    April 6: logged foods bit wish I didn’t! Hubby and I treated ourselves to some ice cream after dinner, so I fell I e calories. Walked 1.5 miles and did a Pilates workout.

    140 - throw out one pair of yoga pants, and three shirts. Treat self to hair appt and buy fun earrings.
    *these are shirts that shrunk too short for my hubby to wear lol

    Im okay with this. I enjoyed myself this weekend and my active calories was minimal. I also had a lot of salt yesterday after making some tortilla soup with the cold front that came through. Already did my 30 minutes of yoga and just waiting on it to warm a up a bit more before taking the dogs on a nice long walk.

    04/06-193.2- (Trend Weight: 194.9) Good News and Bad News. First the bad news: It appears the power surge blew out my wall double ovens. I had an appliance person come by and check on it. The control board is no longer available. To replace them is 3000 to 4000 just for the ovens, not counting installation. You don’t know how much I hoped that it was just a breaker switch which I tried first. No ovens right before Easter so dinner is cancelled. The good news is Heat, glorious Heat! Furnace install was completed by yesterday evening. Central Air will be installed soon. Finally we can stay home. It’s nice to see a couple of new faces here. Welcome to all!

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/07-195.4- (Trend Weight: 194.9) I’m up 2.2 lbs overnight. Is it due to lack of water pill for nearly 2 weeks? That would contribute but I don’t think it’s all because of that. I mean, coincidentally, all at once? Nah….. I think it’s more than likely because I’m home and finishing up all the bad hotel snacks. Or is it just because I’m home period, and I have worse habits than I thought. Hmmm… clearly something to think about.

    April 7: logged foods. On track for calories but fell short of protein. Did 1 hour yoga class and walked 2.5 miles for a total of 7.898 steps reaching my step goal!! 😊

    Hi All,

    I'm very happy to be joining you all again for April.

    I'm 5'2", working on getting to my goal weight and then staying there. I will tell you all that this month will be different for me. My goal for the month is not really to end up with a loss, but to LOG. In our world, Greek Orthodox Easter (Pascha) is the center of the universe, and there is a lot of feasting. There's a lot of fasting before Pascha, and a lot of feasting afterwards. So when we get to the days and weeks after April 20, I will be continually surrounded by copious amounts of amazing food, and that's great. But I have decided that this year I will continue logging no matter what events are going on in life (until I've been at goal for a little while anyway). My plan is to set my logging to maintenance for the end of April and to just eat at maintenance; even a little over that is OK sometimes, as long as I keep the logging habit.

    • April 1: 124.8
    • April 2: 125.0 🌸 I logged! 250 calories under goal 🎊
    • April 3: 124.8
    • April 4: 124.4 🌸 I logged! 328 calories under goal 🎊🎊 I was really surprised to see this result on the scale. I didn't do so great yesterday and thought surely the scale would go up.
    • April 5: 124.6
    • April 6: 125.6
    • April 7: 127.2
    • April 8: 127.0 It seems like if I have a good day, the scale goes down 0.2, but if I have a bad day, the scale goes up 2.5. πŸ™„ Gotta keep trying.

    April 8: logged and hit calories goal. Slightly below protein but not back. Completed Pilates video, 15 min arm workout, walked 2 miles for a total of 9.388 steps!! Weight has been bouncing around but I’ve been focusing on how to get more movement in my days. Based on past posts I also need to figure out how to get more protein since I’ve been falling short quite a bit. Overall, feeling good.😊

    @deepwoodslady Im sorry but I giggle a little when I saw your screen shot. Is that a motivator? πŸ€”Do you have the premium version of MFP that you get that breakdown?

    I use a site called trendweight.com to track my trending weight too. The information came from there. I agree about the giggling but I must admit, if it wasn't so funny I would probably cry! Anyway, today it shows a date in 2033 instead of 2062. I'll be 73, which makes the loss possible. Horray! LOL

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/09-195.4- (Trend Weight: 194.9) What the heck? Okay, I did go out for lunch yesterday which put me over for the day by 100 calories and about 25% more carbs too. However, it was a light lunch and I didn’t even finish it or box it up to take leftovers home. I did very well later having a light dinner and my snacks were finally on target. Is this leftover from earlier in the week? Humph…. I had a drop of weight in-between. I admit it, I don’t get it. Especially with the drop yesterday unless that was solely related to the prescribed water pill. Clueless here but I’ll just lump it and keep going. I woke up to no heat kicking on today and cold house. New furnace here and new thermostat. Now what??? Calling the HVAC and hopefully they will come today and figure it out. Please God…..I’ve been a good girl my whole life……

    having a bad time with severe bloating. I went to hospital yesterday because I was concerned about urine retention but they didn’t find anything in my blood. I’m sure there is something really wrong. Has anyone experienced severe bloating like this?

    April 9: did go in the way of logging and hitting macro targets. Not so good in activity. Was in back to back meetings so steps count suffered… only logged 3,110 steps. ☹️ Todays schedule should be better!

    I do get severe bloating in my stomach that can look as big as 8 or 9 months pregnant. My cardiologist tells me that this is the common place to collect extra fluid that my heart is not pushing through. It collects primarily in the stomach and also in the ankle/feet area. I am prescribed a daily Lasix pill for this which is common for a heart patient. My heart is not strong enough to push through all my fluids properly.

