in the day. In fact, this morning I contemplated a DNW as I expected a significant uptick. Anyhow, grateful and I am confident diary will be fine today. Heading out for a group walk shortly.
ALSO, Round 289 is my 100th round since September 2020. Pretty cool. I am also now 2 months from starting MOG dress shopping.
3/3 – 137.2 How? That is not a typo. I weighed and reweighed. I waited an hour, and even changed the batteries, then weighed again. Makes NO sense. Yesterday was good with 5 miles walked, all food tracked and ended in deficit. Might think “payback” for the previous day/night. But even that could have only resulted in a small fraction of a pound. No idea, but obviously disappointed.
DD, SIL and grandsons arrive today for a week. This round will have some challenges.
3/4 – 136.2 Late posting today. DD, SIL and grandsons arrived late yesterday, and hubby flew in from a weekend wedding as well, two hours after them.
Soooo, yesterday started off good and then got more complicated. I did a 5 miles walk, but had it end at the gym. There I did an hour of weights, then walked to the grocery store, bought perishables, and tried to hail a cab as planned (Hubby took the car to the airport – we share one when in florida). Nope on the taxi. So I decided to talk. I did a 1.32 miles farmers carry with 4 bags of groceries. Then proceeded with trying to get ready for guests.
Today, I just did two laps, something like 3.3 miles, and got back to be with family. They made bacon – a challenge for me. Tonight we are going out to dinner. I have that all tracked already. I am pushing to be smart while enjoying family and hoping to somehow end the round at or below that starting weight (I really want to see that “4”).
3/5 – 135.2 So I survived the day. Today, no time for my walking. Heading to the aquarium.
3/6 – 135.4 scale initially said 134.4 and I knew that was too good to be true. Having family visiting is quite the challenge. They are eating at quite a different pace than me but I am making my best personal choices along the way. Exercise is not fitting in well either as the kids are getting up as early as I am. Great visit though. Making happy memories!

3/6: OK, I've been completely inconsistent this round in checking in here. I've kept up with weighing, and knew I'd go up a bit. Still aiming to keep it just under 130 for the round.
What happened to our text??? I went to paste in my info and the format was changed. I knew they were changing over but didn't expect it to be so radically different- everything I pasted from "Notes" went to double spacing… what is "inline code"? And how do I do "spoiler" now? There's no "preview"?
How can I single space again?

Thanks for allowing me the rant yesterday. And thanks for the encouraging words. Even chapter_3 😊I had a molecule of self-control yesterday. Before I pound my chest like king kong I will remember what skyleen75 wrote… “I tell myself “weight loss isn’t linear” when I’m dealing with daily ups and downs…“
I won the battle of March 1. Now, onward with the war. Don’t fear the upticks and lost battles. No single battle will lose the war.

I need to lock it down today!DW made some yogurt in the Instant Pot Saturday. My new breakfast anchor for the rest of this round. She hasn’t done it in a while, but when she did I was in a losing mode.
3/4: 230.6
OK I am a bit confused because I thought yesterday was a lock down. I ate right and exercised well. Food was kinda carby. Logged it all. Group class at the gym in the morning and a nice bike ride in the afternoon. Worked up a sweat at both. Sat at the car dealer yesterday around noon for an oil change with free movie theater style popcorn 5 feet away and didn’t eat one kernel.Chalk it up as a bump in the road. “It’s only a flesh wound.”
DW and I watched a Les Misérables concert on PBS Sunday night. Such a great story. Such great music. Fantastic performers. All about my favorite book. So, yesterday I decided to read it again after 30 years. I read it on the train, to and from work, in another life. To say Victor Hugo grinds the character development is a gross understatement. I guess if your going to fill 1500 pages you need to write about something! HA! This could take a while.

Good luck to all as we find a new normal.3/6: 230.0
DW and I are going to try joining a book club at our local library. Taking a short break from Les Mis to read “The Book Thief.” I read half in one day.3/7
