No run yesterday as the weather was stormy and thought my feet could do with the rest. I did extra on bike instead though. Had a good run this evening and only need 2 miles tomorrow to hit 80 for the month

@chris_in_cal I understood what you meant on the boyfriend/girlfriend run 😅

@quilteryoyo Hope you can get some proper sleep tonight

@john772016 Thanks John. I’ve had a good month.

Enjoy your business trip @Teresa502 . Colorado is one of my favorite states to visit.

You did great this month, all things considered @yirara .

@Mari33a Nice running. I slept a bit better last night, but I do hope tonight is even better.

Love the doggie pictures @swenson19d . MFP did an update and now we can't put pictures under a spoiler. You can make them smaller if you wish, by clicking on the middle button, I think, after you post the pictures. You can make it small, medium, or large. We're still hoping they will fix it so we can spoiler pictures again.

It's after midnight, so I guess I am posting yesterday's run. It was probably my last weekday 7-miler for a while since I am starting my new job on Monday. The weather was really nice. This run puts me at 190 miles for the month which is my highest monthly mileage ever.

Your dogs are adorable @swenson19d .

Congratulations to all who made their goals and all who tried. See you all over in the June thread.

So glad to see you back @swenson19d . I’m sorry to hear all you have been through the last few years and hope things will turn around for you this year. Keep on keeping on!

@chris_in_cal I know what you mean with the media breaks. I’ve been feeling kind of overwhelmed at work and needing to take some time away from social media because I was struggling to keep up and just not feeling particularly chatty. I came in today to 91 posts!

@summerskiier Yep, black flies. I looked that up and that’s exactly what they are. It’s weird that I’m seeing them around here for the first time this year. I’ve been running outside in summer for years and lived here even longer and not had an issue until this year. I occasionally see horse flies and @WarmJellyfish yes, they really hurt. But luckily those aren’t super persistent. These black flies will chase you and I’m over them. It hasn’t been particularly wet this spring/summer so I wonder what caused them to pop up.

PS @martaindale those black flies used to land on Bandit and I had to slap them dead with my gloved hand to get them off. Awful things. I wonder if the creeks have changed somehow causing more wet land.

    Nice shuffle @chris_in_cal .

Congratulations on an amazing month mileage @kgirlhart !

Way to exceed your goals @tarun_yadavA - esp for your birthday month!

You did great this month @daria0919 .

@martaindale I think we all have those times when we just don't have the time, or want to interact. Glad you didn't abandon us.

OH NO @SummerSkier ! I hate to see that! I hope it is "just" a bruise and rest, ice, and elevation help. Glad you are able to sleep and sit with no pain. It looks nasty.

@SummerSkier That looks painful! I hope it is better soon with rest and ice.

@SummerSkier That is swelling up fast! Hopefully it goes down just as quickly.

This morning I went out to the Stratton Open Trail system and ran 6.3 miles. There were so many trails. I just turned right when I felt like it and left when I felt like going that way. I could see my resort down below so I knew the general direction I needed to go to get back. The trail was muddy from yesterday’s evening thunderstorm which was helpful when I tripped on a rock and went down. I landed on my knees and the palms of my hands. Luckily, the mud cushioned my fall and I didn’t even have any cuts. Made my goal of 75 mile for the month – barely!

Ouch @SummerSkier – that looks very angry. I hope it heals soon. Just ignore FitBit and take care of it!

Sorry about your calf muscle @martaindale but yeah for South Africa! Please share photos with us!

    Nice runs @kgirlhart, @ContraryMaryMary, @chris_in_cal, @tarun_yadavA, @Teresa502, @yirara, @Mari33a, @quilteryoyo, @AlphaHowls & @martaindale!

    Cute dogs @swenson19d
Ouch @SummerSkier! & @martaindale ! Hope you both recover quickly!!
Congrats on the landing on knees/palms with no damage @Teresa502, I can say, I have no idea what it feels like not to have damage!

Congrats to everyone on a strong month, hope to see you in June!

    May:

    30/05 - 0km / 0 miles Rest day
    31/05 - 0km / 0 miles - Stationary bike ride for 23kms

    Total = 162.68km / 101.08 miles (Goal - 161Km / 100 miles)

No more runs for me for May after I hit my goal this past Thursday, as I promised my Dr. I'd take a rest day 😁.
Happily, he's not opposed to me continuing to run & referred me to some specific physio (which I'm all for) before sending me down the neuro testing spiral for the nerve pain.

He also asked me if I needed a prescription for pain meds and just started chuckling, then said, 'take Advil'……private joke as he knows I've haven't taken a pain med prescription from him, regardless of what I was going through, in the 15+ years he's been my Dr.

    Amazing, as always @AlphaHowls .

Congrats on such a great month for both running and riding @Mari33a .

@martaindale I hope a little rest is all that your calf needs. That sounds painful. Enjoy your trip. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

Congrats on making your goal @chris_in_cal . Nice run today.

Great running and glad you weren't hurt @Teresa502 .

Great job on making your goal @John772016 . I'm glad your doctor is on board for you to continue to run, after you take a couple days off. I hope the physio can help.

Great running everyone. Even if you didn't make your goal, you did much better than the majority of the population!

    80.00/80.00 mile goal

I made my goal, but it wasn't really pretty. 😉 The weather was nice at 64°F (17.8°C) with a pretty stiff breeze. I did a little over 2 miles on the driveway, until Tippy tired herself out, and then finished on the rural roads near my house. I intended on an easy pace, walking whenever I wanted - trying to keep my HR down. After doing 7 miles total yesterday, my legs started getting tired at about 4 miles today. As I was running, I was thinking that I would run 3 miles and walk 3…then, I'll try to run 4 miles…..then, let's see how far I can run in an hour. I did the 4.75 miles in 59m21s, so had an avg pace of 12:30 min/mile. That's actually pretty good for me, esp since I wasn't trying to run fast at all. Avg HR was 136 with a max of 155 bpm. Splits were 13:15, 12:25, 12:47, 12:34, and 12:21 min/mile.
