Hi, Iβm Tammy. 53 yrs okd. married for 24 years, mother of a son (21) and daughter (18). Iβve been on MFP on/off since 2015. Lost 20 pounds in 2024 and I am working towards goal of overall better health. I do not have a specific weight goal in mindβ¦.but I have a biometric scale and I am looking for those numbers to be in the normal/acceptable range and to get below my biological age. I joined this group in January and found it kept me accountable.
April goals:
1. Log meals minimally 3x per week.
2. Increase movement (steps to 7000/day) and/or workout.
3. Check in with this group daily.April 1: 133.0
March 31: logged food and hit protein goals. Steps 6197 and completed a 20 minute Pilate workout and 1 hour yoga class. π§ββοΈ

My name is Kristin, 5β3 36 with a 5 yo boy. Back for another month! Iβm making it a lifestyle. I have only been back in the 130s once (2021) since having my kid and I need to get back there. Not only for my confidence and self esteem, but for him. I want to be in those pictures I feel too fat to take. Preschool graduation isΒ 5/20Β and I am tired of hiding from the camera. I want to take family photos and have those lasting memories and now is the time. My goal for April is to get under 145 by the 19th when we are traveling to see family. I have to stay in check that trip too to reach myΒ 5/10Β goal. I have clothes goals and rewards too. I am purging my fat closet (my husbands shirts) and back to MY personal wardrobe.

I will be weighing in every other day bc I get too discouraged seeing the scale go up with the daily fluctuations. I worked out sooo much yesterday and kept calories low and still no movement from yesterday. Same weight as I was last Thursday. Might need to break out the smart scale that shows percentages (muscle, water etc) just to give myself peace of mind something is happening. I have tried measuring but I feel like I measure wrong too consistently to be accurate lol. Big month for me too as we are traveling to see family so I wonβt be weighing in the 20th-25th.3 -

There's a lot of fasting before Pascha, and a lot of feasting afterwards. So when we get to the days and weeks after April 20, I will be continually surrounded by copious amounts of amazing food, and that's great. But I have decided that this year I will continue logging no matter what events are going on in life (until I've been at goal for a little while anyway). My plan is to set my logging to maintenance for the end of April and to just eat at maintenance; even a little over that is OK sometimes, as long as I keep the logging habit.

@kebass01 and @andreajlnhe love that you are making it your own! The journey is about figuring out what works for you and that means trying new things. Logging and weighing everyday helps me identify what causes my fluctuations. My issue is movement! A sedentary job means focused effort around movingβ¦thatβs the goal/sometimes struggle Iβm trying to tackle!

4/3: 146.4Grrr no weight loss this week and calories have been on point (I also use a food scale to make sure). I see little changes though in that my love handles crease is getting smaller so thatβs a plus. I also fit into another one of my long stored sweatshirts so thatβs a NSV too. I started running yesterday and did 30 second run and 3 minute walk for an hour. Today if the weather holds up I adjusted it to a 2.30 walk. I finally broke out my smart scale and will weigh in on that tonight to get a muscle percentage baseline. Just keep on keeping on I guess.

I'll have so many posts to catch up on when I get home! I got a report that my power is restored this morning though much of my area is still without. The cleanup is going to be horrendous! I won't be going home today because I still have no heat until my furnace is installed. Hope you are all doing well. We are making it work.

New here. My goal for the month is to become OCD about logging and keeping to a calorie limit. Iβve stuck to this for 2 days now. Iβm 68 and want to lose 5lb this month if any exercise gets added, thatβs ok but not committing to that yet since I donβt want to get overwhelmed.

I am home now. Although I was promised that my furnace would be ready it was not. But we were already back to our County and to our area so we're going to tough it out for the night and I hope they'll be finished by tomorrow. At least the power is back on and we have a television a place to charge our phones and we can plug the Eden Pure back in. As long as we're standing within 24 in of it we can feel some heat from that. It does nothing to take the chill out of a room though. But it does feel good to be home and in my own bed. And it's nice to have television again with the power on. Still way too cold for the cat so I didn't pick it up from my daughters. Hopefully I can get the pretty girl back home by tomorrow. I'll catch up on post as soon as there's enough warmth in here to tolerate. It's one thing to be under covers at night but it's another thing to be walking around during the day. I'm not likely to do that. If it's not done by noon I will have to go away for the day.

April 3: logged goods and fell over calorie and carb limit. Went to watch a band with some friends so had a couple of drinks which pushed me over my carbs, but danced and burned some off! π Booked a trip for the end of May with my mom and daughter. Need to make sure summer clothes fit!

4/5: 145.6I gave myself two rest days and yesterday I def went above calories as I went into hangry mode. Excited to see the scale move today. Maybe it needed the reset and extra calories to release. I will take it. Also broke out the smart scale and seeing small drops in subcutaneous fat which is good! Got 14 days until vacation!

I am starting with my last known weight on 3/31 which happened to be at the end of the last round. I am showing a loss as of today from that but did gain last round. Iβm not sure why there has been a loss over the past couple of days since itβs been all restaurant food and bad snacks at the hotel. I think maybe it was because I was having stress related stomach issues the whole time? Heat is still not completely resolved here but they promised today. The main thing is that they continue to need more parts which are not readily available here for furnaces so it keeps being a waiting game. If this persists, Iβll have to head south again and look for hotels again. Last night was a nightmare sleeping here, so cold. Today you can physically feel that it is warmer outside than in the house even though it continues to be a cold Michigan winter day. I appreciate continued prayers for my family including my adult children affected by this disaster in our area. Please pray for our entire community. Some will be without power for up to a month!

ok so Iβve been a train wreck this week. Best nip it in the bud before I gain anymore weight. 2kg gain and my stomach has ballooned so badly I look like I gained 10kg.

π° π° π° π° π°04/06-193.2- (Trend Weight: 194.9) Good News and Bad News. First the bad news: It appears the power surge blew out my wall double ovens. I had an appliance person come by and check on it. The control board is no longer available. To replace them is 3000 to 4000 just for the ovens, not counting installation. You donβt know how much I hoped that it was just a breaker switch which I tried first. No ovens right before Easter so dinner is cancelled. The good news is Heat, glorious Heat! Furnace install was completed by yesterday evening. Central Air will be installed soon. Finally we can stay home. Itβs nice to see a couple of new faces here. Welcome to all!
