SW Rnd 301 134.0
6/30 133.5 Headache, going to water fitness anyway
7/1 135.0??? Did water fitness, Walmart, nail appointment. Lots of movement - UGH! Going to lunch with neighbor today. I need to fast for a week!
7/2 133.0 lunch was canceled so I fasted until 3:30. Then had 2 small hotdogs with 1 oz cheddar, no bread. Weather is iffy today and tomorrow with high wind warnings and dust storm warnings. I’m drinking my version of BP coffee minus heavy cream. I have been adding waaaay too much of that to coffee - every cup instead of just the first cup. Today- zero cream, only 1T Mary Newport oil blend. The Weather Channel said thunderstorms at 7:30 and I just heard thunder at 7:20!
7/3 134.0 OMAD yesterday was “Chicago Style Dog” and fries. Not a great choice but nothing really appealed to me. I don’t care for the “snap” that our Chicago friends love.
7/4 133.5 🇺🇸Happy Birthday, USA!🇺🇸 “Picnic” this afternoon.
EDIT: Water fitness and water walking - 2 hours - 300 cal
7/5 134.5 7 weeks until DGS’s wedding No TMI x 2
7/6 132.0 A few more days like this would make me super happy. I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t eat.
7/7 132.0 Yesterday was a good day, today I’m making bread after water fitness.

No workout today after all that heavy lifting and moving yesterday. Also not near enough water. It was horribly humid and hot. I was drenched in sweat nearly the entire day. Decided not to weigh because it would be a horribly false weight. I actually got sick last night because I was so overheated. Pushing tons of fluid today and have my meals planned/prepped.6 -

SW RND 3️⃣0️⃣1️⃣ ~ 231 Goal this round 227.6 or less than started, whichever comes first!
6/30 231.2
7/1 231 ~ New Month. Working to control the things that I can! Apple has a sense of humor. I closed all my rings 19 times last month. Guess what my monthly goal is for July, close all your rings 19 times! At least it's doable and somewhat motivating as I'm 6/6 on receiving the awards in 2025 and I want to be 12/12. I hope they don't give me something outrageous in the months to come. I was 9/12 in 2024 and 10/12 in 2023.
7/2 231 ~🍎💧🚫 yesterday was a work day, so nothing extra, did get my exercise in and my steps but fell a bit short on closing my rings….late post for today ~ it was a long day, had to drive down (90 min) to take my sister to an MRI. She’s still not aware of her diagnosis, just that they need some additional test. Still hoping to get to speak with the doctor before her next appointment next Tuesday. Somewhat of a stressful day and didn’t plan meals well. Did get on the treadmill this morning and I will close my rings. Tomorrow may just be a RTW day! Looking forward to a nice long walk tomorrow!
7/3 230.4 ~🚶🏽🍎💧🚫⬇️ I'm glad I didn't refuse to weigh…it wasn't bad at all even though we ended the day with pizza and salad! My first AM weigh was 230.8, my after 3 mile walk was 229.0, so I'm reporting the average for my mental state…. I need to see some movement! I did close my rings yesterday and I will also close today.
7/4 230.8 ~🚶🏽✅💧
7/5 230.6
7/6 230.6 ~ 🚶🏽🍎✅💧⬇️ I'm tired from all the patio exercise yesterday :) It's been gloomy all morning with a 75% chance of rain within the hour. Looks like a day to reengage with my VR set.
7/7 230.6 ~ Fixing my dates above :) - I need a couple of strict days to end this round!! Yes!!
7/8
7/9Thank you, re the patio! @Chapter_3 yes…memories…for sure. @SModa61 @musicsax , yes, it came out very well. This is as "creative" as I get! @judefit1 I don't want to rush it but I can't wait to do a fire. Actually I told my husband we should get a mini solo stove to use now (for light and bug repellent). It's super small (about the size of a container of disinfecting wipes and it takes wood chips!
@RossC2025 ~ nice job and you still have a few more days to go!!
To climb steep hills requires a slow pace at first.
💜MY MISSION STATEMENT💜
Show up for myself daily—with strength, grace, and purpose.
Choose progress over perfection and stay the course.
Honor my body through movement, nourishment, and belief.
Each step moves me closer to my healthiest, happiest self.
I am strong. I am steady. I am unstoppable.4 -
Yeah, I'm right in the middle of Friday morning's worst flooding area. Thank you <3
6 -
Thank you. We are strong but this is truly heartbreaking.
The amount of support we've gotten from around the country has been incredible, though. It blows my mind how quickly others step up and volunteer or donate without question to help. We are most certainly better together

