@daria0919 - A couple of friends and I signed up for the Richmond HM in November! I hope you will be around and we can have a meet-up.

That’s great @Teresa502!! I’m planning on doing the 8K and would enjoy a meetup with you and your friends!

Great, that is a nice area. I visited my Uncle and Aunt in Williamsburg, VA a couple of years ago and really liked all the woods and scenery.

I am cutting myself off from posting myself anymore on this thread. I am trying to cut down on my social media usage and have replaced it with this as I keep checking for new posts on here way to much.

Sounds like a plan. A suggestion, as you were writing about motivation, perhaps you can trying making checking here on this thread a treat, you only come on here to check once you have a run you did that you are going to post here. Once you have posted your run, then you can read and comment on the rest. Just a suggestion. Whatever you end up trying I hope it serves you well. Good luck.

Didy usual 3 miles before work today. I also used this run to do some faster intervals as it is probably the last nice morning we will have. It was 60ish this morning! So out of season but temps are climbing this week so I doubt we'll see temps like that until fall.

I hope all of you moms had a great Mother's Day. Mine was really good. My four sisters and I took our mom out for dinner on Saturday. We had a great time. The restaurant we went to was having live music. I was afraid it would be too loud to hear each other talking, but it was fine, and Mom really enjoyed it. My husband had told me earlier in the week that he was taking me to lunch on Sunday, and I should probably do my long run on Saturday. I asked if the kids were meeting us and he said no. I was hoping they might be going to surprise me, but they called me on Saturday evening. My son had gone to my daughter's house, so they did a video call. I was really glad that they did, and I didn't spend Sunday morning hoping they would show up only to be disappointed. So, when we got to the restaurant on Sunday, I was really surprised when they showed up. It was a great day. I took it as a complete rest day too. I didn't go for a run, or a walk or even do yoga.

Today I was back to running. I ran a 7-mile tempo run. I didn't have it set up as a workout, I just ran the first mile as a warm-up and the last mile as a cool-down and ran the five miles in the middle at a faster pace. I ran the first 10K of the run in 1:00:46. That is a pretty speedy 10K for me especially since it wasn't a race.

Congrats on your race @John772016 . I can't imagine running a race with that many people.

That menu looks awesome @quilteryoyo .

I love the pictures @ContraryMaryMary and @WarmJellyfish . I love seeing all of the beautiful places everyone runs.

I'm glad your dad is doing well @martaindale.

We are going to miss you @angf0679 . I do understand about spending too much time on line. I think it happens to all of us sometimes. Wishing you well with your running goals and life in general.

You're doing great @daria0919 . How is your ankle feeling? (It is your ankle that's giving you issues, isn't it?)

Thanks for the info @WarmJellyfish . Pretty cool looking bird.

Nice run @martaindale . I hope the temps don't heat up too fast.

What a great Mother's Day surprise @martaindale . They did it up right. Nice looking family. Great run today.

@ContraryMaryMary Nice running. Your yard really is going to be the envy of your neighborhood.
