@LittleSurferGirl7 When you right click to paste, look for the option just under "paste" that says "paste as plain text". Use that and it will be single spaced. It will not take away any graphics, emoji's, bold, italics, size change or anything else you have used in the lines. I then post the the newly spaced onto a word document (or whatever you use) and I don't have to do it every time. Just at the start of a new total challenge. I hope this helps.

The challenge will start again on August 1st. I'm afraid I haven't lost a single pound. Sigh. I also have not put in much effort besides walking a lot. I am joining the local gym and that should help motivate me. There is a huge pool there and a sauna, so I'm looking forward to a fresh start August 1st.

That holiday (for some strange reason) put me on a drunken binge although no alcohol has been involved. I hope Iβve turned a corner here and will start making some progress again. Iβm tired of βstaggering aroundβ when I could be making leaps and bounds!

There was a little recovery time after the trip, but compliance at home was much easier than out. Iβve just got to stop being lazy on my exercise! Getting lots of house cleaning done though! My goal for this month looks a lot further away than I can reach, no matter how hard I stretch my fingers. Iβll get as close as I can!

But at the doctor's office today (with clothing on) I was 169 lbs.Β
I'm just maintaining, but I feel pretty good. I have some muscle mass in my arms from weights, and I have been going to Pilates twice a week. My blood pressure was fine today : 100/70. My BMI was 29 which is not great, but it used to bee 33.
My friend who is thin and healthy, said just remember every time you put a handful of something in your mouth (like a snack) that's 50 calories.
My Achille's heel is wine. Three glasses equals hundreds of calories. One bottle of rose is about 600-650 calories. Of course if I cut that out, I'd lose 2 pounds a week. Not going to happen at this stage of my life. Love reading your posts. It's nice to keep in touch and know that we are not in this health journey alone.

This is week 12 since reaching goal. I lost another pound since my last weigh-in. There's no explanation for it. Maybe it's just water weight. I don't care.I've been eating a lot of carbs. Which means I've been eating whenever I feel like it. When I was tracking food I lost at a rate of one pound to 1/2 pounds a week. At 3500 calories per pound I can figure out how much of a deficit I need to lose at that rate. But I still can't get a handle on what I can eat now.
Twelve weeks is good though. I'm pleased. I'd consider it a success if I can be this same weight next summer.
Thanks for being here everybody. It really helps me to read the posts. It doesn't matter that I'm trying to maintain and you are trying to lose. It's still one week at a time. All we want is to be healthy. Go for it.

There are not a lot of groups or challenges on here for maintenance. I appreciate you sticking with us and letting us see how it goes for you. Perhaps we can pick up some tips.

Thanks Donna. I appreciate it. I've checked out some of the groups under "Maintenance". But on this forum I feel like I have some accountability. Those other groups are kind of anonymous.
@LittleSurferGirl7 Thank you for responding. I've never in my life been at a stage where I didn't feel like I wanted to lose at least ten pounds. (I'm 73). This is totally new territory for me. One time I compared it to living in a foreign country and not speaking the language.
In other words I don't feel confident about maintaining this loss. I've gained and lost weight in the past. I've also read those horrible statistics about the number of people who regain the weight.
So I'm kind of lost here. I eat more than I should (and LOTS of white bread and pastries). So far so good. But I could definitely improve my diet. Luckily I don't have type2 diabetes.
I appreciate you all. Thanks for letting me tag along.

Yesterday I weighed in at 185.0 but weight loss is not linear and sometimes fluctuations just donβt make sense. Yesterday I exercised for a full hour (double the normal time). My calories in were only 884 and my carbs were way below goal. It was not on purpose. The heat (no A/C) just caused me a serious lack of appetite. I should have shown a loss, not a gain but it is what it is. I hope to increase calories today but stay within plan. I certainly donβt want to slow my metabolism! I've adjusted my goals for this 10 pound challenge. I had started at a 12 lb goal but have reduced it back down to the 10 called for in the challenge. Unless I screw up royally in the next couple of days, I should be able to make goal. But with unexpected fluctuations, who really knows. Have a great Tuesday ya'll.

I am mid-vaca so I expected a jump from last week (2 parties, cake, ice cream, lots of junk) but I had a lot of fun. I didnβt reach goal, but I managed to maintain this challenge which is a huge plus for me since I usually gain this time of year. I will be joining next challenge. I hope everyone finished strong. π

π π π π π 07/31---188.8 β (Trend Weight β 188.1) Yesterday was a day of travel, sitting and restaurants. I hate to end the month (and the entire challenge) on an uptick weight that will probably go right back down in a matter of days with due diligence, but it is what it is I guess. I know I would have made goal otherwise since my best weight this week was 185.2. Frustrating! However, I am very grateful for the losses I am showing this challenge and look very forward to the next challenge. See you there!