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 300
June 30 – July 9, 202563 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020 – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss if2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
SW MFP Jan 1, 2023 – 146.6GW Maintaining between 124 – 126 SW: 127.6 Since my weight is slowing coming back down, I’ve added back in history details INCLUDING my maintenance numbers. In January, it seemed silly including my goal was to maintain 124 – 126 when I was weighing 138. Those maintenance numbers are in sight now. Just need to get there.
SW: 130.2
6/30 – 130.4
7/1 – DNW
7/2 – 131.0 Is it possible I did not report in for TWO days. I knew I skipped the scale yesterday, and then did not post. I had no idea until this morning that I did not show up here on Monday as well. So I skipped two, but the good news is that I ONLY skipped two. The bad news is also that I skipped two. :P Going to sit here and pre-track my day. Gotta get myself in order. Was in a good place last week. I need to return. Happy July everyone – only a day late!
7/3 – 128.8 Yesterday, was thoughtful. The only negative for the day was that I splurged on a cappuccino at the restaurant last night, and forgot to say decaf. Had a great evening until I could….not….fall….asleep, and I remembered I forgot to say decaf. Not sure how many hours of sleep I got last night, but certainly not what one wants. I wonder if I am going to get hit with withdrawls today. Otherwise, today should be good. :)
7/3 – 129.2 Posting super late today. Was up cooking early to bring things to my daughter, who hosted today. Middle of the day was party, which included my 88 year old, now disabled, mom. After running around with that (though a nice day), drove home, packed and cleaned some more, loaded the car and drove to Maine. Sitting on the couch now waiting for the fireworks out our window.
7/5 – 128.0 I guess I did better than I thought yesterday. I have to assume that I overestimated the calories in the calzone slices. The rest I pretty much knew.
7/6 – 128.6 I did make it to the gym yesterday. First time vising a planet fitness that is not my “home” location. Worked fine, but it was confusing trying to find the machines I wanted. I mainly used the dumbells, which they had a nice supply and lots of mirrors. Eating was acceptable calorie wise, but LOT of carbs and lots of salt. Also went to first IMax movie, and I smuggled in a 130 cal single serve veggie stix (more salt and carbs). So several reasons for an uptick today.
7/8 – 129.2 I did some bad math yesterday, but final number should not have been a gain. I did go walk part of the eastern trail yesterday. I found the mosquitos!
7/9 -5 -
@Zaxa2021 You are still down 1.5 lbs from the start of this round and two days left to make a bit more impact. You are doing great! Chin up!
@lolakinks You are still going down on the scale. Wow, that dress is going to look great on you! Keep going, my friend!

You'll reach maintenance, soon. Hang in there!

Someone should have brought the corn hole game! I need at least a one day buffer from the scale. I will strive for today to be good. DD and DGS left early today so that will help for sure. I will also try to get in some exercise. Rain today so it will all be indoors.
💥💥💥 07/07-189.4 ✅ - (Trend Weight: 190.5) I’m relieved to see I’m back in the 180’s , even if it’s by the skin of my teeth. My trend weight is slightly up so I know the holiday got me there for a minute but I’m doing okay now, I guess. I finally got some sleep last night which probably helped. I’ve also been keeping up with some intentional exercise. Now, to move forward with progress, especially on the dietary front! I can definitely do better than I have throughout the holiday!

