Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.

Turns out that I am not getting another day off until June 24th due to one of my co-workers going off to the Philippines for some family stuff. I will have to make sure that I am getting good nutrition. The extra hours will be good to have before the property taxes are due at the beginning of July. I expect that I will get some bonus days off during the hot summer : - )

My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But itβs proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

So going into week 3 I have 3 weeks of 0.7 to lose which is 2.1 lbs. Iβve got to make a big dent in that this week or the numbers will get too big and it will become impossible. So far, my plan is not working but Iβm not giving up yet. I just need to do better. BE better. My trend weight is still going down showing the faith my body has in me. Iβm not going to let it down. This dashboard works for me. Green means I hit the goal, and the goal this week is to have less red than last week. This is such a slow process that I can only see it in the numbers so far.
Yesterday's exercise included a total of 65 minutes of walks during my breaks and after work.

We had a lovely evening out last night. We drove downtown and went to a local Italian restaurant and then went to Cirque du Soleil. The performers put their bodies into some unbelievable positions.
The scale this morning was up from yesterday, but the same as the previous day. I definitely ate more than I needed at dinner. I planned for it earlier in the day by eating my normal breakfast and then have a protein forward, small and later lunch. Overall, I ended the day with a 100 calorie surplus, which is nominal in the grand scheme of things. Still a 2000 calorie deficit for week 2.Notes regarding my chart are in the spoiler
calories IN are rounded up to the next 100 (eg., tracked calories IN might be 1824, these will be rounded up to 1900)
calories OUT are rounded down to the next 100 (eg., tracked calories OUT might be 2372, these will be rounded down to 2300)
Exercised before breakfast column means:
β> '25% before 75% after' means I ate 25% of my breakfast before exercising and 75% of my breakfast after exercising.
β> 'after' means I ate all my breakfast and exercised after; usually this means I exercised in the afternoon or late morning

I had set myself a target of 1600 calories IN as a target for completely sedentary days. I almost never meet this target because I'm pretty active. I'm keeping it in for now.

@CharmingPassion one week does not define us. it is small consistent changes over a long period of time that create big results. My son suffers from migraines. I'm sorry to hear you are also a migraine sufferer. I hope they don't linger and repeat.

@plantpowered You are right, this is a slow process. The weight didn't come on overnight either. I gained my weight over four years. So far, this year, I've lost 9lbs. We are currently in week 22 of the year. That's an average of 0.4lbs per week. It is small, but I'm seeing the difference in the numbers and am starting to feel the difference in my clothing. Today is day 143 of MFP food logging. I even recorded while on vacation and have agreed with myself that I will continue to log every day at least until I've reached my weight goal. At the rate, I'm going, I should reach my weight goal by next spring.

Happy Friday everyone, it is a new weekend, I have been messed up all week what day it is! I love long weekends, and short work weeks, but remember the pattern is sometimes hard! I started a spreadsheet that is keeping a rolling average of weight loss by day, so I can see how I am doing for my challenge goal of 189. Here is where i am at today, I am going to post this every Friday. Daily updates for the goal is too much noise, it is the trend that matters over the 100 days, we have 84 days left. The Avg Day loss is still very volatile, it should become more stable as we get to 50-60 days left or so. This is why I am not having weekly goals, it is the over all trend that I am going for. Weight just fluctuates so much that it's the big picture that matters! I am focused on the big goal of losing weight, keeping muscle, improving my health and enjoying the little moments that make up a day!

Bigger meals two days in a row, a bit of a spike (more like a giant leap than a bit), but I know it will adjust in a day or two. It is putting my weekly goal in jeopardy, but as Jon says, it is the trend over time that matters. Yesterday was a good day. It was active recovery day on my workout program. I went for two walks and did laundry.
Progress so far in 2025. I've forced the weight to 120 to keep an eye on the ultimate 125 goal.

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.
Week 1 Start Weight: 144.4
Week 1 Goal: 142.4 (seems lofty, but I was at 143.0 for two days in a row at the end of the last 100)
Week 1 Actual Weight: 144.2- Hit 142.6 this week, the day before the end of our week, which was so close to my goal.Week 2 Start Weight: 143.2

Day 15β05/29β 143.6 - A jump up in weight when I thought that I would see a loss. Unavoidably late dinner due to work is what I attribute it to. Turns out that I am not getting another day off until
June 24thJuly 1st due to one of my co-workers going off to the Philippines for some family stuff. I will have to make sure that I am getting good nutrition. The extra hours will be good to have before the property taxes are due at the beginning of July. I expect that I will get some bonus days off during the hot summer : - )Day 16β05/30β 142.4 - Going into day 3 of my 35 days without a day off. Smooth sailing for the 5 out of 7 days that are at my primary job (Indian restaurant) since it is like my home/living room there. The tough days are when I run from that job to the 2nd one. I won't be able to pick up any shifts at my 3rd job for the foreseeable future. I like picking up shifts there since the pay per hour is much more, so my CPP contributions rise. Yes, including tips I make more than that at the other 2 jobs, but I am looking long term at my monthly "pay" from CPP. Not going to be able to retire, but I do plan to cut back to 4 days per week starting at the beginning of 2026. (My rambling stream of consciousness this morning)

This is a great idea to keep an eye on the long-term trend. I can relate to this since short-term fluctuations can really feel like a setback even when I've been hitting my marks.

My goal this week is to keep the food and exercise categories completely "in the green". Let's see if I can avoid any of those going "into the red" this week.
Here were yesterday's workouts. Pre pandemic, I was a bike commuter for over a decade and I also rode with a bike club, but, OOF: it's been a long time. I'm working on getting my "bike legs" back. I use the Zwift app for bike workouts. It is a lot of fun.
