Happy Humpday everyone! We are starting the slide into a weekend, and for some of us a three day weekend!!! Woot woot!
I am 57, 6'2", my goal for the 100 days is 189 or better. I started at 4/11/2025 at ~217.
Day 01—05/15— 209.5, 1600 Cals, 69 minutes of riding, 18 miles on the bike
Day 02—05/16— 209.5, 1575 Cals, 5300 Steps, rest day because of weather
Day 03—05/17— 208.0, 1572 Cals, 4562 Steps, 27.5 miles on the bike
Day 04—05/18— 208.0, 1640 Cals, 11,164 steps, No ride
Day 05—05/19— 207.5, 1591 Cals, 5035 steps, one nap! :)

I didn't exercise yesterday, but I did clean the fridge and weeded the front garden. Of course, we also walked the dog. I know I didn't lose a pound since yesterday, the drop is more likely due to holiday bloating coming down. I also did my first evening with my goal to improve my sleep. I did 2 of the 3 steps.

Round 21 Ending Weight: 147.3
Round 23 Ending Weight: 142.3Day 01—05/15— 141.4. Movement was minimal. Husband worked late last night so I wasn't able to get to the gym, and my sons had some appointments and stuff that kept us busy through the day. Food was great, though. It helped to be out of the house and away from food for most of the day. I'm hoping to get more activity AND do good with food today. It seems like it's been just one or the other a lot lately.
Day 02—05/16— 141.5. Finally got it all right. Food was good, went for a walk and went for a run (4 miles on treadmill). Another busy day today, not sure I'll be able to go for a walk, but I'll do what I can.
Day 03—05/17— 144.8. I knew I didn't make the best choices yesterday, but didn't think it was THIS bad. Higher carbs, more water, a bit too much food in general. And here we are. I did go for a walk, but no gym.
Day 04—05/18— 146.5. Well, I'm not doing good. Lunch out with MIL and then had ice cream at night because I already failed at my goals for the day. Not the best logic, I know. I need to start doing better.
Day 05—05/19—145.0. Yesterday was much better, but still room for improvement. It was a busy day, so I didn't eat much until the evening, and then I ate a bit too much.
Day 06—05/20— 144.2. Slowly getting back on track. Food was pretty good, until the beer. Exercise was good. 3 mile walk and a 4 mile treadmill run.
Day 07—05/21— 145.3. I don't know what happened. Had some more carbs than usual yesterday, so I guess I'm holding on to some extra water weight. I did not do well this week at all.

Weight can vary for hosts of reasons, day to day weight is very misleading, try and just follow the trend. Your body can hold on to water for days, because of other reasons. So focus on the weekly trend. One good day or one bad day isn't going to show up. It is the over all process. Just keep trending down! :)

@dawnbgethealthy Hello, and I have not tried fenugreek, and I'm intrigued. I'll check my online store. I also love lentil sprouts. Those are so easy to grow in jars.

I'm fighting the temptation to develop the spreadsheet. I know what happens… it becomes onerous, and if I want more data, it's all in the MFP app anyway.
I did get my hour of exercise yesterday: dance workout, spin bike, and strength.

I came across this article about snacks. Apparently we all eat them, I know that I do. It is not too long of a read, and it mostly tells things that we already know. It is just a reminder on what can really mess with our metabolism. It suggests options that are better. At the end of the day, even healthy snacks are not healthy if we exceed the amount.
I use Firefox, so I am not sure if this will work for people who are interested in the short article/reminder.

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. I live in SE British Columbia Canada. I am 5'2" (or 5'3"?) and 64 years of age. I have done a bunch of these 100s now, I have lost count lol. I was sitting at 130 for quite awhile, trying desperately to get into the 120s, but gained little by little over the last couple of years. My "ideal" weight should be between 110-118 for my height, BMI, and stuff. At this point I just really want to get back into the 130s.
Day 01—05/15— 144.4 - Really not sure why I gained from the last 100 end weight.
Day 02—05/16— 142.8 - Hmmm. I have been averaging around 1089 calories per day because of my busy schedule. Yesterday I had 1389 and lost weight… Maybe it is just a fluctuation though.
Day 03—05/17— 143.2 - I had company and it was wine and snacks, could have been worse on the scale. Now only 3 more days of my 6 day work week until a day off. Prepping my food this morning to take to work since I am working 11-7 but normally work split shifts on these days so get home for "lunch".
Day 04—05/18— 144.4 - You would think that I would be used to fluctuations by now, but they still upset me. Everything on point. Still raining here which I know that we need to prevent forest fires. I fear that the seeds that I planted in the garden will be rotting instead of sprouting. We'll see.
Day 05—05/19— 142.8 - Okay, better. However, tomorrow is my only day off, so I normally eat something "good" and have a few cocktails. I am okay when I gain a bit from having something indulgent. I am not okay when I am on point and gain anyway. Split shift today.
Day 06—05/20— 142.6 - My split shift turned into a straight through shift. Very very busy at the restaurant and I didn't get the break to come home and eat. I ate like 2 strawberries throughout the day, no time for anything else. Last night I had 7 chicken wings and 2 cocktails, but I was still well within my calories. Day off today, a bit overcast but less windy than it has been. Lots on my list for my only day off, it makes me tired just thinking about it lol.
Day 07—05/21— 144.2 - Good day off working in the yard until a rain and hail storm came. Kind of shocked at the gain, but shouldn't be since historically I always gain when getting in a good day digging in the garden. Low input, good output, but the scale results are kind of disappointing. I guess that the 1/4 cup of granola in my 1/2 cup of yoghurt was my only fibre for the day, which I really have been trying to better, but failed yesterday.