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 301 (my 231st). So grateful as always @quiltingjaine .
Goals for every round;
First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life.
"Health is wealth
".6/29 DNW - 9.23 miles walked yesterday, it was supposed to be a rest day before DH ran the 25k run around Sheffield today! We walked to a local town for their Open Garden event & managed to get around 28 of the 30 gardens, but Wirksworth is built on a hill, so as well as the distance there were lots of stairs and hill walking between the gardens!!
EW Rnd 300 139.6
SW End 301 139.6
6/30 DNW - 8.67 miles walked. DH did finish his 25k run, but really suffered over the last stretch, Sheffield is surrounded by 7 hills & the trail run was up and down these hills around the city, he could barely walk when he finished; the course is brutal! And it was hot! My miles were clocked up walking from the start across the city to meet him halfway with jelly babies & water and then back to see him finish, oh & did mention our DD did it too? So proud of them both. DH is suffering this morning.
7/1 DNW - a very gentle 8.85 miles walked yesterday all on the flat as a recovery for DH, he's more or less fully recovered today. Moving up to Harrogate today for the second part of our holiday.7/2 DNW - 6.15 miles walked yesterday, more purposefully now DH is recovered. And what a change to the weather! Monday 30 degrees C, this morning 18, only 91 miles further north, that's British weather for you!!! 😁
7/3 DNW - 6.04 miles walked. Day started rainy, so we went to do the food shopping for the rest of the week & then drove an hour to Keighley to a NT property & bonus, it was lovely and sunny there👏.
7/4 DNW - 10.06 miles - happy 4th July everyone 🎉.
7/5 DNW - 10.23 miles walked to Harrogate from the camp site, around the city & back, beautiful old buildings.
7/6 DNW - 10.03 miles walked, a wonderful last day in Knaresborough before we travel home today.
7/7 142.4 – whoops ! That’ll be the 3 Yorkshire cream teas we had over the 10 days holiday plus the extra alcohol – a glass of wine each evening instead of just weekends. Back to it today. No structured walking, due to travelling back home, restocking food supplies from the supermarket & tidying up our garden neglected for 10 days whilst we were away: it looks lovely this morning after it's attention and the long awaited rain that we had overnight, the first for several weeks.
7/8 143.6 – don’t ask!! Got to catch this before it goes crazy! 6.85 miles walked.

7/07 DNW7/08 181.2 I knew it was bad. I gain faster than the average bear. This would be my highest recorded number in a year.
It’s like I just stuck my head in the sand (or a picnic basket) for two weeks.
I know it’s an actual gain, gain because I can feel it when I’m working out. I can still push through the hard stuff but not with grace.
It is the hardest to show up for myself when I’m going in the wrong direction. Driving to the gym for an advanced class yesterday, knowing I was going to struggle took a certain level of determination.
Getting on the scale this morning stunk! Typing in that number absolutely the worst.
I did stick to sensible eating yesterday. I also won the fight with my afternoon snack monster, I might have just thrown popcorn at it but that is a win!I do have my 5am feelings of being able to conquer the world but also some lingering disappointment in myself for derailing so hard. I have to let that go!

@CamandJarvis Take care of yourself girl. I know in this moment your community comes first but drink your water, fuel your body and get what rest you can. It’s going to be a long road.
@itladyee Absolutely love the patio! Perfect place to get all of your feel good vitamin D during the day and watch fireflies from in the evening.

Based on yesterday's caloric intake, I expected to break-even, or maybe gain a very small amount. Need to buckle down for the last day of this challenge.

Happy to be starting a new ten days. These will be my last ten days before my birthday, when I will be firmly ensconced in the upper 60’s. (yes I know, I am already in my upper 60’s)This round will have Independence Day along with traditional get-togethers. DD and her boyfriend will join us for a couple days so our whole family will be together for some parade, cookout and fireworks. My grands LOVE their aunt and “uncle” from out of town.
Without the goals above yesterday, my calories would be in a galaxy far far away, and I would have just stayed inside without getting a nice long walk done.

I could get into this downward trend.Another hot day yesterday. Spent most of it with DGS. Some of that was reading at the public pool along with DW while he frolicked around making new friends and using the water slides.
Another walk before dark saved the day. I LOVE the long days of summer. I capped the day with a game of Gin Rummy with DW where she came from WAY behind to beat me. We just score wins and not all the other fluff that true Gin players do. I am ahead for 2025, 12 games to 11.

Started up a small group bible study yesterday. It will go for 6 weeks with a couple week break in the middle. Good friends. Of course I brought Dunkin Munchkins and ate about 8 of them myself. I didn’t know they were 55-60 calories a pop, and I forgot to log them until this morning. I wondered how my CI could be so low yet I add almost half a pound. Mis-logging, that’s how. Thankfully I was still on target. One of my problems is mis-logging. Either I totally forget something, or I tell myself a little white-lie about the probable calorie count or quantity, or I just don’t know the actual quantity. (I don’t want a food scale on the counter) It might be helpful to log as I go without saving the reckoning until the end of the day.
7/3: 223.0

Missed the target by a bunch. Total weakness yet the scale did not tattle on me. Probably a penalty tomorrow. I should control myself today since Friday will be a food fest.I will have something removed by my dermatologist today. Not enough to show up on the scale tomorrow. HA!