    You appear much younger than me but I would still ask my doctor about this, just to be safe. I hope everything goes well for you!

However, it was a light lunch and I didn’t even finish it or box it up to take leftovers home. I did very well later having a light dinner and my snacks were finally on target. Is this leftover from earlier in the week? Humph…. I had a drop of weight in-between. I admit it, I don’t get it. Especially with the drop yesterday unless that was solely related to the prescribed water pill. Clueless here but I’ll just lump it and keep going. I woke up to no heat kicking on today and cold house. New furnace here and new thermostat. Now what??? Calling the HVAC and hopefully they will come today and figure it out. Please God…..I’ve been a good girl my whole life……

Today will be lots more of the yard clean up. A widow maker (large part of a tree top hanging by a thread) will be looked at hopefully today by a tree service. It is dangling dangerously near my main power lines coming in to the house and needs to be removed. It will be another long hard day. I must plan my meals and stick to the plan. It’s just too easy at this time to grab & go in the chaos. Better planning equals better results!

    Hi All,

    I'm very happy to be joining you all again for April.

    I'm 5'2", working on getting to my goal weight and then staying there. I will tell you all that this month will be different for me. My goal for the month is not really to end up with a loss, but to LOG. In our world, Greek Orthodox Easter (Pascha) is the center of the universe, and there is a lot of feasting. There's a lot of fasting before Pascha, and a lot of feasting afterwards. So when we get to the days and weeks after April 20, I will be continually surrounded by copious amounts of amazing food, and that's great. But I have decided that this year I will continue logging no matter what events are going on in life (until I've been at goal for a little while anyway). My plan is to set my logging to maintenance for the end of April and to just eat at maintenance; even a little over that is OK sometimes, as long as I keep the logging habit.

    April 11: over on calories but did crushed protein goal!! Completed Pilates video. Steps at 5,396. Although my food all day was really good, I killed my day by having a couple drinks 🍺 when we went out for dinner with some friends. By looking at my weight ins above, that’s exactly what happened to me on April 6; we went out to see a band and had a couple drinks…. πŸ˜” not that I didn’t realize it would have an impact, but definitely obvious what the culprit is especially when my food was on point; will need to make a change.

    @deepwoodslady I just assumed the bloating was due to my catheter not working but it could be heart related- interesting. I will have to talk to my GP.

    Been at my mums - having issues with my youngest son and things are just very strained. Tired. took my dog to the beach yesterday. Was nice and peaceful.

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/13-196.6 ❌ - (Trend Weight - 195.5) I am still in the grab & go mentality during this storm mess but things are looking better and better in the yards. We are definitely eating more restaurant food as we take breaks from the cleanup. I got the hauling off help yesterday and got some more picking up and raking done which is probably helping to keep some of my calories burned off. Lots of tarp dragging full of yard debris to the bonfire area for later burning. I have a very wide house with the attached side entry garage so it’s a long way around to the back when we are working in the front. There will be more work today. This is what my primary focus must be right now for sure. Schools are back in session which means that the region is improving though many are still without power. The weather has improved and that is a tremendous help. There are still snapped trees that I will have to contend with. At some point I will have to contend with this weight gain too. If I could mitigate further weight damage it would make it much easier to lose any excess weight that started with the hotel stays and has landed me here eating no-so-healthy meals and snacks. It’s a mess and I’m a mess but this too shall pass.

So when we get to the days and weeks after April 20, I will be continually surrounded by copious amounts of amazing food, and that's great. But I have decided that this year I will continue logging no matter what events are going on in life (until I've been at goal for a little while anyway). My plan is to set my logging to maintenance for the end of April and to just eat at maintenance; even a little over that is OK sometimes, as long as I keep the logging habit.

    • April 8: 127.0 It seems like if I have a good day, the scale goes down 0.2, but if I have a bad day, the scale goes up 2.5. πŸ™„ Gotta keep trying.

We are definitely eating more restaurant food as we take breaks from the cleanup. I got the hauling off help yesterday and got some more picking up and raking done which is probably helping to keep some of my calories burned off. Lots of tarp dragging full of yard debris to the bonfire area for later burning. I have a very wide house with the attached side entry garage so it’s a long way around to the back when we are working in the front. There will be more work today. This is what my primary focus must be right now for sure. Schools are back in session which means that the region is improving though many are still without power. The weather has improved and that is a tremendous help. There are still snapped trees that I will have to contend with. At some point I will have to contend with this weight gain too. If I could mitigate further weight damage it would make it much easier to lose any excess weight that started with the hotel stays and has landed me here eating no-so-healthy meals and snacks. It’s a mess and I’m a mess but this too shall pass.

    🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 🐰 04/14-DNW- (Trend Weight: DNW) Nopity-Nope to the scale today. Spent yesterday evening in self-sabotage mode and it was bad. Really bad. Every bit of worry and stress has seriously caught up to me. Perhaps tomorrow or the next day will see me back on the scale. Snow expected today and tomorrow here in Michigan. SOS appointment today to renew license becoming Real ID compliant. Time to renew tabs before May birthday anyway. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I’ll pass the required eye exam with my eye issues including (but not limited to) that hole in the back of my right eye. Seriously worried.