Day 01—05/15— Forgot weigh myself again!
Day 02—05/16— 170.8 - Had lot going on the last couple of days, but I am back! Yesterday was more of a carb day than a calorie one. Haven't been able to walk because rain won't go away! It is supposed to clear up tomorrow.
Day 03—05/17— 170.8 - Right now it's sunny but it's like summer out there 85⁰ and humid! A cold front will bring more rain, but cooler temperatures. Had a bagel for breakfast...will have leftover salmon for lunch.
Day 04—05/18— I forgot.....gotta do something about that.
Day 05—05/19— 171.8
Day 06—05/20— I72....I think. I got blindsided today. Had to see a dermatologist. What everyone thought was a wart is most likely a squamous cell carcinoma on my right hand and it looks like another one is beginning to form. The doctor took samples and a biopsy will determine for certain but she talked like she was sure. Added to the whole thing is now I hurry up and wait. The lab results take 2 weeks and then I get a body exam, although I am sure this is only on my hand. Then I have to arrange surgery to remove the growth and I have no idea how long I will have to wait for that. So I am stuck with this painful, itchy growth which is limiting the use of my hand for who knows how long. I had fried chicken and french fries then came home and ate ice cream....I don't know what my weight will be tomorrow. Sorry for the pity party....I am bummed.
Day 07—05/21— 170.6 - Well, I got a bit of a surprise. My weight was actually down. I didn't make goal but I am encouraged to stay on track today. I had a cheese omelet and a small amount of cottage cheese for breakfast. I will probably have an early dinner of salad. Gonna get to goal the next time!!

Hi. I’m a senior from central B.C., Canada. Back for another round. Ultimate challenge goal is to lose 20lbs.
Day 01—05/15—181.8 taking 2 weeks off work to overcome some arthritic challenges. Didn't accomplish much except load of recycling to depot. Treated ourselves to a steak for supper but then caved into snacking on crackers and hummus as well as plain cookies later in the evening. Notice that when 'the fire' is lit (wood heat) and it's warmer downstairs I'll go down and watch tv in the evening, farther from the kitchen. If I sit up here by the computer then I snack.
Day 02—05/16— 180.4 Any loss is better than a gain. Plans of decluttering kitchen and starting to prep for painting. However sun is shining so need to get out for a walk. Daily exercise (cardio etc) used to be a no-brainer, now it's a challenge. 😥
Day 03—05/17— 181.8 Am okay with this gain b/c I indulged in ice milk last night. Have been battling the craving for ice cream for nearly a month now and it wouldn't go away. Decluttered. Walked 30 minutes.

My goal from the very beginning has been to lose one pound per week for a total of 12 pounds per challenge. I have never considered that to be too much and I never thought in a million years I would find it this difficult, even at my age and with my health problems. But it’s proved to be nothing but an uphill climb and in most cases, impossible. I am going to lower my goal to 10 pounds per challenge and see if that will feel more right, more do-able. I, again, thank you for sharing my journey with me and allowing me to travel with you on yours. It is reassuring, refreshing, enlightening and inspiring and I am forever grateful.