Lots of self-control yesterday. Excellent exercise (18 mile bike ride plus lawn mowing) and good food choices.Feeling like I am on a roll, but today is a big food fest day. Happy Birthday USA! 250 Years. I am so old I remember the Bicentennial Celebration. (I don’t remember the signing of the Declaration of Independence.) I will be cooking part of the meal today. Brats and chicken on the grill and baked beans on the smoker.
DD got here last night after midnight. (I slept through it) Looking forward to hugging her when she wakes up.
7/5: DNW
Yesterday was a washout, the magnitude of which I will never know. Why? I didn’t log therefore target not visible. And I did not exercise. AND, when I stepped on the scale this morning … nothing. Dead battery I suppose. NSV: I had the courage to step on the scale after a day with three big meals.Leftovers loom in the fridge.
I had a wonderful time with family which was not a washout. DW made my traditional Birthday Blueberry Pie. She has been doing this for decades.
7/5 Part B
✏️
OK I went back and at least logged what I ate yesterday.7/6: 226.4
✏️💓
I don’t have a replacement battery for the scale in the house. In the meantime, I did one of my favorite tricks. Take the old battery out, clean it and put it back in. Good for a few uses more. It kind of makes that sound when you drink the last bit of milkshake with a straw.I ghastly jump up, but not unexpected with the holiday food we had. Smoked Baked beans, potato salad and pie galore. And, you should have seen the way “they” forced me to eat it. I was a true victim.
Some should drop off with a little sensible eating today and waiting.
7/7: 225.8
✏️💓
At least the reading was lower. Third day in a row with Target not hit. Still grinding through leftovers and they are very high carb and low protein.Reading was down but the trend is up.
7/8: 224.2
✏️🎯💓
All goals finally met after a poor streak. Weight still trending up due to my past transgressions. There are/is still too much potato salad and baked beans in the fridge. We are staring each other down.I must get some quality exercise accomplished today.

@Skyleen75 : I know that feeling too well- avoiding the scale pretending it'll all be just fine, but knowing how my body feels when I move; I've been doing it this whole year. But you're tough, resilient, and you caught yourself- you took the biggest step!

It's a tough balance, there's such a thin margin between gaining, losing and maintaining. When I'm thinking clearly, I know the key is paying attention, having a plan of some sort and knowing that it's about the calories. So if I do something that's high in calories during the day, I need to adjust the rest. So simple, right??? Hah…

My weight has been going the wrong direction since about the beginning of May. It's time to refocus.
6/30: 146.2. Yesterday, I did about an hour walk on the treadmill and a 30 minute walk outside in the evening. I started the day tracking food, but didn't keep at it all day. Today's goal is to track everything, do a treadmill run, and a walk outside.
7/1: 146.2. Tracked all food yesterday and went for a walk outside. I did not get to the gym to run though. Same goals for today: track, walk and run.
7/2: 144.4. Goodbye to some excess water weight (finally). Yesterday was a good day, as far as eating. I logged everything and was under my goal. I went for a walk, but wasn't able to get to the gym to run since my husband worked late and I had to stay home with our kids. I'm really hoping I can go tonight.
7/3: 145.3. I had pasta for dinner last night. Pasta always makes me hold onto some water weight. I stayed in calorie goal. I ran 4 miles on the treadmill (finally got to the gym!) and went for 2 walks.
7/4: 145.0. I met my goals yesterday: food was within calorie goal, I went for a walk and a 3 mile treadmill run. I don't think we have any plans for the 4th that will derail me today, so I'm aiming for another good day today.
7/5: 145.6. No explanation for the gain, guess it's just the normal fluctuations. Food was on track. Long walk but no run.
7/6: 143.7. A nice little drop. I've been working hard and staying on track so it's nice to see that reflected on the scale. Hoping it sticks around. Food was within calories, went on a shorter walk and did a 6 mile treadmill run.
7/7: 144.7. I knew the huge drop yesterday wouldn't stick around. But my trend weight is still moving down, so I'm happy with where I am for now. Food was good yesterday, did a walk and a 4 mile run.
7/8: 144.7. I was over on calories, as my husband cooked dinner for us last night (delicious but high calories). It was a much needed rest day from running. I did go for a bit of a walk, but it was shorter than usual partly because the heat even first thing in the morning (in AZ) was getting to me, partly because my legs were protesting after a recent increase in running. And honestly, I just wasn't feeling it.

6/30 Had to weigh even tho up @ 3 :30. No TMI x3 days… terrific day yesterday! But, I am tired this morning. Dragging. I truly wish I could sleep at least one more hour /90 more minutes… simply must figure out this sleep thing. Pleased I participated in the #3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣mini challenge and completed it… I learned more about my thought patterns. A Successful “Celebrate with action” ten whole days. Looking forward to this round - with better sleep . (Manifest!) ONWARD!
7/1 peculiar day. I knew I was overly tired. Went back to bed at 11AM and slept for 2 1/2 hours! Foggy the rest of the day, but I feel great today! 🎾+🚶♀️💓⏱️🏋️♀️
7/2 130.0?! I actually stood on the scale five times and it said 129.8 and finally the sixth time it said 130.0 which I sincerely don’t believe any of that… The unexpected ⬇️ is just as unwelcomed as the unexpected ⬆️? Did a good night sleep for two days FINALLY allow my body rest and relax to let go and do its thing?!? Is this a real whoosh or just a tease? I’ll keep it up though. I had to push myself to register 10k steps and 300 jumps yesterday because after two hours of 🎾 I just did not want to… Felt accomplished after… Did not 🏋️♀️yesterday. Will do today. ONWARD!
My dream: to simply not ever care on any one given day what the scale reads … To not let it impact my day one iota. To know in my soul “I’m good”. 😊
7/3 130.4. We ate late last night. Only 90 g 🥩. No 🏆The 130.x seems real- a “win” by keeping consistent. And…. Water intake has been 💯& I’m sleeping better so hypothesizing that my body is releasing cortisol - not holding on to stress and finally headed toward enjoying a balance of mind/body/soul. Sleeping well supports good decision making. Pushing towards 70 min of Z2💓 and 300 jumps each day has many psychological benefits for me… Simply pushing myself a little more builds self- discipline & confidence. Only did 10min of 🏋️♀️yesterday will do more today. Why do I push back on that? I am AVOIDING the most important activity!! However, I had an awesome “mobility“ training set that I truly enjoyed. Slow walk this morning in prep for the 🇺🇸4 on the 4th tomorrow. (The humidity is so, so bad right now🥵) … Our goal will be around 60 minutes… I’m not sure if Tucker can make it so we’ll walk jog walk jog…. My hubby is leaving for one week today. (One of his brothers recently lost his wife and so the brothers are getting together in Colorado to camp/hike & bike…(ages 72, 70, 67 & 62) I’m VERY fortunate to be married to a man who prioritizes his health. I will miss him big time! But also an extended opportunity to focus on me!! 💪🏻
7/4 & 7/5 A CRAZY thing happened on the way to the scale⚖️@ 5 :30AM 7/4 before our race yesterday … I literally, not figuratively, freaked out because I read 137 lbs… 🫣😬😳Then, I weighed again - the scale went DARK… Then I changed the batteries and nothing happened so I ordered a new scale to be delivered late today (hopefully) or Sunday. SO there I was running around the house, finding batteries, replacing batteries, totally focused on the darn scale when it really shouldn’t have mattered a hill of beans while getting ready for the race… It’s scary to confess the range of emotions that flooded over me yesterday- straight-talk telling me that I am overly obsessed and re-confirms why I have these major self-image issues. I mean, get a grip Carolyn! Why can’t I simply trust my efforts and not rely on the scale? I’m also sincerely concerned that the scale has not been accurate for some time (LOW?)… I actually believed I was trusting the process? What does the number REALLY mean? I mean, it is what it is… right? Why was I overly dependent on the scale in that moment? I managed to settle down after a few long minutes, but the panic was real. A really, REALLY sad unintended discovery. Couldn’t sleep last night but am determined to have a peace-filled day & go with the flow. Sheesh.
7/6 I was in my head all day yesterday - agonizing. Many unsuccessful efforts to reset my attitude. Finally, around 5:30PM, I said JUST GO DO IT … 70 minute 💓Z2 completed 🚶♀️10k steps & 300 jumps… and a solid nutrition day over on Pg which isn’t a bad thing… At 1350 cals,🏋️♀️25min (early in day). I felt like a petulant child… kicking & screaming inside my head most of the day. As agonizing as the day was, I finished it off strong. Scale to arrive this evening?
Much, much better attitude this morning after a good night sleep… Sleep is King!
NSV: strong daily habit of tracking key measures and food… it’s now engrained. I think that’s why the scale fiasco had me rattled - if I’m up 5 lbs (without a clue - “clothing fit” is same) I will reevaluate. I realize it’s not the “5 lbs” per se… It’s everything (goals) which might be off? But it is what it is - I’ll tweak & adjust. ONWARD!
7/7 ✅ another day of lacklusterly / grudgingly going through the check off box… “they” say self-discipline is more important than motivation so that’s where I’m at… I got it all done yesterday… ✅
⚖️ came at 8PM last night - will set it up today. Walk early & plan a “clean” week. I jumped on the “cottage cheese” train and Im puffy & bloated. Its helped with protein goals but my body doesn’t like it! Retaining fluids/ TMI. 5AM Carolyn is starting to appear!
NSV: Avg steps @ 9 .7k for 4weeks. A handful of days under 3k so that hurt… Moving forward, I’ll push for 10k steps but make sure off days are a minimum of 6k. ONWARD!
7/8 133.4 🤔 🚫70 min 💓Z2 only 60 min (I hit a wall but was still satisfied). I need to finish strong with 🏋️♀️two more & will end a satisfying round. Still flustered regarding weight /scale but so proud of my consistent movement & mobility strengthening past two rounds. I’m only wondering how long has the scale been off? These past 20 days have been spot on with workouts and calories. The only thing I can think of is that I’ve been eating a lot more dairy than usual… And studies have shown it’s not only calories it’s what kind of calories… Dairy and I have a very bad relationship. Other than that, the kitchen has been a W! As much as I love the cottage cheese to add protein, my body simply cannot process it. (I re-learned something I already knew! Stick to what you know, silly!) I can FEEL the rejection of too much dairy. I’m hoping I’ll be back to normal in a couple of days. Yes, I am deflated re: ⚖️, but I am still determined to adjust & continue. 💪🏻 We now have a trustworthy scale so I am good to refresh & continue! I’m grateful & present.