Day 06—05/20—195.4 (Trend Weight –195.2) I ended up out of town and out to lunch/dinner yesterday (my first meal of the day). My new push lawnmower delivered to store arrived and we went to pick it up about two hours away round trip. We decided on a restaurant and I know the calories and carbs were very high though I only ate about half. It would not have been too bad if not for the snacks last night. One snack should have been enough! Anyway, the mower is one of those battery operated ones. For a widow like me it will be nice to not have to worry about gasoline or oil changes etc. I just hope it cuts sufficiently. I bought a very good brand with a 7.5ah battery so fingers crossed! I already have a riding lawn mower my person I hire usually uses for most of the yard. This would be for tight areas or if my person does not show up.
🌺🌺🌺 🌺🌺 Day 07—05/21—195.4 💠 - (Trend Weight: 195.2) 3rd day in a row of the same weight. It was a pretty good day yesterday. I may have shown a loss if not for that rare cocktail I had last night. Actually, it was two….. Too much high calorie and high carb Orange Juice. Today I take my two oldest DGS’ for their hair appointments. Dinner out afterward which is customary. Sometimes I don’t eat and just get water. I suppose it depends on where we go. They pick so we’ll see. So, on my efforts to break down my losses into 0.7 increments this week I see that I’ve already failed in week 1 though I’m not surprised since I started on day 6 of 7. I have inserted the numbers I would like to be at (at the 0.7 loss) per week so now I will have to play catch up over the week or the coming weeks, especially since there was a gain. I can clearly see that not losing the 0.7 doubles down and makes future weeks harder, but GAINING in a week makes it nearly impossible. Uphill battle already! I will leave the “land at” numbers hoping to finally reach those goals in those weeks. This will get harder and harder to catch up as the weeks go so goal is to strive for any progress whatsoever to ease my load. This seems like it would have been easy but starting off on the wrong foot will make every single week hard now. I’d still like to give it a go for a bit and see what happens. Week one finds me at 1.9 lbs above goal already with the goal to lose another 0.7 in week two bringing the total I would need to lose this week to 2.6 . I can see how quickly this can get away from me. Numbers don’t lie. No wonder weight loss/progress is so hard! Anyway, I’m going to keep going for a few more weeks at least to see what happens.

Well, its been cold & rainy here. I’m suspecting my healthy vegetable soup has more sodium than I realize. I’m going to exercise today. Bike riding and lifting weights. I have been doing a lot of intense gardening and cleaning which is good. However, I also have been neglecting formal exercise. So today is a great day to get back at it.Hope everyone has a great day😊

Hello! I hope everyone is having a good week. Spring is springing here, almost, going to be cold and raining this weekend 😔. So I am hoping to get a lot of riding in Friday and Saturday morning. Sunday and Monday aren't looking good!
I am 57, 6'2", my goal for the 100 days is 189 or better. I started at 4/11/2025 at ~217.
Day 01—05/15— 209.5, 1600 Cals, 4987 steps, 69 minutes of riding, 18 miles on the bike
Day 02—05/16— 209.5, 1575 Cals, 5300 steps, rest day because of weather
Day 03—05/17— 208.0, 1572 Cals, 4562 steps, 27.5 miles on the bike
Day 04—05/18— 208.0, 1640 Cals, 11,164 steps, No ride

Day 01—05/15— 141.4. Movement was minimal. Husband worked late last night so I wasn't able to get to the gym, and my sons had some appointments and stuff that kept us busy through the day. Food was great, though. It helped to be out of the house and away from food for most of the day. I'm hoping to get more activity AND do good with food today. It seems like it's been just one or the other a lot lately.
Day 02—05/16— 141.5. Finally got it all right. Food was good, went for a walk and went for a run (4 miles on treadmill). Another busy day today, not sure I'll be able to go for a walk, but I'll do what I can.
Day 03—05/17— 144.8. I knew I didn't make the best choices yesterday, but didn't think it was THIS bad. Higher carbs, more water, a bit too much food in general. And here we are. I did go for a walk, but no gym.
Day 04—05/18— 146.5. Well, I'm not doing good. Lunch out with MIL and then had ice cream at night because I already failed at my goals for the day. Not the best logic, I know. I need to start doing better.
Day 05—05/19—145.0. Yesterday was much better, but still room for improvement. It was a busy day, so I didn't eat much until the evening, and then I ate a bit too much.
Day 06—05/20— 144.2. Slowly getting back on track. Food was pretty good, until the beer. Exercise was good. 3 mile walk and a 4 mile treadmill run.
Day 07—05/21— 145.3. I don't know what happened. Had some more carbs than usual yesterday, so I guess I'm holding on to some extra water weight. I did not do well this week at all. I'm determined to make next week better!

A quiet day yesterday. Walked the dog but didn't do much else. The vacation bloat is continuing to leave me as I continue to get back to my more normal eating habits. Vacation always seems to increase sweets and alcohol. If anyone has any tips on how to avoid that, I'm open to ideas. Especially, for a 10 day cruise coming up in August.