I don't feel awful but yesterday I nearly made myself sick trying to up my water intake. Oops! I wasn't able to get near enough in to fully recover from the weekend as of yet. Today I'll aim to improve on that number until my body can handle the increased intake again. Back to the gym today but I took it easy. I pushed to failure but dropped my weight so I wouldn't over-do it or cause injury. I'm still quite sore from the donation day Sunday.5 -
@musicsax Should I ask what cream tea might be?
@Skyleen75 @judefit1 One of the things I have learned over time is that it is easy to show up when things are going well, but it is so much important to show up when one is struggling and one is inclined to avoid. My history unfortunately reflects tendency, and it is something I personally struggle with. You both handle this well! Bravo!
@RossC2025 I know that many here use some sort of scale averaging calculator. You might like being able to see your overall trend through your data.
@_JeffreyD_ Leftovers are always more challenging for me that any party or meal. For one, there is no longer any audience. Two, we must "make them gone before they go bad". The struggle is real.
@judefit1 Dining out is something I have reasonably handled. I make sure that I don't deprive, in the sense that I LOVE what I order. But with that, what I do is I tend to avoid ordering from the "entree" section. I don't need the added calories from the "sides", which most of the time are just fillers (at certain restaurants that is not the case and they are special). Most of the time, I get two appetizers, or a great salad and an appetizer. I will NOT waste calories on a boring basic salad EVER. When DH and I went out two weeks ago, I got a salad (yes, it was less special, and I brought in my own dressing) and an appetizer of seared deep sea scallops over a bed of sautéed shaved brussel sprouts and bacon. It was glorious, but overall calories were reasonable. Anyhow, that is my trick for most dining out occasions.
@Chapter_3 as for scale. sorry for the troubles. I am lucky that I happen to own my travel scale as well, and if I ever have issues with my "normal" scale, I have it as backup. I have proved in the past that they are within .2 lb of each other.

7/7 – 129.2 I did some bad math yesterday, but final number should not have been a gain. I did go walk part of the eastern trail yesterday. I found the mosquitos!
7/8 – 128.0 No walk, calories good. We are heading back to MA a day early this time, so only limited days in ME. Packing and cleaning this morning and leaving at 11, but should get home early enough that maybe I can get in an exercise session.7/9 -

7/6 230.6 ~ 🚶🏽🍎✅💧⬇️ I'm tired from all the patio exercise yesterday :) It's been gloomy all morning with a 75% chance of rain within the hour. Looks like a day to reengage with my VR set.
